Nice spinning reals for 100 bucks or so are a steal today. In the 90s you had to pay 200 plus for half the reel.

I have these rockaway reels except the 8k , the RA6000 for my '9 and 10' , RA8000 for the '11 and RBF-8000 Rockaway Baitfeeder for the '12 rockaway rods, but it's does not have salt water proof seals like most daiwa and shimano surf reels and penn slammers reels can be dunk in salt water, these Okuma Rockaway rods are highly flexible and can whip out baits like a catapult!

Nah, people are eager to be on camera. When people know I'm filming they come over to talk and stuff lmao. When I'm trying to land a fish, everyone comes over to try to get it for me, probably to be in camera.

Man I need to see a casting distance comparison with the 8k and some other reels.... I have one and I feel I do not do it justice in casting far.
Big thing is practice, another thing is making sure you got the right bait/weight combos for your rod as well, say youre using a 4 oz-6oz rated rod, and youre only casting 2 oz of weight then you arent getting the most out of your rod either cuz your rod isnt going to flex and launch that weight as far. Could be wrong but thats kinda what i noticed with me.
I've learned a lot watching your videos please keep em coming! From one of your tip videos I just purchased a saragosa, it's a 14000, did I buy too big for what I'm doing and what does that number REALLY mean.? Haven't found a "definitive" answer. It's a super nice reel though can't wait to use it
Glad my vids helped! 14000 gosa is huge! I have an 8k and have landed decent sized fish with it. I'm sure toy can beach some nice sharks with that big of a reel.

@@whateverdudefishin just spool it up with a bunch of 65lb braid. You would be able to land anything within a 150 yard range. You can also spool ot up with 50lb if you want extra capacity.

what hook size do you use for red drum?
I believe he uses 7/0 or 8/0 circle hooks. Thats what most people use
Depending on what brand you use some brands hooks run very small.. i love size 7/0 Daiichi circle hooks.. you can buy at Walmart for a good price of $5 for 9 hooks

Yea its not easy. Best thing you can do is try to get to a pier. head to the end, and get a mullet head and just wait. You'll get skunked most of the time but whenever you do get on, its worth it
