  • Camping will look a little different for us this year as we put our new addition of the Napier Backroadz into our experience. In this video, we will unbox, set up, and give you our honest first impressions. Later in the season will update with a video showing you how we used it and our opinions as to how we believe you can use it,... what we love about it and what we end up not loving. We look forward to the 2022 camping season and hope to see some of you out there!
Here is a link to the model we own:

Seeing this coming from Eric's channel where you said you were from my area.
    I have a 2002 National Seabreeze.
I'm very curious to see if your tenting experience went well. My Gazelle screen tent with panels got totally ruined. I bought it to keep my things out of view and locked up when the motorhome leaves for food, shopping, sightseeing. Winds in other states, especially TX are horrendous!
So how did the tent work out? Thinking of one for my truck with a huge fiberglass cap on it. Love my "Tilly". My tilting Hilton. But can't find a travel partner.🥴😮‍💨

Our Clam is still going strong!! It’s been through RVing, Tent Camping, back yard storms! It’s traveled the east coast. The Gazelle is not as well built as the Quickset by Calm. We love it!! And you have 2002 National Seabreeze!!

The above was about our Clam! Our tent is FANTASTIC! We camped on three beach on Lake Ontario and we had rain and wind in excess of 30-40 mph! The tent has been a champ. The only issue we had was a could of the tent poles cracking, but Napier sent us a new set. We also bought a set to have in hand. Nothing has happened to any of the other ones so we have lots of extras! We love it.

Nice video ! How has the tent held up now that you've used it ? Any issues ? I ask because I'm considering the same SUV tent ! Thanks !

We bought one last summer and used it with our Volvo station wagon. We think it was a big success. Easy to put up, and easy to detach and reattach when we found had to drive into town for supplies. And, as it turned out, we had a huge rainstorm and ours didn't leak a bit (and we'd forgotten to bring the groundsheet). I'm looking forward to using it again in a few months.

We absolutely love ours. Even in a torrential rain storm with 30-40 mph winds this tent has been an absolute champ. We highly recommend it!

"Thank you" for posting your own review comment ... (I have been looking at the Napier SUV tents for almost a month now .... ) Just need to decide on which model / size for my Grand Cherokee ... @@gludwig

@@esousa486 You could still look at the Backroadz SUV Tent. Coincidentally, our car was in the shop last summer and our loaner was a GMC Terrain, and the tent still fit perfectly. Napier designed it with clever strapping systems to make it very adaptable.

I used this tent for the first time a couple of weeks ago. When i closed the hatch, i had to disconnect the strap on the latch. Then the apron fell off the bumper. Hence, raccoons found their way in to the tent from under the van. Any suggestions?

I would suggest that if you need to close your hatch, which we have done, go inside your tent and zip the screen. This is a bit of a pain but it will keep out the critters and the bugs out of your tent. The only time we have closed our hatch was when it was going to be cold. I hope this helps.

The Racoons must have detected FOOD .... Even a used paper plate WILL attract ANY critter !!! @@insearchof76
