I will be honest and say that for me the rocket launcher is really lacklustre, mainly for it's ~50% reduction in damage against raid bosses, it feels like most special weapons would be better

Not necessarily, that could be a sign of a good weapon, even though when most people get a new exotic they will use it and play around with it for awhile, if more people get it, and it is seen around more, this means people like it. Not hating on you or your comment, just a possibility.

For boss damage on raids or nightfalls wardcliff is better, because eyes of tomorrow has 50% less damage on raids and nightfalls

@@tiagonicolodi2237 wardcliff has the same 50% nerf, all rockets have it, most raid bosses have alot of armor/damage resist but a massive crit multiplier, only ones that dont are like atraks, morgeth, i ran eot on atraks and it shreds his health bar almost as fast as lament
Gotta love how even the worst weapon on this list is still better and more unique than half of what we got in Forsaken or Shadowkeep

I love how he says "the lament is arguably the highest sword dps". The numbers were tested already and you can't argue the fact that it's the highest sword dps

I feel like salvations grip would be a much better exotic if it actually did the damage of a legendary GL

It already freezes if it did a shit ton of damage it'd be op.
Wait until Bungie drops the nerf hammer on some of these. Their typical excuse will be “The weapon was doing unintended damage to enemies”.
To be fair, Lament is literally broken. Do a heavy attack while jumping with no ammo, and you still deal proper damage, complete with yellow numbers and multi-hit as if it was revved.
@@Winasaurus They can fix that without nerfing the weapon. It's almost like they don't test their weapons or something. That has been happening since Vanilla Destiny 2.
@@Trinioutsider34 Oh for sure, the Lament, damage-wise, is fine. I saw a comparison video and it's only slightly more damaging than a whirlwind blade Falling Guillotine, assuming perfect stacks. The real benefit is that the Lament combo can be done in the air, and the health boost is kinda nice but not really game-changing.
But of course it will get nerfed anyways because fun weapons aren't allowed to be good. Leviathans Breath is fun, so ofc it's catalyst gives it 5 more ammo and nothing else. No-one tell them how good the Riskrunner is in the raid, cause that will get nerfed too.
Hopefully they just fix the heavy air attack working without ammo and leave it.

@@Coszmoo Salvations Grip isn't really fun for actual gameplay. It's only really fun for being able to glitch with it, which, yes, they did patch. So I'm still right. And give it a little longer and they'll patch it again to make it even harder to glitch out with it.
It'd be cool if they changed coldheart's element to stasis to fit the theme of the name

@@tarrabah5775 gambit is all about darkness so bungie should add some legendary farmable darkness guns. But darkness in game is actually freezing power so im not sure if any other gun then salvations grip should deal stasis ( darkness irl ) damage.

Salvations grip is definitely a utility tool, running a build around shattering crystals and getting defensive boosts from crystals is really fun for isolating majors.

The alternative of Eyes of Tomorrow would probably be Wardcliff Coil. Seeing as it fires many mini rockets and often you don't need to aim

With the amount of fun I have with it in Gambit, yeah, it’s getting hit with a nerf hammer, sadly.
Seriously, take out the first two envoys, and this things shreds the primeval. Any higher and it melts faster.
Just buff other exotics to compete🤷🏼♂️ they’re exotic for a reason, they should feel as such

as a note for lament, you do not even need to stun other champions at light level. you can just burst them to death with one combo

When it comes to getting secret chest and going over annoying stuff i say salvation grip is a blessing for hunters definitely good for helping with getting gardens second secret chest
I only actually finished DSC earlier today with a few friends and after we had our first run on Friday (which we didn’t complete the last stage), coming back today and doing it all with Lament and having a good strategy meant we finished in like an hour and a half. It’s not a hard raid, but it’s pretty damn fun, and has some unique mechanics.
It’s gonna be one I continue running for a while, just for how simple it is.
Salvations grip and martyrs retribution is a very fun combo.
Salvation’s grip has become my favorite exotic in gambit actually. I was a sentinel main in gambit prime and my behavior in game still Mimics that very closely. Being able to freeze invaders immediately and remove the threat has proven invaluable for me so many times, pairs great with the Ikelos smg as well!!!
Wow I didn’t know the lament was that good, I grinder for it last night so I’m glad I got it in the bag
I will also add that for my Warlock guys you can utilize arc soul (especially with Get Away Artist or Sanguine Alchemy) for some pretty useful builds along side No Time To Explain.

