Baltimore Blizzard Time Lapse!!! 3 feet of snow forecast in weekend storm

- The National Weather Service is forecasting two feet of snow across the Baltimore region this weekend in what forecasters said could be one of the five biggest winter storms on record here.
A blizzard watch is in effect with more than a foot of snow likely to fall starting late Friday, though meteorologists are still working out the details of the forecast.
A blizzard watch is in effect across the region from Friday afternoon through Saturday night, with heavy snow and blustery winds.
"We’re calling for a top 10 storm and possibly top 5 storm," Bryan Jackson, a meteorologist at the weather service's Baltimore/Washington forecast office said.
Forecasts call for 18 inches to 22 inches for Baltimore City, Howard, Harford and Anne Arundel counties and the southern halves of Baltimore and Carroll counties.
Early hour-by-hour snowfall forecasts from the weather service suggest nearly 10 inches by daybreak Saturday and then another foot by nightfall.
A major storm is expected to hit the Mid-Atlantic and Northest starting Friday, with predicted heavy snowfall, that will probably mess with the Baltimore area.
At least 18 inches of snow from the storm would crack Baltimore's top 10 biggest snowfalls within a three-day period.
Forecasters expect chilly conditions, with lows in the 20s and highs right around the freezing mark Friday and Saturday. Blustery conditions are also expected both days.
Some weather watchers were already making calls for accumulations Wednesday morning.
Former TV meteorologist Justin Berk is calling for at least 10 inches along I-95 and to its south and east, and 16 or more inches to the north and west. He expects the heaviest snow, 20 or more inches, over Frederick County and points west.
Snow survival guide
AccuWeather.com is predicting a broad 12 to 24 inches across Central Maryland and to the southwest, along the mountains down the Interstate 81 corridor. Some areas could see up to 3 feet, meteorologists warned.
"Crews may not be able to keep up with the storm in portions of Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Henry Margusity said in a post on the website. "Some communities could be isolated for a few days."
WJZ-TV meteorologists predict the snow bullseye to end up just west of Washington, D.C., but also stretching into parts of Anne Arundel and Howard counties, with more than 2 feet of snow there. For the rest of the Baltimore area, including the city and Carroll, Baltimore and Harford counties, they are calling for 1-2 feet, with 6 inches to a foot on the lower Eastern Shore.
Thanks for watching!!!

Now that's funny
@@theodoreroosevelt4260 Get a girlfriend then you'll definitely know. Excuse me, let me be politically correct, get married and you'll definitely know.
I love how everyone is working together great video
Exactly
Right
Bunnyfufu 757 oh yeah its so important also
Hi how're u Bunny
I was just about to say that ...here in 757, we get none of that... back home? Oh yea, Its a team effort!! ... '19 btw...'17 was terrible here in Norfolk lol
It was nice to see how alot of the community got together to shovel the snow? A lot of the time people dont communicate with eachother, but in times like this we come together!
I’m sure if you live there and have to deal with this a lot it’s gets really annoying but for someone who has never experienced snow before this looks like heaps of fun!
Sum it up for you first few times of the season sure it’s cool every time after that it’s cold miserable and makes life 15x harder
This storm happened when I was 7 and I couldn’t fall asleep because I was so excited I woke up and tried to build tunnels under the snow lol
Fr
snow it basically mother nature saying " here is rain, except it cold, and will stick to everything, and make you life miserable, ENJOY!'
Not really, my first time experiencing snow, I was speechless. For a second I thought about going back to the plane and back to africa . The cold was not something I experienced before. I had my jeans and a jacket which could help greatly with the Africa's cold. Here it didn't really make any difference I was feeling it in the bones.
First time ever experiencing anything like this. It was honestly frustrating. I'm used to 80 to 110 temperatures. Yeah so, not everyone is excited
This is the coolest video ever. This is how it was this past weekend in Michigan. No school till Wed. I dug myself out Tues. Now this evening it started again. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. It's winter.
It never snows were I'm from... I wish it did tho😩
kat Where are you from?
I live in Michigan too and Only 20 mins from the lakes so weee i never have school in the wintersss
I live in Wisconsin we just got about 2 feet of snow last night
lmao I live in Michigan as well, I hasn't snowed like this in awhile
I remember this happening! I got 2 1/2 feet of snow, and had no school for a week. Eventually, it got quite warm 3 days after the blizzard (like 65 degrees, also sunny) and people were literally shoveling in shorts.
What, only a week!? school closes with just a few cm of snow here in the UK
@@alinaqirizvi1441 that’s the difference between getting these regularly and being prepared Vs us in the UK who are in a state of panic when snow is a couple of cm cause we never get that much here (in the south anyways)

