    In this video I show you some of the things I've been looking out for when chopping samples that have heavy vocals in them. For this one I'm on the SP404-MK2 but I'm sure you will be able to follow along no matter what sampler you use. I hope you find the tips and tricks useful!

    I use Traktor for auditing chops. It is made to loop. Then, the isolated loop is sampled in the SP. Bought a second-hand S8 controller for it. Gonna pick it up tomorrow. Nice video BTW.

    Hey bruv thanks for the upload.
    Would it be possible for you to upload a tutorial on how you make your drums more punchy and quality sounding? I notice your drums in these videos are sounding way better than the raw versions on your packs.
    I would be very grateful if you would consider this. Im stuck haha

      Check out this video bro. I’m sure it will help! A lot of it is also choosing the right drum sounds and getting the levels right which will come with practice. czcams.com/video/JARKXo3ULC4/video.html

    Tha question is if we can do some more advanced sampling on sp404. This kind of sampling/ choping is very typical and easy to do and i think you can get bored very easly also. From time to time we need to do more

    Very useful and very cool tips, thanks bro! Do you usually get a specific part of a song and divide it from 1 to 16? And do they normaly have the same length on each pad, so you get 1 bar = 4 pads? Sorry for the silly questions and thanks again for all the useful content! 🙏🏻

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  Před 8 měsíci +1

      yes - 4 bars chopped into 16 so 16 equal chops 👍

    Bought your Screensaver pack recently, pretty sweet! Question for anyone...is it just me or did Roland take the piss with the Limited Edition Stonesthrow mk2? I bought mine new 3 weeks ago $449 Amazon on sale, and they want $1000 for a custom faceplate 1 vinyl, 1 mixture and STONES THROW sound pack. 🤔

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  Před 8 měsíci

      Appreciate you picking that up! Yeah I really don’t get/like the release. It feels similar to when they did the A after the sx.

    What did you originally chop up the sample with?

  • @nothingchewie

    What’s the sample?

  • @michaldzekson
    @michaldzekson Před 8 měsíci

    So you record sample, then set your start point, play sample and rhythmic count 4 times 4, discard unwanted sound and this give you 16 chops? I struggle with this, I don’t know what I don’t understand 😢

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  Před 8 měsíci

      Sample exactly 4 bars of a track, chop it using the auto chop feature and choose 16, then you will get 16 equal chops over 16 pads
