    You answered a lot of questions I had about how to set up and run 4 monitors!
    though I run an 8020 rig with separate monitor stand....I did get the Simlabs Vesa Vario Mounts for triples,
    to fine tune and adjust monitors accordingly,and am running the 4th overhead of center

    nice vid man and I dig your rig. Your center is 24" but what's your side monitors? I been contemplating triple and use VR mostly, but VR gets tiring and I do enjoy the higher resolution and not wearing a headset all the time. So I have 1 Alienware 34 21:9 1440P. I could buy 2 more, but don't think that will be necessary. What about mixing screen sizes? Can you talk about that? I'm thinking of just adding 2 1440p 27 for my side monitors. Any suggestions? Thanks

    • @TheMMitch78
      @TheMMitch78  Před 4 lety +1

      All my monitors are 24" they just look funny due to wide angle go pro lense fish eyes which makes them look wider. Biggest issue mixing screen sizes, models or brands, is triple screen support in some games and getting screens to properly align. Other than that its possible in most cases, especially if all have the same specs as you mention. Yea VR is cool, But in my play style its too inconvenient, and less immersive to me as i like to use my button boxes ect... In the future i think it will be more widely accepted once they figure out how to improve its performance.

    Mitch! Nice setup. Thinking of one like that. Can you tell me exactly how wide it is from the edges of each of your flanking monitors? Have a narrow space to put it in but I think your setup looks like it'd fit in the space I have. What cockpit do you use?

    • @TheMMitch78
      @TheMMitch78  Před 3 lety

      James, Its about 55" wide when using 24" monitors, depends on that bezel size and angle the monitors are at for exact measurement. As for the rig, its custom built, wood. I have a walkthrough video on my channel that shows it a bit better. czcams.com/video/QZvh7PSfvn4/video.html thanks for your comments.

    My husband just purchased 3 QHP LG Ultragear monitors that are 32" 2560x1440 with 165hz refresh rate. He has an Omen HP gaming computer that he bought in 2020. We cannot find a DP mult-port adapter for the monitors that supports the 2560x1440. What happens if we try a multi-port HDMI adapter that is 1080P? From what I see on the display settings & NVIDIA control panel there may be options to choose the 1080P instead.

    whats your thoughts on a 1660 ti ? reference to all this.. i have 3 lg 4k 32" $300s monitors.. just reference the price to hopefully allow you to hone the set up.. Im running and it seems to work .. but playing ats when turns at high speeds it gets pretty blurry and uncomfortable. is that normal or settings issue or ?

    • @TheMMitch78
      @TheMMitch78  Před 3 lety

      Its only blurry when the rate of motion on screen is high? It could be some settings that need tweaked, But also 3x 4K on a 1660, your definitely pushing your hardware to its envelope, Iracing isnt too demanding but anything on 4k x3 takes alot of hardware to run. First thing I would do is drop resolution to 2K, or HD, and see if you still have same motion blur, if no, its your graphics card not keeping up at 4K, If yes, then its a setting that needs tweaked.

      The monitor is just a cheap AOC 1080 60hz monitor, nothing special, Its even a VGA Hook up with an adapter to HDMI. The Screens that run on the 19" as well as the 5" Screen are both a software called Z1 Dashboard, Works with most racing games on the market.

    • @TheMMitch78
      @TheMMitch78  Před 3 lety +1

      For MSFS you can simply undock a MFD window and move it to another screen, All you need to do is hold Rh ALT, then left click on a panel and it will undock, then slide that to another screen. In general to use your 4th monitor in game just run your games not in full screen mode.

    • @TheMMitch78
      @TheMMitch78  Před 3 lety +1

      I do believe any combination is possible, as ive seen it in other videos and pics, But i have not personally tried. Im sure its possible, but probably several more tweaks and settings are needed to compensate over monitors that all match. It may vary game by game as well, as im sure games that fully support triple monitors could compensate ok as they have built in adjustments, Games that do not support trip screens (That stretch the image instead) may have a bigger issue trying to do this. Good luck if you try it! Thanks for watching and commenting.
