Jamie is dyslexic!! That's so interesting. I know a dyslexic person who has an OP score of 2 (who is also blonde). He works with disabled kids and heard some staff member complaining about dyslexic clients being so hard to work with because they're "stupid." He said anything dyslexics know, they have to work harder to learn, therefore they aren't stupid.
You are describing the difference between actual intellectual impairment (low IQ or what used to be called mental retardation, though the latter term is well on the way to being phased out) and learning disabilities, of which dyslexia and attention deficit disorder are probably the best known. I'm just curious, but does anyone know if it's possible to cure dyslexia by forcing someone to read and study harder? Up until the late 1800 I dont think the term "dyslexia" existed I think they called it blind something... Is that truly effective?
