    I'm 31. I've been a designer for 10 years, and many times I've felt like I don't know what I'm doing, or that I'm not good enough, or where to go next. And also, most of those times, I'm not even sure why I'm feeling that way. This conversation has been very revealing, it gave me a lot of perspective. It makes me think about what I'm doing right now, how I do it and why I decided to do it. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a transformation, even if it's a little one. Thank you, Sagi and Chris. Keep doing what you're doing.

    I could literally listen to Sagi all day long, he has such a calm, intelligent soft yet confident persona.
    Question: I would love to know what you &/or Sagi would advise how to deal with product managers who believe they know more about design than a designer & who also push different ideas to that of what a designer has discussed with the decision maker? How do you stay “nice” in such a frustrating scenario. Constantly being spoken over, or down to like you know nothing about your industry. I have a particular client who is amazing with an amazing vision for her company but her product manager is an absolute nightmare to deal with.

    Thank you Chris for this content and for the energy you bring up with every video. I nearly lost passion for art and design after working for more than 10 years. I did nearly everything that's possible: branding, web, apps, illustrations, concept art, covers, posters, paid contest and unpaid contests. Because of that I even cut ties with design 2 years ago and started to tattoo. But just recently your videos came up and something clicked. I don't know where this will lead me but I feel it's good. I do lack so much in ares like business and design theory but your videos clear that up better than I could imagine, better than any university I would go to. Don't stop.

    I think Chris kind of misunderstands what Sagi means by "being nice". Chris seems to feel that "being nice" means doing things for people and saying yes, even at the expense of yourself. But the way I see it, Sagi refers to the way you treat people, the energy you bring, the intent you carry and the way you see other people: not as opponents or obstacles, but as people.

    • @thefutur
      @thefutur  Před 4 lety +2

    Lol! While his perspectives are enlightening, and agree about “core competencies”, however not sure if he understands that design is a two way communication/interaction n understanding needs of the clients , vs it’s all about me and how amazing I am! Or it’s my way or highway ✌️
    Kudos to Chris for doing a great job as a facilitator.
