You broke my heart when threw back that delicious tasting Black Sea Bass!
black sea bass are amazing
😆 🤣 😂
I’m learning a lot watching your videos , thank you !
Great vid ! As a native of northern MN, I grew up fishing and find it fascinating that in the ocean you can put a line down and never really know what's comin back up on the other end. Hearing that drag.......ahhhhhh.
Looks like loads of fun. Lots of catching action there. Well done.
I love how little you leave on the fish that you filet. Great job.
You are an inspiration to me! One day, I will visit Montauk and cast out. It’s on my wish lists!
Great content and videos! Just found this channel and I am enjoying the different species of fish being caught.
I love all your videos, Rich! I just love your content bro! From offshore to kayak fishing flats in the Fla keys! Also massive respect for giving Mason a happy birthday shout out! Happy 16th birthday Mason🤙🏻🎂🎊🎁
Learning a lot from your videos. We are freshwater guys just getting into saltwater fishing.
Very cool! Can't wait to get out there with you next week!
Great video, being a native of :Long Island and an avid fisherman it brings back MANY fond memories. I am, now 74 but had the fortune to fish with Frank Mundus several times when I was in my 20's. He was at that time, I believe one of the only captains that made shark fishing a specialty. Both times over several years that I had the opportunity to go out with him we ran into Tuna. The first time I had a hook Pull on a Giant after aprox 20 min. into the fight. We did however have 5 Tuna on the lines and succeeded in landing one of 608 Lbs. As Capt. Mundus remarked, "YOU will probably NEVER see a day like this again". The second time I had the fortune to fish with him, I did land a 604lb Tuna ,as there were very few sharks around, but plenty of tuna. This was in the early 70's. Anyway I enjoy the heck out of your Videos, KEEP it up and GOOD LIUCK !
Frank mundes was my great grand father do you remember his daughter Susan
Damn that’s awesome!!
The other one was Rollie Clark on the Wahoo. My college house mate, Bob Duffy, used to mate for him back in 1968 when I worked that summer as a bartender at Gosmans. Married my sweetheart who waitressed there and she still has two brothers who live in Montauk, one is the nr. 1 charter boat captain there at Tumas dock and the other has his own commercial boat
Enjoyed the fish show.
Remarkable, gulp introduced softbait/ soft plastics fishing here in New Zealand in 2007, but we use way lighter gear. I use a Berkley 8 to 15lb rod, a Daiwa certate 3000 reel loaded with 200 yards of 15lb braid, with 7 feet of 20lb fluorocarbon. In water up to 100 feet we use 3/8, 1/2oz jigheads, but we cast ahead of the drift with 5 inch jerkshads
We catch plenty of " snapper" like your red drum to 20lb plus. It's great fun, but the key is casting 120 feet ahead of the drift using a sea anchor
cant beat that fishing and calm seas
I am admiring your new boat. Very cool.
This was actually a fun fishing video to watch
Great content being the South Florida kid growing up fishing the canals inlets, etc. Appreciate all the videos
This is a really good fishing channel, great action
Ahhhh I love the Montauk Point videos I haven't been up there in years. I'm stuck fishing Maryland and Delware until my kids get older. Beautiful flatties and nice seabass
Yeah it’s rough in the area
@@neal4reel723 in front of the point, he'll yeah it the convergence of different currents and there is a huge drop right in front of it
Well in time hopefully you’ll be able to make the trek 🤙🏻
@@neal4reel723 believe me its not always great fishing here also
Fun video to watch as usual!
know you don't need it with all your gear, giving you the bizness. LOVE your channel!
"all and all a decent outing" for sure Rich! great video as always!
Thanks Tim!! Tight Lines!!
Nice show. First time viewer. Love Montauk, was the place to be in the summer, growing up in Queens. Bought lobster from Gosman's Dock, cousins had a place around the corner. Now I'm "livin the life" in So. FL. Thanks. I will be back.
Great video. I Enjoyed your show. Congrats on those fish!
I enjoy your channel and content, Rich!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Awesome video, nice combos and boat as well.
Wow what a nice cleaning station geez that's great they have that available.
Great video! I remember a old video when a pack of those sea robin would chase up to your feet. It was the first time I ever seen a sea Robin.
Perfect day of fishing!
Im new to the channel, watching older videos. Looks like a great day out on the water, and that boat is pretty awesome
Nice boat 😊
Have fun fishing 🎣
I love when the fish just unhook as soon as you put them in the boat it saves you so much work
Fun video Rich. Happy Birthday Mason!
Love your show sir,am a big fan.Tony, down under,NZ Rock On.
What a nice quality fishing video man!!
That's a really nice boat! great video!
Real nice video! Your boat is the I've seen with wooden floors. 👍
Love the brown accends on your boat my friend!
I’ve been looking for your channel for months and I finally found it! Let’s gooooo!
Ive out lived over 12 poles and reels and 100s of lures. Love go see fishing vids with the youth today. Have fun its all anout Gods grace
Nice, enjoy your videos. I like to see people keep some fish for dinner, nothing wrong with that.
I like how you kept the one side of the fluke one whole fillet.
Man I wish I could go on a trip like that….. a flounder trip is a once in a life time thing for me
You won’t regret it, one of the most fun experiences I’ve had, that and grouper fishing
Come to Florida instead my guy. Copy what rich does and you can get on 30-40 different species (including flounder) from a kayak. No need to pay a guide. Just rent a kayak for your time here and buy some cheap rods to go with your own reels. Don’t need crazy strong tackle, a cheap Walmart 7” inshore rod and a 2500 series reel will get you on nearly everything you can find from a kayak.
Good video 😊, I enjoyed it very much, brings back a lot of great memories of fishing out of Manasquan NJ!! Miss the North East coast 😁!! PS,used to live 20min. South of Green Pond!! Use to sneak in their once in a while 😉, back in the 70's! Lol 😆😂
Killer video as always dude!🤙
Yep. That salmon gulp always works for me as well. I lost a 28 inch fish by the boat on one, but not the gulp’s fault….it was mine. Nice video, keep up the great content!
How do you know it was just 28" (maybe 28.5 or 26...)? I know you are a true fisherman cause you lie so bad, Sir.
@@squirrelgunsmith1131 Give or take 28 haha
Great job man !
Awesome video, and sweet fillet job

