This handlebar mustache tutorial will demonstrate simply and easily how to look good, stand out and be a classy chap for the lady out there you'd like to impress. It's less than 2 minutes and you'll be looking spectacular fast, easy and well-groomed.
Death Grip Mustache Wax is ideal for all your grooming needs. A little goes a long way, so you do not need to waste product by using a huge amount. Simply spread wax evenly without “pilling up”. For best results, use a hairdryer or heat up to make the wax more malleable to attain the perfect curl and shape you desire.
Our Mustache Wax is made from all-natural beeswax and can maintain an extra strong hold for up to 8 hours or more in hot or cold temperatures. Our product is great for outdoor trips, water adventures, casual outings, no matter the activity your mustache will hold. No need to constantly touch up or worry about flyaway hairs with Death Grip Mustache Wax.
What customers have to say...
EXTRA STRONGHOLD TACKY - if you plan on going on a couple day trip of white water rafting, riding wild elk like horses, or flying with bald eagles and don't wanna touch your stache or mess with it and still want the curls this is the wax for you.
It will hold forever, Hold too good. Would work for someone that needs a strong wax, like super hold hair gel times 10. It almost works too well, the strongest hold wax I've ever used. It's even hard to get out of your mustache, keep it there in hurricane-force winds, this is far superior to the other 6 brands of “extra firm hold” I’ve found, needs strong and tacky hold, best mustache wax I can find I have extremely curly hair and my handlebars always seem to push forward like a crab wanting to attack somebody.
A word of caution, this mustache wax is extremely strong and extremely sticky but that's a good thing. Sets fast and holds all day, gets me through an 8-hour shift no problems. Hold your stache in place overnight which I hadn't experienced before. The wax is good and hard, so it has a nice hold, but the pine resin makes it pliable (and a little sticky). It's really got a unique texture compared to other waxes, and I find it creates a more natural look.
Stuff holds like cement! Excellent holding power!!!
LASTS A LONG TIME - My current jar is four months old, with daily use, and I have at least two weeks’ left in the 1oz tin. little goes a LONG way, I’ve slept with it on and can still use the next day. Takes a good washing to get out. Yes, this is tacky. Yes, it holds all day. doesn't stop working for days at a time, It can last a few days, even when showering. Stronghold 8-12 hours per day, sometimes much longer. lasts for a few days easily! held up at the Waterpark into the night.
This isn't wax. it is glue. If you have thin, soft, light, colored hair for a mustache, then this is the firmest I've found so far. Lasts all day. Doesn't "pill" up!

The guitar pick is a cool gimmick
Thank you! It makes it very easy for scraping the wax from the tin and applying without making a huge mess :)
Hands down best product IFFFF you are committed. It's a process but you wont regret it.
Thanks so much! This is why we have always said "caution for serious mustaches only" :) Cheers!
I’m not the only one that does the hairdryer trick!!! 😂
It's pretty much essential with waxes like Death Grip and Bone Crusher. Thanks for watching!
Damn!! That mustachio lookin top tier!! Been working on mine for the last month and a half. Feel like next month I’ll be able to finally curl it! I’m not looking to go big yet. But I bet once it’s going imma want it 😂😂😂

Very fancy mustache my dear boy! I only wish I can grow a mustache of that caliber.
It comes down to your genetics. Anyone in your family history have a handlebar? Stay patient, let it grow, and see what happens. Thanks for watching!
There is possible nothing more manly, that using a guitar pick to apply styling wax to a handlebar mustache! 👨🏻
It also saves you from trying to figure out how to do anything while having the extra tacky wax on your hands lol. Thanks for watching!
Free guitar pick😮
Yep, in every tin of mustache wax! Thanks for watching
Its too much costly how we buy like this

Thanks for watching! Sounds like you are off to a great start. Stay patient and let it grow. Mine started as a joke and the joke just kept growing. I've had the stache for years but this is pretty much as long as it gets. Cheers!

