It has not been used much but recently I charged it up, not once, but several times overnight. After my last outreach to Remington I spoke with a representative who told me that it would no longer hold a charge since it was worn out. So now I have to deal with replacing this trimmer

Forget about using Remington products. I had a $ 20.00 trimmer which was made, of course, in China. It came with several attachments. I rarely used it except to trim my sideburns. It died on me a couple of years ago when it failed to hold a charge. I contacted Remington and they told me " .... oh well, it is not meant to last and you should go buy another one " I have been shopping around and there are a host of trimmers to choose from but I think that I am going to go to a local retailer and buy a Wahl trimmer. These people have quality made trimmers and as I recall they are made in the USA.