I just spent the weekend in Montauk i caught some nice fluke and stripers off the dock on a bucktail and gulp combo
Was looking forward to one of these fluke vids🔥
Love your channel and content Rich! It caters to all of us non-douche bags in the fishing community. Tight lines
What makes you a non-douche bag compared to others?
Only a real douchebag would say this.
Excellent job
awsome boat
I'VE never thought about using gulp bait's to catch FLOUNDER / FLUKE ...here in the U.K. 🇬🇧 we tend to use Worm / crab or fishbaits the U.K 🇬🇧 record is around 5 and a half pound Anyhoos I'm going to give it a try with some GULP BAIT'S in some of the deeper estuary mark's from the shore , Anyhoos buddy a top video and it gets my fishing juices flowing ...top work 🍺😊👍🇺🇸🇬🇧🐟🐟🐟🎣🎣
We being of the desert in Albuquerque will never catch these fishes, please show more of what basses & flukes (all the fishes) look like please. love the fishing!
Good day there young fella. I just found your channel watched your video I am impressed with your fishing ability your editing ability and your verbal content. So I became a subscriber and I’m going to binge on your videos for the rest of the day. You take care and stay safe and God bless you. 🇨🇦
I love your boat ❤
Great video, that boat is built to be a fishing machine. Very nice
You're poisoning me with your great videos ! 😀😀😀
Fluke & Sea Bass, great for the Table!
Great fishing & nice technique
Greeting from Indonesia🇮🇩
Great video as always. Lots of blood when you cut that one fluke. Bleed bucket is your friend and much better meat. Great job with fantastic dinner to follow
Yes. Bonk em, bleed em and eat em
Fluke dont really need to be bled they aren’t fishy at all
I still believe it helps and the proof is there. Bleed one and not the other and look at both filets. Easy to see. But its not terrible
@@briansupermag3918 yup I had one striper I bonked, stabbed in the brain, and bled and one of my friends they just threw it in the cooler to die a slow painful death. Well we cooked up both and the one he left in the cooler was bloody, meat wasn’t white, and tasted minerally. Needless to say I convinced him to do the necessary work of killing them and bleeding them before just throwing them into a cooler
@@undercovabrutha8123 it 100%makes a difference, with all fish, not just "fishy" ones
Wonderful!
Those were some big Black Sea Bass - they are also one of my favorite fish to eat - so delicious 😋 🐟 🍽
Right up there w blackfish …
Muito top essa pescaria! Parabéns brother.

Awesome video I’ve always wanted to do some inshore fishing.
Good stuff man.
Hook and cook is amazing there
Awesome video! It's nice to catch a glimpse of heaven every once in a while. LOL.
Gidday Mate just watched your Video and must say I enjoyed the whole experience I'm a avid Fisherman myself in Cairns on the north east coast of Australia and never new you could catch fish like that in the Newyork area.
I've been to Newyork but next time I'm over I'm coming to the Star island Grill and going to do some local fishing there. Cheers Darryn
Great fishing trips
Awesome videos very informative
Gulp! baits are so awesome! You should keep using them after the tail gets bit off; they still catch!
Beautiful boat. I love the trim and layout.
This is your first video I've watched ... Really interesting and well done! I've never fished Montauk, but have fished our east and now, mainly in the great south bay by Zacks bay to Jones inlet. Surprised you only needed 3 ounces ... And I liked the way you cast and then slowly bring it back. Really seems like it works. Great video! 👍
Well done sir. We call them flounder here n the south. Gotten too-old to fish, but I miss. It.
The bite has been very good. Just got back in.
Wooow Awsome fishing Vid keep grinding 🔥💯💯
Fantastic!
Good stuff man .. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Love your boat.
Thanks!!
Nice that you don't seem to be getting sharked off Montauk. Never fished that area, but hopefully I'll find my way up there soon.
Greetings from socal!!!! Great video

Nice vid. Couple questions. Do you use a thru hull transducer?
What kind of boat?
And how does it handle in rougher seas?
Thanks a bunch.
Awesome
