Robin looks so British! He has that classic British look.
I love this video and I like you very much
One of the best vibratos to ever live. Splendid choice.
Sorry I did not comment earlier. 😅 Robin has a gorgeous voice, and is very handsome! Also, Robin is my favorite. I'm from Southwest Virginia.
I like you You make me smile. Thank you.
First of May is the song that caused the bee gees to break up for 18 months. Barry wanted First of May to be on the A side and Robin wanted the song he sang (Lamplight) to be on the A side, when Stigwood choose First of May to be on the A side Robin quit the band and they had quite a battle (through newspapers) when they got back together Stigwood made them get back into the studio and they wrote How do you Mend a Broken Heart and Lonely Days on the same day, I think they were the first number ones for the Bee Gees in the US
Robin's voice is just captivating. He put out about 5 or 6 solo albums. I love them!
A like this video and I like you very much
from the French province of Canada,... the town call Quebec city
From England watching Americans react to one of my favourite groups 😀
My favorite also Robin was a favorite he is so missed love them all
. Run to me... is a beautiful beegees song
Love the Bee Gees and all of their songs! Thank you for the reaction.
Yes Tysheen, old people like me have "brain farts" all the time and forget what we're going to say. What's your excuse? :)
The first song I heard by the Bee Gees was in 1968 when I was a teen. It was sung by Robin and it was instant love even before seeing any of the brothers. His power, soulfulness and vibrato are legendary and fans and music critics called him the best white soul voice of his generation. Sadly he got left in the dust a bit in the so called "disco era" as he usually sang ballads but he did some great solo work in the late 70's and 80's. He was also amazing singing songs like "Bodyguard" and "For whom the bell tolls" and was the first brother to have a solo hit "Saved by the Bell". He was also brilliantly funny and extremely intelligent. His brothers called him a genius. The Gibb family always said Robin was Robin, eccentric and unique. All three can do the "falsetto" thing. "Fanny be gentle with my love" shows all three exchanging leads. czcams.com/video/xgDbE6WOyws/video.html and displays their range.
He does have some where he sings lead. Wildflower is a good one. He has a great voice.
Good reaction, Barry, Robin, and Maurice,(pronounced Morris).
A good idea would be, to check out Maurice with his first wife, british singer Lulu, when they sing together 'First Of May' in Lulus lifeshow, must have been in the nineties. Good to find on YT. You'll see, that performance of them both is really overwhelming.
Hello, nice to see you and follow you in your reactions to Bee Gees,
one of my favorite groups
(with ABBA, Beatles, E.L.O., Queen)
This is an abbreviated meddley of two beautiful melodic songs from their early days.
"I've started a joke" is a classic with Robin in the lead voice
"First of May" was the song for which Robin left the group for almost two years (they chose it as a single instead of "Lamplight", which he sang)
"First of May" was also part of the soundtrack of the movie "Melody" (1971)
I want to suggest you for other reactions:
"In the morning" and "Melody fair" (from the same movie)
and the one already mentioned:
"Lamplight"
My best regards for You
Be care and stay safe
Check out the show they did live in Las Vegas . That was their last show together as a trio.
Maurice sings ... hold her in your hand. Wildflower. Walking on air. Closer than close. Man in the middle and many more x
I have written this before but is relevant for this video.
This is infact a very sad video. It is very obvious that Barry and Robin was on the edge here. They do not look at eachother and have no interaction at all.
The reason is infact the song Barry is singing. First Of may was the lead single from their 1969 album Odessa. However there was a dispute between the brothers because Robin wanted the song Lamplight that he was lead on to be the lead single.
In the end their manager choose First of May and Robin said "I've Had It" and left the group.
Luckily for us fans they rejoined in 1970 after 18 months apart and started of the same afternoon they were together by writing 2 hit songs:
How Can You Mend A broken Heart and Lonely days.
I am from south east asia, called singapore.