One of the few times it pays to live by the main road. Well done TL.
Well what I've learned from this....you got the crazy dude going out in this this weather, the one guy who clears his car during the storm and the hermits who says screw it and waits it out for 3 days.
Add me to the group of hermits who says screw it, and then proceeds to get drunk.
What I found funny is them clearing their cars was totally pointless. I'm sitting here like even if they clear the car they cannot get through the parking lot.
I suppose you could do it so it's easier to get out when it does get cleared.
@@seemlesslies it's so you don't have a bunch of ice on your car when you're ready to go.
@@KevB247 But with last Friday's snow I wish I could have left it on the car because it would have made the freezing rain that followed easier to remove.
@@seemlesslies no, it's so the snow doesnt turn to ice and then after 3 daysbesides shoveling for snow you gotta un ice your car
Ok...that was EXTREMELY cool starting at 6:15 when the moon appeared.
The most important thing I learned from this video is to avoid living in a complex such as this.
I live in Baltimore and when ever it snows I park directly off a major road with a downward slope then walk 15 minutes home. A 15 minute walk is better than 60 minutes of shoveling.
nah living in a complex like this is fine as long as you got a reliable snow removal company nearby here in Ottawa as soon as the tiniest bit of snows starts falling theres a ton of trucks and really big snow blowers that starts removing it and then they spread liquide salt to melt the extra incoming snow and when its too cold for salt to melt snow (below -32 C) they come back every 15 to 20 minutes until the storm stops and they spread gravel or sand since its too cold for salt to work it makes the ground less slippery
Here in Norway, many people have petrol-driven snowmowers. Makes the job a lot easier
They are not bad it’s the staff or the owner hired someone
@@SchweinungHD As an Aussie. The idea of a snowmower is hilarious. This is what I first imagined czcams.com/video/Ul1dQRNdKMw/video.html
Love the music it’s so soothing ☺️
S&P The Gift
It doesn’t matter where you’re at.. it’s a beautiful would we have. Watching that moon set with the sun rising behind the complex was good for me.
We have a murder happening likely happening behind that complex as well
I remember this storm, I had to go to work and got stuck in a ditch on my way home. The clean up from the storm was just overwhelming. There was no where to put all the snow. My brother had just started a landscaping company the previous year and this was the first snow storm that he got to plow haha.
I love this time lapse. For some reason I always feel better after watching this particular snow storm. You can slow it down and the details become clearer.
Watching the moon was exciting as well
wow, the plow truck said screw it and left! LMAO
Three days and the most they get for snow removal is a single path through the parking lot! (and that is AFTER 3 days!) I sure hope they got a rebate for their rent!
@@kitiowa well atleast you have a good reason you're not showing up to work
@@help3102 That would not be an excuse in Iowa!
Yeah that happens all the time in Md. Was snowed in in our neighborhood for 4 days once.Ended up gang shoveling with all the neighbors
@@kitiowa yes it would.
Wow that was relaxing. When I saw that moon the 1st time a shiver ran down my back...brrrrrrr that has to be freezing cold! Beautiful night scenery. Thanks
Who is watching this in the summer just to feel a bit cooler?
I live in Belgium, I watch this and I pray to have a little bit of snow this winter... But I know it's gonna be a deception, like every winter. Snowstorms doesn't exists here...
i think everyone buddy
ME!!!! Watching from Arizona 😱
Carla R - But summers pretty much over, LOL! Temps here in the low 80’s.

Yeah, that was a pretty neat storm, love snow. Couldn't go to work for 3 days because buses weren't running. Loved that too lol.
I saw it all the way. I loved it all the way.
I’ve watched this over and over again and I still love it.
Music selection is on point 👌🏻
What an enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing video! I remember this storm, too. I live about 15 min southwest of B-more and that snow event was the most snow I'd ever witnessed in person. I'm not from MD and my hometown in southeastern VA hardly ever got big snows. Why would people dislike this video? O.o
Came for the thumbnail.
Stayed for the music.
When I type, it sounds like Batman.
The full moon was so cool at 6:15
this is one of the fantastic videos on youtube. loved it

Mesmerised from start to finish.
I wish we had snow like this my only wish
Ranyia Al-Shabeeb, same... if doesn’t snow much in England

About 10 years ago I lived in a similar complex, but I was parked underground. There was 2 feet of snow and no one was moving. I asked when would the lot be cleared so I could get out and the manager said "Not for at least another 24 hours". I said "Oh", then walked back to my car and got the snow shovel from out of my trunk (in the winter I keep a full-sized snow shovel in the trunk of my Corolla, plus have winter tires on the car). I shoveled a 6 foot-wide path through the 24" of snow up the ramp, and then turned right to go another 6 car-lengths to get to the road, which had been partially plowed. Only took me about 30 minutes to do all of that shoveling and it also allowed everyone else underground to get out of the underground parking also. It wasn't until 48 hours later that two guys with two snowblowers were called in to clear the rest of the above-ground parking lots at that apartment. If you want something done right, you do it yourself, you don't wait for others to arrive.
This is the best blizzard time lapse. The music is great! Keep up the good work.
I really enjoyed seeing that! Wouldn't want to live through it, though!
A good snow is worth it
Here in Siberia Tomsk this show we seen every year.

