    I have this tent and cannot do it by myself. With the help of my son, we can do it in ten minutes after multiple tries in the back yard. I love the tent and I love that if you drive off, it’s a self contained unit

    Good point about the door location. Different manufacturers decide to place the door for SUV tents on any of the three available sides and your preference will limit the tents available to you. Since the NAPIER Backroads tent is designed with large screened windows, they could have easily designed it with a full door on the passenger's and driver's side of the vehicle for campsite flexibility. I only know of one manufacturer that has provided two full doors.

    We are devising a make shift "lift gate " to go between our 6x8 Venturist and our Napier Backwoods tent out of large pool noodles with pvc connectors. It will just be pressure fitted between the camper and the tent. Like you, we are worried about rain running down the camper and also rain build up on the tunnel connector.

    We used to have the Napier truck tent with the ground addition and we just loved it!! It sure opens up your space... We have the same problem when we sit down! LOL Great review for a great tent! ;-) 💙Terry and Terri

    Gazelle makes a gazebo tent that assembles in 90 seconds. The are nice you should check them out.

    Howdy, thanks for the video and review. I bought my Runaway camper with a rear door for this exact reason: to add a tent like this. Will you please send the model number of the tent. I want to make sure the door opening is on the passenger side, I don’t want to walk into a shore power outlet or water spigot.
    Keep
    The great videos coming.

    I have an SUV tent, but I don’t have a back door to my CoolCamp. So, I’m contemplating attaching it to the one and only side door. Obviously, I haven’t done it yet, but I’d like it to be my front entry if I’m camping in one place for more than a few days. I still have to figure out how to secure it.

      If you figure that out, everyone will want to see what that looks like. So many have no back door but want to add a room. Yes,that would be great! Good luck and Happy Camping!

      @@myshoeboxadventures Good idea. When I head to the Everglades next month, I’m hoping to have it figured out, and I’ll maybe post it if I do. Otherwise, just secure it to the back of my Hond CRV, which could be backed up strategically close enough to use it as my camper entry.

    I am a wanna be single camper and own this tent. Do you think it would be easier if the hatch cover was I stalled first, then wrestle with long tent poles?

    • @myshoeboxadventures
      @myshoeboxadventures  Před rokem +1

      Great Idea,have you tried this? Also I think if secured a corner with a steak then the pole would be easier to deal with. We will see.

    Thank you for the video ! Do you happen to know what model 'number' your particular Napier Backroadz tent is ? Like 19100, 19200, etc. As you stated, Napier makes several of these... Thanks again !!

    • @myshoeboxadventures
      @myshoeboxadventures  Před rokem +2

      Gerard, thanks for watching! Each Napier tent has a different name. The Backroadz is the one I’ve got . The Sportz is the blue one with the door on the other side. Hope that helps. Happy Camping!
