I think you should get some kind of Nobel Prize for making Wednesdays wonderful! Thank you, once again.
I really enjoy watching your tutorials. Your sense of humor is so enchanting. thank you for sharing it with the world.
You know Paul, your happy hands painting reminds me back in the old days when we could buy 5 postcards like your paintings for a dollar. Thanks for your trips down memory lane.
Love it! As to your question about different words… 35 years ago on a trip to the UK, our group saw a sign at a restaurant: NO FOOTBALL COACHES. Meaning no soccer buses. We of course thought they were banning NFL coaches. 😅
Lol! - love that!
Lorry = truck. People-carrier = mini-van. 4X4 = SUV. Thanks for the fun tutorial!
Well , there she is , good ole Rusty ! I’ve been chillaxin with her my whole life . Just had a visit a short spell ago , up the 395 Hwy in Bodie Ghost town .My sister , Kathleen who is a member here also , has Rusty’s sister , Dusty full of Gangster bullet holes , livin in her Ghost town home in Tropico Gold mine , just a quick drive down the road .
As they say , Rust never sleeps and old as the hills and twice as Dusty 🌵
Thank you Paul for choosing this lovely gal from my heart ❤️
That is amazing! I learned to drive in a 1937 Chevrolet. Beautiful.
Paul. hope you and Margot are having a great time with your students in Ibiza!
This was a great video to watch. It's made me realise that it's about time I revised my very rusty techniques. I've been busy with a big project for the last 3 months and done almost all pencil sketches when I've (somewhat guiltily,) taken some very necessary time to go out, get some fresh air, and do some art just for me!
The project's almost done, and the weather's getting better, so I'm really looking forward to being free to get out and paint before it gets too hot. So, yes, almost time for some revision.
Many thanks for this much-needed 'revision lesson' as well as a very enjoyable 30 minutes watching magic happen before my eyes. 😊
Up early once again before the grandkids get here so I can get my painting in ! Funny thing , I’ve found myself talking with your accent after a tutorial ! Thank you again from WA !
I would never have thought I could think of a rusty old car as beautiful, but you've given me a new perspective on their intrinsic beauty. Thank you!
Thank you for this beautiful painting of the desert. I brings on a feeling of the desert. I always learn something new watching your tutorial. Another word for car is automobile. For desert it is wilderness, for cactus - prickly pear.
Just love this old rust bucket. Again some terrific reinforcement of principles of contrast and light. Shade and dark. Thankyou. Going to give it a bash.
Two great loves of my life - the Sonoran desert (Saguaro cactus) and rusty abandoned vehicles. You have "hit a home run" on this one! This piece will inspire me to start doing my art again after a fairly long dry period. Thank you! You're the best artist I have come across on CZcams.
How totally refreshing to watch your video presentations, Paul. No complicated mixtures or techno talk. Down to earth, This is the way I do it! Your voice is soothing to hear and only adds to the efficacy of the presentation. Carry on and I will carry on with you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved it. I agree with you on old style cars. Far more character and not a wind tunnel in sight.
Hope you have a great time in Ibiza, my niece has lived there some years now in Siesta and has a great life.
Marvellous painting of an “old rust bucket”..& nice to see the paintings of other painters….enjoyed 10 winters in Az with all the desert plants etc….safe travels
Great! But for the cacti and MAKE of car, this could be our back garden, you know! Thankyou! XXX
Love this..I am a fan of rusty bikes, mailboxes, tractors,Etc..Loved doing this..GLad I watched it first..I would have had trouble having those colors ready to go!! Thanks Paul..You are the best..
Have a good trip..
have fun in Ibiza, stay safe and i will miss our weekly virtual meeting. lovely painting, nice subject. Well done for all the paintings at the end of the video. you inspire and transform so many and talented people and i am one of many( not talented) but inspired to start and paint and draw . see you next time, thank you and lovely Margot.❤

Great idea, on the list!
Your are indeed an amazing artist/teacher. I am enjoying going through your paintings, especially the antique cars and trucks. I just can’t seem get enough of them. I am learning so much even though I have been painting in watercolor for the past 10 years. Thank you.
Thank you so much 😀

Fantastic painting! We'll miss you while you're away, but enjoy Ibiza!
Thank you so much for this, Paul. I followed along and painted this for my Dad for his 70th birthday. I couldn't have done this without your leadership. Love your videos!
Great to hear - cheers Kim!
Another lovely video ! Thank you Paul . I love that you wear a T Shirt to match the painting you are about to teach .
Really enjoyed this. Some great tips and a super result. I am old enough to remember owning rust buckets like that nearly 60 years ago. The difference was that I was driving them. Thanks again.
Andy
Absolutely beautiful Paul!
Wow another brilliant tutorial Paul so skillful I will watch this over again a few times to absorb the technique and the way that you work, brilliant, enjoy ibiza
The only other thing I would have added was watch out for snakes…eek. Thanks Paul, enjoyed the detail today.
