    Thanks for the informative video you saved me hundred of dollars. Had a power outage today and my Frigidaire electric stove displays went blank but the oven burner worked. After watching your video I went ahead and shut the power off at the electrical panel and waited 5 minutes then turned the power back on. What a relief when I saw the digital panel lite up. Thanks again for the video and saving me money. May you always be blessed for sharing your knowledge with others. Thank you

    I understood everything until you started talking about power issues at the end. Thanks a lot. I'm troubleshooting mine, but there are more issues than just a blank display so wish me luck! Thanks again!

It did blow the breakers and I replaced the temp sensor because the wiring was burnt and now the breakers do not trip. Any help please,, David

    • @BeardedApplianceRepair
      @BeardedApplianceRepair  Před 2 lety

      Okay now. Just off of what you said it sound like there in no problems. Ovens will heat and not heat depending on what temp you set it as. If you oven will heat up in say 10-20 to the pre heat temp there is nothing wrong with the heating part of it.
      To be sure there is an issue do something g called the biscuit test. That is as simple as it sounds. You Cooke some biscuits following the directions to a “T”. If it is too how the biscuits will burn. If it is too cold the biscuits will be doughy in the middle. If you find an issue after that than investigate. If you do not than it can be a number of things why you cook didn’t come out right. Recipe was off, meat was too cold when starting the cook( I find myself cooking stuff longer due to my impatience on the defrost process from The freezer).

      I’m sure it can but I know nothing about how to do any of that. I can solder but that’s only on ex cars. When it comes to the complicated nature of these board I am lost. Replace it with a new one is quicker and makes the customer happy so I’m good with it.

    • @BeardedApplianceRepair
      @BeardedApplianceRepair  Před 3 lety

      Could be a loose connection on the incoming power. I have see that once. One of the wires you have power coming in on look at it and see if it is connected all the way in the connection. If it pops out a little bit that could be it. That or there is something going on internally on the board.

      @BeardedApplianceRepair  Před 3 lety +1

    • @rickeykeeton4770
      @rickeykeeton4770 Před 3 lety

      @@BeardedApplianceRepair yeah, I think is possibly a bad relay or some other component on the board.
      I just removed a push button on/off switch in a GE washer.
      Looks like I am going to have to remove one from a possible hood board, but it will be worth it to me for the experience of desoldering and desoldering s component on a board.
      I did not have any desoldering braid, so I used small braided wire and some flux. This was my first time desoldering anything on a board.
      Hope I did not damage it.
      I have quite a bit more to learn in regards to checking relays and such. If I do much of it, I will get another meter so I can check them while still attached to the board.
      I think they are called ESR meters.
      With the multimeters I have, they have to be removed to check them.
      I guess on the ones with just two contacts, you might could remove one but not sure.

    $405 replacement part or $10 fix ... someone must have a solution. i read somewhere that there are a few reasons a clock may run fast. in that instance, buying a new part will not fix the problem. so im off to check the hertz(60 vs 50), check the ground, and connection points. im off grid so it could be my converter/ generator, needing a proper ground ... i guess.

    • @BeardedApplianceRepair
      @BeardedApplianceRepair  Před 3 lety

      If your clock is running fast yes it could be your generator. I was told from a "Wolf" tech that the emergency generator this guy had that when it ran a test each month was getting the clock off every few months. Can't help you any further than that. Good luck asshole.