Cool 〰️!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed. Cheers!
Is this the OG Death Grip or the new Bone Crusher wax?
@@marloh417 This was with the OG Death Grip. Thanks!
I'm your huckleberry :)
Does this guitar stimulate the growth of the mustache and thicken it?
No. The guitar pick is there to make it easier to scrape out the wax and can even be used to apply the wax directly to your mustache. I wax is very tacky!
Esse é o verdadeiro bigode grosso. Top demais
Obrigado!
Oh, a guitar pick used properly.
I have for the last 3 months been growing out my first ever mustasch and it is turning in to a nice but bushy handlebar. To get it as big and neat as yours, would you advice me to trim or to just let it keep growing?
Thanks for watching! I always recommend letting it grow and using wax and a comb to train before you do any trimming. Trimming this early on will result in a thinner mustache down the road.
@@DeathGripWax Thanks for the advice!
@@The_Entertainer- any time!
Can I use this on my hair
I would not recommend that. We make a really nice Pomade as well as a Hair Clay though. www.deathgripwax.com/collections/hairstyling-pomade-clay-brushes
How do you stop it twirling forwards?
Lots of training. The whiskers can have a mind of their own but the more you train with wax and combing the more it will lay the one you want it to. You can also make sure you use enough wax at the base of the curl to keep it in place. Always hit it with cool air to help the wax set for best results too. Cheers!
Thats the most daper stach ive ever seeen! Good show sir!
Thank you so much! Appreciate your kind words and thank you for watching.
Guitar pick
Yep and it works perfect for scraping the wax out of the tin. Cheers!
That's a badass mustache sir! I've got a mustache myself and I'm training it to be a handlebar. It's not that long though. I'm wondering how long it's gonna take me to grow it out that long cause I'd love for it to be that long. That's cool as hell.
Thank you! Everyone's stache is a little different and some just never get that long. Average growth for facial hair is 1cm a month. Thanks for watching!
@@DeathGripWax Cool thanks for the info. I've had mine pretty long before. Prolly longer than the average person gets theirs to, but I ended up shaving it. I'm letting it grow for even longer this time. It's really uneven and needs trimmed but I don't really wanna cut it down yet to make it neater. Id rather just let it grow.
@@kennethgray7020 As a general rule you want to train rather than trim. Stay patient and keep at it!
@@DeathGripWax You don't think trimming it so all of the hairs are even will make it look better and neater? So I should just let it keep on growing? I had a long ass mustache a couple of years ago that was super neat looking, but I completely forget how I got it to look like that. I've gotta picture of it too, but I come up with a blank when I think about my care routine back then. It was straight and even all the way across and I'd use a stash comb to comb it straight down. It covered my lower lip it was so long. I'd like to get it like that again somehow. My stash right now is super uneven. Like, I'll have super long hairs here and there and it's not uniform and all the sane length which bugs me sometimes. I call it the Doc Holiday because it looks like Doc Holiday's mustache from Tombstone, except maybe a little bit longer than that. I get it though that I probably just need to let it grow out before anything else. I just get tempted to try and trim it to even it out, but that would be cutting off length which would just make it take that much longer to grow. So I should probably just leave it alone for now, huh? Just let it get longer and worry about trimming it later? That sound right?
@@kennethgray7020 If it is crazy uneven then it may not be bad to carefully trim just the ends to even out. But then leave it alone! Haha. If you do trim, use scissors and start SMALL. Keep the stache clean and hydrated. Train with a comb and wax to get the shape and style you want.
Bigode groso 😎
Obrigado!
Dónde?
Available on Amazon as well as deathgripwax.com. Thanks!
I cannot get this stuff to work well. As soon as the drier is off of it it hardens and then I can’t spread it. Or I have to use the drier on it while I’m putting it in and nearly burn my face… I’ve had bone crusher and sudden death… can’t remember which is which but the softer was best.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble with Death Grip. It definitely has a learning curve and is for serious mustaches only. Sudden Death is softer and does not require a heat source so that's probably the one you like best. Feel free to shoot us an email at deathgripwax@vintagegrooming.com and we'd be happy to send you another Sudden Death in place of that Death Grip tin. Cheers! - Tim