@@caldweab the DPS is trash but if you use it combined with your fragments and aspects you can make some crazy builds
I havent equipped any of he new armour exotics (I know they may have utility and the poison gloves on warlock are good) but I would never need to use them over the lament for anything that can be sworded, or anarchy/xenophage so exotic primaries are not good enough. Same with the armour. Transversives are just too good to make the game feel good
But again how can you mess up 4 exotic weapons
Just a note you could get the no time to explain/catalyst with the DLC+season of the hunt bundle pre-order as well. The deluxe edition comes with a ornament for the pulse rifle plus Sparrow and emote and also some merch if you got the physical copy of deluxe edition

Salvations grip needs to freeze for longer and have a way bigger blast radius for it to be somewhat viable, or they could just make it a special weapon

I play on Xbox one, and I have one question. How is it that your weapons have like no recoil? Mine have massive recoil and I sometimes find it hard to stay on target

The sword meta with lament reminds me of the sword meta in Aksis
Salvations grip is such a strange exotic, it’s an essential tool to full mastery of stasis, as unlocking abilities and fragments as well as triumphs for the Splintered title are streamlined and sometimes necessary with it, though apart from that, it’s not the best, as outside of shatter it does no damage
To be fair to salvations grip, it's great for glitchy out of bounds shenanigans, since you can make floor wherever you like. You can use it to get both DSC chests solo.
Salvations grip is so much fun in crucible tho, I love it

Ive honest used no time to explain more than any other exotic weapon so far . Awesome weapon and works very well in the current meta

You can light attack reved up 4 or 5 times and do a heavy attack for mad damage with the lament. People only do 3 and then a heavy but they're missing on more damage. Unless you're doing the 2nd encounter to the raid, you should do this combo

Salvations grip only use is to make the fragment quests easier lol
They need to make the stasis crystals bigger on salvation’s grip. This would make building cover with that gun more viable and open up more uses for it other than damage.
SG isnt even good, it should be a Legendary so you could have a exotic slot as well.

@@mobslayer211 I understand thats what makes it an exotic however its kinda a useless exotic once you get through the stasis quests, why use a weapon that does no damage when you can use any other exotic and get damage potential from that.

I Just wish that cloudstrike was replaced for that D1 sniper that blind enemies, and the salvations grip should do damage...
The Salvation's Grip should be a Special Weapon then Heavy in my opinion. Edit: Then it's worth the slot but may shake the Crucible a tad more that you can use it to create unfair free super kill or heavy kill but counter Shotgun Apes and Aggessive Play to keep safe and barricades door ways too.
If only Salvations grip was in the energy or Kinetic slot 😔

That edition does come with NTE, its not a bug or anything.
Deluxe is an emote a ghost a sparrow and a NTE ORNAMENT

If Salvations Grip had tracking on projectiles it would be somewhat better but theres so many times id be in front of a target shooting with this and still completely miss.. this needs a huge exptic catalyst to be useful
With beyond light out and freezing enemies with stasis being a big focus, would it be cool if they updated coldheart to shoot stasis and freeze enemies over time? With it being an iced themed exotic it makes sense

@@killclip6449 true, however this gun as well as many other trace rifles don't see a lot of play, it might bring a bit of interest back to the weapon, and the lord could be changed accordingly. Otherwise, it would be cool if this was it's own separate gun maybe
My favorite exotic still remains the Halloween grenade launcher that runs on a more common ammo...though it may have changed since I've been gone since the first light level change that messed with all the gears level.

I wouldn't put lament first because of how inconsistent it is in pvp - direct hits doesn't always kill!!!

I would have put the eyes of tomorrow at first given the lament can be quite inconsistent when it comes to its target tracking, where with the eyes of tomorrow u just aim and shoot and kill everything in front of u
Tbh for the pulse rifle i didnt get headshots to keep perk active precision dmg works but ads with out a headshot to the body u can crit and keep it active i use it in lost sectors and fyi damaging yellow bars triggers perks instantly its so broke