I absolutely agree that Barry and Andy looks and sound very much alike. Andy loved his big brothers but he idolized Barry and Barry adored Andy. Love BeeGees, they are the best group ever existed. Barry and Andy both stole my heart and my love many years ago ❤️❤️❤️
Maurice had a solo song in 1970 around the breakup of the group called "Hold Her In Your Hand". Great song. Very much Country like.
For me THE voice of The BeeGees.
If you review a Bee Gees song called Man in the middle, you will hear Maurice singing lead.
He has the best voice of the family
maurice gibb man in the middle
Maurice is pronounced like Morris. You will fall in love with all of them eventually. It's inevitable.
Robin comes off as introverted and serious but he's actually hilarious.
Check out "Man in the Middle", " Wildflower" for Maurice. I also love "Lay it on Me". Those are all Maurice led songs. There is a video of Maurice doing "First of May" with his ex wife Lulu. Definitely check that out!
Andy was Barry's mini-me.
Random Jane - Robin's voice and his quick wit are legendary. He was my boy.

Greetings from Cajun Country!
Amazing LIVE vocals, even if Barry’s voice did crack in the beginning!!!!
For Maurice on lead:
ABOVE AND BEYOND
Maurice is lead on closer than close, man in the middle and walking on air.

Brazil
It's pronounced morris even though it looks like Maurice would be pronounced the other way. Thank you for the video!
Oh, Tysheen - Robin! my favorite - such a sweet and beautiful voice! although, any and all of those brothers could hit all the notes - falsetto especially -- and Maurice (pronounced "Morris" by them) -- was way under-rated! thank you for reacting - and I look forward to more from you --
So true! I know someone with same spelling but we call him "Ma-reese" but thank you for correcting me.
👌
checking in from Alaska, great song, great reaction
Please react to THIS IS WHERE I CAME IN by the BEEGEES thanks
I am from Wilmington, North Carolina Yes Andy looked like and sounded like Barry.
New York
Maurice - pronounced Morris. He does have songs that he sings lead on. The demo version of Evening Star is Barry and Maurice on vocals. (I love what Mo's deep voice brings to it). Another song you may not have heard before is Every Second, Every Minute. I love the in concert and the studio versions. Have you heard Mr. Natural?
bee gees just in case
The other 4th brother is andy had pasd away when he is 30s back in the late 70s.
1988
Tuning in from the Pacific Northwest, and I must admit I'm a bigger fan of the 60s-early 70s Bee Gees music. "Words", "How Can Mend a Broken Heart" are two more beautiful songs you'd like.
Maurice sings solo, Philly.
It's pronounced Morris👍
Bee gees maurice Song solo "my thing" "trafalgar", "overnight" "wildflower"
A song where Maurice sings solo is Railroad from 1970.
Man in the Middle is a good song that Maurice does. And he and Robin were actually twins (fraternal).
Maurice pronounced 'Morris'.
hello from Israel🖐
Maurice has never done a solo and his name is pronounced Morris
Their a twin.
Please react to the Bee Gees song Fanny Be Tender with My Love.
Oh yes! The album cut 🎶❤️
Man in the middle.. maurice lead
Regarding Andy and his similarities in voice and appearance to Barry....
Please react to Bee Gees WORDS, which is Barry’s signature solo spotlight song at concerts. I would recommend the 1989 live version, and be sure you don’t cut him off at the end... you’ll know he’s finished when he takes a deep bow and you see the top of his head.
Then react to this performance of WORDS by ANDY, who happens to have a rarely seen beard:
czcams.com/video/wgnclrdG5P0/video.html
Just to let you know they are 2 separate songs. Try Spicks and Specks
Heard that 'I started a joke ' was about Adolph Hitler. Don't know if that's so. Could have been Lucifer, I Guess.
Maurice does sing lead vocals at times. Her's one czcams.com/video/RCBrw_qFcAo/video.html
Maurice's name is actually pronounced Morris. They just spell it differently in the UK
Maurice is pronounced morris
Stop talking he’s saying sorry to someone, RIP ROBIN, pat mason,England
Good luck with the channel👍but I am not a fan of all the pauses, it kills my mood when I try to connect
Is all my song requests getting blocked
Pronounced Morris
Thank you
