A lot of common strains responsible for sickness dies when food is properly prepared. Though not a one size fits all solution, making sure you only eat blazing hot food from sketchy places keeps you relatively safe, much safer than cold drinks etc.

there are no caps, no lids either .. only an old fashioned glass marble inside the bottle - that gets stuck in a groove and blocks the co2 gas from escaping out of the bottle