A beautiful interpretation of the “painted” desert. Lovely 3-D effect on the rocks and car, almost pops out from the paper! The saguaro cacti are well done 🌵. I’ve been out to Arizona to visit my aunt, the cacti are very impressive. Thanks for another lovely tutorial, Mr. Clark 🎉
I love it. Think I learned to drive in one of these. Awesome job. Sherry
All of your videos inspire me to get back to paint …one of these days when I manage to get over the fear of white paper. 😅Thank you so much. I love what you do and your cheerful self.
You can do it!
So fun! I paint at my neighbor’s junkyard sometimes. Rust is a great exercise.
Such a long time since I've managed to watch one of your demos Paul. I remember seeing all the photos margo put on ages ago and drooling over them. So enjoyed watching this. X
Goodness gracious, my favorite day of the week! Wonderful Watercolor Wednesday!! And dare I say, you as always never disappoint. This rusty old gem of long past times laying nestled in it's desert bed. Your exquisite painting so brilliantly brings out the rusty colors, the fine workmanship of the original automobile, the effects of long wear, tear and time. As ever, your superb techniques with the card scraper bring the rocks to life....I am quite sure that if a pile of rocks could talk....we would hear them whispering amongst themselves.
Thanks ever so much for sharing with us your amazing talent. Safe and happy travels in the coming weeks, you will be greatly missed by this avid subscriber!! 👩🦳🖌️😢
Couldn't resist this one. Was a fun lesson, vibrant colors. Great way to pass a cold afternoon in Michigan, waiting for spring. Thank you!
Magnifique !! Un coup de baguette magique et elle reprend la route !!! Encore bravo et merci
Such a blast painting this with you, Mine didn't quite look like your's but it was one of my better Paul Clark look a likes. Loved doing the details, the best. Thanks so much. Can hardly wait to paint another.
Thank you so much 😀
Wow! Wow! Wow! Makes me almost want to paint an old rusty car! 😉. Amazing how you make the car look like it is 3d. Thanks again!!
Loved the car! Looks pretty handsome out there in the desert.
I absolutely loved this one ❤
Another great tutorial! I love languages and the saguaro desert also so thank you 🎨 Have fun on your working holiday - you and your tutorials will be missed!
You're a really good teacher.
You explaine it
you show it
you show how to do it.
And allways in a very good mood.
🙂
Have you ever painted sciFi, fantasy, steam punk or something the like ?
I really enjoyed this, I love old cars. Can't wait to try this, when my eyes are fixed. lol Thank you I hope you have fun on your trip.
毎回素晴らし絵をありがとうございます。いつも楽しみにして拝見させて頂いております。
Hi Paul, Thank you for an amazing painting can't wait to get started! I've never realized the different words we all use for the same thing and that's for just parts of a car. Hope you Margot everyone will have a great time In Ibiza.
I almost go into a trance watching you paint. I always thought it would be fun to have an antique car. Thank you and have a fabulous working vacation.
Thanks Paul for your tutorials
You are a great teacher❤
Awesome. I can't believe you're doing a tutorial on this. I just got done painting an old Ford jalopy, in the desert of Bodie California, US. Quite similar to this. I had painted your lovely rusty tractor, because I live in Iowa and learned so much, I tried an old Ford. It's fun to see what you're doing, and what I did, so that I can improve next time. I didn't do too bad though. I learned a lot from the tractor and this one taught me even more! I love it. Thank you!!
Had so much fun painting this! Thank you!
oh I forgot to say..those rocks and boulders are just the best!!
Wow!!! I love it! I will certainly try this one. Thank you so much!
These tighter, more detailed paintings are my favorite! Beautiful! Thank you so much!
I love watching you paint!
Wow the detail is beautiful and so is the song.
Agree with J below. Easily the best artist on You Tube. Pity youre not on terrestial TV Im sure you would have good viewing figures. You have a gift of putting it across really well. Keepem coming Paul. Cheers.
Especially enjoyed learning all the color mixing for the tones you achieved.
Have a nice trip in Ibiza😊❤ Beautiful cactus and rocks and car and everything 😊
I am so excited to paint this beautiful rusty old car. What a great tutorial. Thank you so very much.
Totally random question Paul- do you wear your theme T shirts when you teach live art classes and a follow up question- what do you do with all those T shirts?!!! Lovely painting. I can spot a Paul Clark painting a mile away with your distinctive style! Lovely!
Absolutely amazing! I think I've found my new watercolour passion - painting rusty old cars 😍 Thanks for a great tutorial! 🎨🖌
Mr. Clark I think your paintings are wonderful sir. They inspire to keep a with my artwork thank you so much God bless you.
Really enjoyed this painting! Wednesday morning is my favorite time and I will miss you and your sessions for the next few weeks. Hope you and Margo have a wonderful 'painting' vacation!