Fun to watch. Thanks.
I remember that storm. I live in Northern VA. We got 3ft as well. I hope we get another blizzard soon :).
That guy scraped off his car and then put the snow back on it
whitter86 yes
whitter86. Maybe it wasn't his car and put the snow back on.
Yeah what the hell is that about?!?!?!
whitter86 saw same thing, looked like he put a white blanket back on it
Exactly
I use to miss living up north, and having snow. Always thought it was peaceful and beautiful in the northern woods of Wisconsin. Watching this now I can say I don’t miss it as much as I thought. Florida winters are a tad warmer.
Thank you - What a great video ! Well done !
Beautiful timelapse 😍
This is when you need food, booze, fire wood, candles, and someone to keep you warm.
Great video. I want snow like that this year 2019/2020. So glad I now have a garage and don't have to clean off my car like that.
Great video! Dude next to ram was too optimistic while cleaning the snow in the middle of snowstorm... and after that he got a huge bank of snow!
BAU yep !
man this looks like so much fun. love snow so so much but we rarely ever have it, and when we do it's gone within a few minutes. a weekend with that much snow would be so cool to witness and shovelling your car free must be so much fun together (as a one time event at least)
Remember this like it was yesterday. In Abingdon, we needed a front end loader to clear the snow as the plow couldn't do it.
I love seeing people work together
Wow. Beautiful, so peaceful and beautiful. I love winter.
Freaking awesome!! Nothing is more important than the nature itself!!
Incredible World GOD ALMIGHTY is not only the creator of nature , but most important ! The work of his hands is spectacular and amazing !
I miss the snow in England. Not had any this winter so far and non forecast! not like when I was a child, it snowed each year.
thanks for your upload.
Oh No Quo Nexus, it doesn’t snow much in England 😭😭
Sakster Rose didn't oh see it last week, I was snowedin e.e
I have not seen 12 inches of snow in England since December 2010.
@Andrew Theberg UK is kept warm by the gulf stream during the winter months. Without it the UK would have a climate like Moscow's in Winter.
Music choice was exceptional!
Wow the plows took long enough. In Connecticut they come periodically during storms to prevent roads from getting bad. I remember a weekend storm years ago where we got like 40 inches of snow and we were ready to go again by Monday. It took like a week here.
Awesome music to go along with it !
Looks like a typical winter day in Canada!
Ha like a few weeks ago in Alberta just got destroyed with snow
Is it a competition? like duh canada would get more snow
Thanks alot ... its a nice video👌
This is one of the coolest videos I've seen in a long time.
stunning!

Good video for meditation. 😇 👍
Snowplow took forever to show up and didn't even finish the job lol ... where I live they'd have plows going during and after the snow was done
fantastic watching snow fall in the warm of your home, nice piece of music too.
I'm in my 50's and live in the UK..I've never seen snow that deep over. We use to have about 3 or 4 foot once or twice in the 1960's..but that was it. Were I live the last time we had 6 inches of snow was about 10 years ago. If we had snow like this the Country would come to a standstill.
Agreed. We get couple inches an its pure panic.. Travel is a nightmare....
Wish we could get snow like this again here in Baltimore
Beautiful video👍
Got to love a snow day, great time lapse 👍
Sad that we don't seem to get storms like this anymore in this area. Hard to get excited about occasional flurries.
Ikr all I want is another 3 feet and have a massive fucking war with igloos and buckets of snow again with 9 days off from school
For such a large complex, it’s surprising they didn’t plow sooner.
Amazing. I couldn't stop watching!!
No idea how I wound up here, but glad I did! Awesome video. I used to live in Owings Mills and remember that storm. I like snow, but that was ridiculous - LOL!
Must be a nightmare living in them flats....no one ever leaves their parking spot !

Wow that is a lot of snow. I almost wish I could experience that in Detroit. I suppose for some it is not fun
awesome, i like this
Looking at this while I'm high af and it's the best video ever the sky in time lapse is so beautiful
Brilliant vid. And great sound track
Cool music.
Looks like some of these people didn't go to work for days as a result. When I lived in the Northeast, my apartment building complex was similar to this. Basically they would plough the driveway, and you'd have to dig your car out yourself. We all had shovels either in our trunk or at home as a result. But imagine having to move all that snow by yourself if you aren't young or healthy. That's why so many people die of heart attacks shoveling snow every winter.
Hope they had money saved up
That happened about 7 weeks after moving from a single family home in Glen Burnie to a condo in Pasadena. I didn't have to shovel anything but the snow on my truck and my wife's car. They had the streets passable by early Sunday.
For some reason I love this video
The sad part was I was out of state for the blizzard and im a maryland native
breath taking
Very cool video, watched whole thing
Love the lights ❤