Why are you using guitar plectrum
Our founder, Derwood is a musician and we also find it to be a cleaner/easier way to apply our stronger waxes.
Is this available in India, Brother you see I am a sikh and I don’t trim or cut my beard but no wax present here is effective enough
Hi! We ship to India from our site www.deathgripwax.com Thanks for watching!
🥵
Se ve bonito, pero a mí no me gustaría hacerlo tan rizado 😊
Gracias. Cada uno tiene su propio estilo. Haz crecer lo que disfrutas.
Love that. But a wax will just hold it for 5-10 minutes. I am looking for something that works for more than just for a photo
Our extra strong hold waxes hold all-day when used correctly. We frequently have people say the waxes last a few days actually.
@@DeathGripWax Please give me a link and I will order it immediately and try it out. Today I use ”got2b GLUED water resistant spiking gel” which sags in half an hour but still holds kinda well for a full day. The best strong-hold wax I have tried is like grease and cannot hold the shape at all. Paper glue is about the same as the gel I use
Hey. Can i style my mustache same with sudden death too?
Hi! Thanks for watching. I don't know how long your mustache is or how long you have been training it but Sudden Death is certainly a great option for a handlebar mustache. The hold isn't as strong or tacky as Death Grip wax's but it still does a great job. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
@@DeathGripWax can the sudden death apply to the mustache size in the video reference. Is it good hold for mustache like in the video ?
@@jaarbachai sudden death is a strong hold and can shape a trained mustache into a handlebar. The hold is not as strong or long lasting as Death Grip or Bone Crusher which are both extra strong hold.
That mean sudden death can't hold strong handlebar like in the video projection. Ok i got it dear.
Thanks
@@jaarbachai It will hold but not as long as Death Grip. We guarantee our products 100% as well so if you try it and find the hold isn't what you expected we will replace or refund. Thanks!
But the thing is what if I don’t have a blow dryer or don’t want to always use it?
Easy solution - use our Sudden Death Strong Hold Wax which doesn't require a heat source to apply :) Cheers!
It doesn't work.... I have tried mainy times
Sorry to hear that! Which wax did you try? What steps did you follow? Happy to help you out and we guarantee our products 100% so if you ever have any troubles please reach out at deathripwax@vintagegrooming.com
How, what am I doing wrong 😭
The growth comes down mostly to your genetics. Also Levi has been training his mustache to do this for many years. Thanks for watching!
The title of the video is directly on top of the step by step instructions making it difficult to read just a heads up. Thank you though!
Sorry about that. CZcams Shorts and their title have bad placement I guess haha. Happy to help if you have any questions or anything was unclear. We have several videos on using the products so hopefully another will be easier to view. Thanks for watching and for the honest feedback!
You look like D-Low 🫢🫢
The beatboxer? Or a different D-Low?
@@DeathGripWax yeah, te beatboxer 🙌
(I’m saying it with no hate by the way, your mustache is awesome 👏😎).

Product names price bro
I'm not sure what you are trying to tell us but thank you for watching.
@@DeathGripWax he wants to say what is the name of the wax. What about its price. I have same question too.
@@ms_dhaliwal It's literally in the title of the video haha. Death Grip Mustache Wax is the wax. The price is 14.99 USD and available on Amazon or deathgripwax.com. The link is in the description of the video too. Thanks
How many months of growth were you at right here?
This is actually pretty much Levi's terminal length so a few years of growth with occasional trimming. Average mustache growth rate is .3 to .5 inches per month.
Using waaaaaay more product than you need. 🤔
Really? Can you explain more? Thanks
@@DeathGripWax if you kike the glossy fixed look, then this fine,
But if you want the natural fixed look, you could use about half that amount.
Also, You might have the best mustache on CZcams, so fantastic job, on that.
Liked and subbed. 👍
@@JoshBruin77 Thanks for the details. Levi usually waxes the stache but will have natural look days as well. Appreciate you watching and subscribing. Cheers!
Wayy
How long does it hold?
When applied to a clean, dry mustache it should hold for up to up 8 hours or more. Some folks have reported it holding for multiple days :) Thanks for watching!