You are great there no words to say thanks
Loving your work, and all the other contributions ❤
I don’t do watercolor but this is the best I’ve seen. I love it. For sure made me want to try it.
WOW, I’m so impressed !! 🥰 Love the painting, and it seems so fun to paint with all that variety of techniques. 👏 I hope you and Margot have such splendid days in Ibiza! oooh.. if only i could!
(What a coincidence that I haven't painted since last summer, and just today I painted a picture of Ibiza with wonderful facades and a Vespa motorbike!) 🪴🛵
THANKS! 🤗
Love your work and the music and female singer are great!
Love the older vehicles. Maybe an old Chevy truck next time. Thanks. Barbara
I follow everyday. Helps, and relaxing.
Marvellous, marvellous, marvellous..................................... painting
All of the good stuff already mentioned and nothing to add to that so only my deepest gratitude for sharing remains. Have a wonderful time in `ibiza.
Surprised to hear you say that you hadn't painted a saguaro cactus before--have you beat on that since I live in the desert. Loved watching you paint this old rusty car and watching how you add the colors, let them bleed to create the textures of rust. I appreciated the close up of the plastic card technique of creating rocks. I found out that I was scraping rather than pressing down to move the paint. This creates the craggy type rocks that I have had trouble with. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge--have learned so much!
Wonderful idea thank you so much, I did not know I could paint such a nice picture... but I did it !!
You are welcome 😊
Wonderful painting and wonderful Song!!!❤
WOW 🤩 this really came out Incredible ❤🌹🙏
I enjoyed that video so much! I bet if you uploaded a 4 hour video I’d get nothing done because I’d sit here and watch it til the end! You show us all how to create details in so many different ways. I love the scrapping technique with the card. I also love the highlight technique. The splatter technique. This video has it all! Loved the music too. I’m also a fan of language and find it interesting how different parts of the world call things. Even in the US we have a lot of different ways of calling things. Roundabout, or traffic circle. Freeway or highway. Not just cars but for soda. Or pop. Carts or buggys.
I will be sad if there’s no video next week. 😭😭😭 But I understand your schedule is better spent for in person events. I keep looking to see if you’ve planned a trip to the US. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I for sure will be in that class if you do. 🎨🖌🖼 Have a blessed day and thank you for all you do.
Bravo Maestro!
Cool! And great music selection too!
This is one of my favorites…I live in Arizona and this speaks to me!
This Is great, i started asome time ago a rusti car but didn't know how to make some textures, now i look your video i have to finish that work.
Thank you for your lessons!
I'm a great admirer of your paintings.
I just love this! Thank you for the tip on using the card! Rock on with yer bad self!
Looks good enough for a restoration
Beautiful painting thank you for sharing
There is always something evocative about old, abandoned cars. A car is arguably the ultimate symbol of modern civilization. There was an American novel written in the 1940s called "Earth Abides". It was set after a pandemic had killed most of humanity. Twenty years into the aftermath, children of the survivors are using abandoned cars as playhouses. There was also a 1980s children's book written and beautifully illustrated by Graham Oakley called "Henry's Quest", which was set in a future society that had regressed to medieval standards. Henry is a young man who goes on a mission to find a mysterious substance called "petrol". Ancient machinery can be seen all over the place, half-buried in shrubbery. Some words for an unreliable car that always breaks down are: bomb, lemon, clunker.
Love your videos and your sense of humor!
Perfect timing!! I've been going over and over in my mind how to paint a rusty old car for a dear friend for Christmas and this is perfect thank you so so much!
Glad I could help!
Hi Paul, loved this one, hope it is the start of a series…. Your comment about saving the best bit ‘til last rang true, exactly what I do. But my grandad who was a volunteer fireman, had the opposite philosophy - he always ate his best bit first in case he was called out and had to leave his dinner, missing the best bit entirely.
Thank you for such a great channel, our whole family enjoy it, and my daughters who are would be artists, have learned a great deal, the eldest one has seen improved art grades at school since we have started watching, evidence that you are a brilliant teacher.
Thank you! Really loved watching you paint this lovely scene reminiscent of California's southwest desert. Enjoy your teaching holiday in Spain.
Great painting 🚘🌵🤎💙🎨👋
J avais beaucoup aimé le vieux tracteur bleu et là j adore cette vieille voiture . Merci Paul . Je me régale avec vos vidéos et j attend le mercredi avec impatience 😊
A beautiful painting! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. Kathy Toronto, Ontario
Thank you - to you, Margot and the FaceBook group for another inspiring WaterColor Wednesday!! Love the rust colors and how the car emerges The cacti are extra special to see! If you can ever do a canyon scene with cacti in the Arizona desert that would be wonderful!! Enjoy your travels!! :0) Janell
Amazing painting!
Bangladesh has some spectacular places to draw
You can draw one of them
