    I’m so surprised by the negative comments.. I test drove the petrol four wheel 2019 yesterday and was very impressed with the the drive!! My goodness! Compared to the Mazda CX-5 it is Stunning to drive. Maybe this basic model and diesel really make a huge difference to the feel of the car. I loved the one I tried yesterday! Turning circle was incredible and the ease and light feel of the wheel was bliss.
    There you go... really do need to test drive to see for oneself.

    • @benrgrogan
      @benrgrogan Před 6 lety

      Arturo Vidal Sometimes a suspension that Is too soft will make the car feel boaty making it extra bouncy on potholed roads, and figgerty (unstable) which doesn't inspire driver confidence; particularly when traveling on the motorway or fast country lanes.
      Soft suspension can particularly be a problem for SUV's, as their raised ride height makes them more likely to have large amounts of body roll in the corners.

    Few things she missed, the car also has additional storage on the actual dashboard. It also does have extra hidden compartments. And if you also are trying to pull the seats back you don’t necessarily have the inconvenience of the pull handle if things are stored in the boot. You can actually use the almost second lever on her left. Atleast make the video well informed and be accurate about car features. Can tell she hasn’t analysed the car. But overall some DECENT points made.

    How can a Skoda Kodiaq be larger inside, it's the same floorplan and body shell? Just the outer panels are different.

    • @diulikadikaday
      @diulikadikaday Před 5 lety

      I have adjusted the seats in both the kodiaq and the allspace and you can sit much more comfortably. One reason is that the back seats in the Kodiaq are lower and you have more head room in the back seat.

    The SUV apocalypse as I affectionately call it, is gradually pushing me more and more towards my first love of cycling. Ebikes are the actual future of urban and suburban transport. And the sooner we all realise that, the better off we’ll all be.
    Ginny, the fact that you said this car will spend the majority of it’s time around town is the saddest thing of all. How have we gotten to this ridiculous point?

    • @albinnygren2367
      @albinnygren2367 Před 6 lety +1

      Because people are more superficial than ever, and believe that an SUV will suit them and their perceived image. Everyone why drives one of these things has a contrived reason for why they "need" it. They're in need of a bigger car than the rest of the hoi polloi because they're such outdoorsy people, or because they're such sensible pragmatists who realise that you need AWD come winter time. It's really no different to the iPad craze a few years ago, when everybody "needed" an iPad. It's a status symbol for idiots is what it is.

    • @christill
      @christill Před 6 lety +1

      Albin Nygren as someone who’s used an iPad Air as my main ‘computer’ for the last 4 or 5 years, I can’t entirely get behind your analogy but I take your point. There are some people that actually do need a 4x4 for off-roading. And then there those who buy a raised hatchback because they’re being fed the BS that they need one everywhere they look.

      @OscarLeeMX Před 6 lety

      It doesn't seem to have excessive body roll though.. I think all non-sports car manufacturers should aspire to set up their cars to ride as well as the E-Class.

    • @benrgrogan
      @benrgrogan Před 6 lety

      @@OscarLeeMX I was just giving possible problems of soft suspension, I've never driven a Tiguan so couldn't give it's specific problem. I just Looked at a WhatCar review (it was the first review that came up) They said body control was pretty good for an SUV but that it became unsettled on potholed roads which appears to be what Ginny is complaining about too . I agree more manufacturers should aim for comfort focused setups although you should remember Mercedes use more sophisticated and costly, springs and dampers etc to deliver their improved ride.

    Surely there’s nobody seriously thinking of buying one of these over a Kodiaq?
    Tiguan has always been a disappointment. Had a look at one in a dealership, pretty sure the boot was the same size as the Golf. That’s an awful lot of money to be 8ins higher. And now they want an extra £3k to get a car the size it should’ve been to start with!
    Still, they sell loads, they know what they’re doing.

    VolksWegon complains
    As a customer and owner of Tiguan 2.0 TSI (CBU). Volkswagen a very much well recognised brand globally, here I would like to declare my unsatisfaction of the quality of your vehicle parts and specialisation. I have gone through this endless nightmare for the past 4 years and regret buying a car from Volkswagen. For all the complaints I have made, there were only temporary solutions. The authorised dealers are all keenly busy to sell the parts but do not rectify the real problem faced. 4 years I have been complaining about engine check lights popping up, reverse camera error, Bluetooth error, engine ignition issues, noises from engine, start-up trouble and many more. Volkswagen authorised dealer is only busy changing the parts 1 by 1 and no permanent solution to my problems. Many parts and sensors have been changed again lately, but eventually after a consultation, it's an "Instrument Cluster" fault as a gateway to most of the electronic function which is causing trouble as a silent killer from the day one of my complaints. My Tiguan is well maintained according to the book of service. To my understanding and fellow Volkswagen users globally this is not a common issue and Volkswagen must take the full responsibility for this " Meter " instruments cluster malfunction as this is based on a manufacturing default. It has cost me a lot of my time and hard earned money which has been wasted at your authorised service centre. Compared to the maintenance cost of many other cars, yes, a Volkswagen car is expensive to maintain. This is mainly due to the expensive German parts of the car and due to the high quality fit and finish the car provides. However that does not mean the customer should be left high and dry with a defective product. I feel like I spend more time at your service centre than I do at work or at home. I'm at my wit's end everytime my vehicle is back to the dealership for repairs required because of the malfunction. Very disappointed ☹️
