What would happen if you've done the exo challenge, before you started the lament sword quest? What are my options here now. I didn't know that this exo challenge was tied to this mission
Just a tip for anyone: if you wanna get the sword kills with vex you don't need ammo in your sword for the kills to count, also you can do them on any planet

For anyone doing this quest in lightfall. For the sword kill section. Go to the Breakthrough mission in the campaign and the first section encounter with a rally flag has an area where you can get 7 minataurs per run. Just wipe before you kill the hydra and you can rinse, repeat. Also get full sword ammo every time
This is the first exotic quest I completed before the Kackis quest guide came out

If your stuck on the the exo challenge/ Variks don’t have the mission for you. Do the Simulation Survival: Bray Exoscience. Then the next step should pop up once completed to “Vex defeated with finisher”.

During the boss fight a special harpy will spawn. That's how you get the blade parts.
a yellow bar harpy that looks like nightmare harpies but much squishier

Hey Khaki boi, the blade shards drop from a Harpy at the end of the Glassway. Its even simpler.

The broken blade part will be awarded after an awakened harpy is killed in the boss room of “The Glassway” strike and should be awarded to all members of the fire team who are at that stage of the quest once kill.

There's a dead exo in the upper room in the Braytech facility right next to where you have to go for the giant exo. You don't have to do the lost sector if you're just looking to get your 3.
Im probably not the first but during the Glassway strike, there's actually a special shielded harpee that spawn during the boss fight. Me and my fireteam killed it and we all instantly recieved the blade pieces.
I think you get the part in the strike from killing the “Transcendent Harpy” that spawns at the end. That’s how I got it and it only spawns if you have that part of the quest
It does spawn if you dont have the quest but yeah youre right
Out of date. Current changes: They removed the secondary 100 hydra/minotaur kills on step 3 and on step 4 there's 3 challenges in stead of one. Reclaiming Europa / Empires Fall / The Dark Priestess.

For anyone that's already done the Variks quest, you can just do the weekly exo challenge on Europa, that's what I did and it counted... Hope this helps!

In the boss room there will be a random yellow bar harpy that will give the the blade pieces. I got it from it and my 2 friends got it from it. As long as all of you get damage on it it will drop it for everyone.

Don’t know if anyone posted this, but here’s a tip: equip the titan exotic severance enclosure getting finishers clears surrounding adds and counts as progress during the finishers part of the quest

I know this is late but I just barely started this quest and for the glass way blade you have to kill an Ascendant Harpy, it’s spawns in at the beginning of the final boss fight once I killed it I got the blade. Idk if bungee updated it 🤷🏻♂️
My Blade Fragment piece came off a Transcendent Harpy, which I had never seen in the Strike before up to that point.

I think nessus lost sector would be the best for the finishers step. There are 4-5 major per run and you can do this step everywhere

Quick tip, there is a special harpy at the end of the glassway that you need to kill to get the lament pieces.

Hi mr kackis, i found in the final boss room of the glass way strike, there is a harper that has transcend on it and after my friends and i killed it we received the lost fragment.
The mission flag to save clovis bray isn't appearing. Just the way point. I have double confirmed I have done everything I need to do. Help...
Just a heads up the sword piece drops from the transcendent harpy that spawns at the boss fight, it has nothing to do with powerful enemies.

If anyone had problems with the exo challenge where it didn't progress, just open the chest as soon as it spawns and then wait a little bit. I did that and it went on to the next step and also I don't know of this helps but make sure none of your other characters have the quest so I hope that helps you guys!
Are you able to get Randy’s Throwing Knife in season 4??? I had the quest to get it before the new season but when I check my quest log I don’t have the quest for it.
Know someone that use to be in a clan with kackis and they said he not a chill player when playing with him
Tip: go to Nessus to kill the Vex, its quiet and full of them. If the quest after doesnt show up, re-do the simulation on Europa and it will update.

Pro tip, farm finishers by doing the simulation on Europa with a sidearm equipped. Boys, if you pop off the head they charge you at finisher level health! Finished that step in one run by farming the adds at the end... also good for catalyst farming, leveled up my Osteo while I was there.

In the Blade pieces quest step there's a shielded harpy that spawns at the first time when the bosses spawn you have to kill it to get the pieces.
Hey I just did the strike and I got the blade pieces when I killed the Transcendent Harpy in the boss room, it was shielded and looked like a mini boss
Tip for anyone that hasn't done it. I experimented on the exo challenge you can do any exo challenge apart from heroic or atleast couldn't for me.
i got second 100 vex kills and minotaurs by doing 10 minutes of public events on asterion abyss. do it if you have hard finishing the quest ;). love your videos kackis

Or head to the big vex gate on the moon; it allows you to complete the vex finisher in one place without needing to go back and forth
