Went into this blind with an LFG group. We didn’t use a mic and used gunshots to communicate. We spent about 30 minutes with no clue as to what to do, but we got through it and it was definitely an incredible experience.
Perfectly agree... you enjoy it more by figureing it out on your own.
Ah, yes, I also love firing rounds into others to communicate with them. The recent people I had a conversation with all decided to take a nap.

For my solo players, the weapons that worked best for me were Jotunn, Eriana's Vow, and Temptation's Hook with Vorpal and Relentless (ranged boss damage). When you get to the boss room, use Eriana's to rip the shields off the Chieftans and then hit them in the head with First Glance, (it two-taps them with the shield). Once you pull all three levers, jump down to one side and use either Eriana's or Jotunn to pound the boss with damage until he rushes over to you. Jump back up onto the platform above, run all the way to the other side, rinse and repeat until dead. The Hunter Stasis super works great for passive damage since it follows the boss.
When it said "steal" I thought he was gonna wake up and be the final boss
I could literally feel my heart pounding in my chest when it read steal. That would have been a prime jumpscare moment.
Was half expecting a flood like reveal or something.

Deadass. A terrifying mixture of Dead Space and Halo when encountering the Flood. Bungie did some good fucking work with this one.

This is a really cool mission in my opinion at least
ran the whole thing solo and came to a brick wall in the boss. Too damn difficult. I hate being punished for not having friends.
Just solo'd it on my Hunter today to get the exotic. I ran Sunshot, Stealfeather Repeater, and the Iron Banner Rocket Launcher. Switching between bottom tree Nightstalkers, and then middle tree for Spectral Blades for boss. Quick tip: aside from using the cheese when u just stand on the pipe to damage the boss, when the 2 Chieftains Spawn on the bottom level while in a DPS phase, don't be afraid to waste a rocket on taking them out, makes life much easier, so all you hate to worry about is the ads spawning on the top on occasion. Didn't even use my super, just had it so that I could turn invisible for a long amount of time and tank damage if needed for the third phase.

I literally soloed this on my own today I’m also solo player who has no friends on this and I’m not great my trick was at the boss lure the boss at the bottom were u Jump down and fight and just stay up top so he can’t hurt u while pumping wirtherhoard at him..If u are on PS4 I can show u the trick
I just soloed it. Use warlock with Well and Jotumn.

God that was a pain to solo, but thank you for the guide! Pro-Tip for everyone, when dropping down to fight the boss, land on the little pipe before the floor. You can crouch on it and peg the bosses legs with anarchy/whatever you're using 😁

@@derekquintero5666 Bro it took me forever to be honest. I kept getting turned around and lost 😅 I don't really have any friends to play with and LFG is a pain (in my experience) so I just took it slow with a well and Anarchy.
@@ReaperZeph same here! I tried that boss fight like 5 or 6 times. I used arcstride top 3. crimson for the adds, truthteller and threaded needle forthe boss. With a lil bit of patience you can do it. Took me like 2 hours? The whole run bcs it was my first time and you know those puzzles are scary🤣. Hey if you play in ps add me so we can play together. My ps is Kishou_0819.
@@ReaperZeph I had no clue what I was getting into during this mission as all I knew what to do for this quest was the arms dealer. I then did this whole mission solo blind to the boss and then I decided I needed to go to bed so I never beat it. I will give it a go again tomorrow. I really do enjoy it though, it’s different

Mine's back on. Hope your's is too. Did this run the other day. It's worth the wait to get to. The level is actually really fun to play, which is good because you reroll for a new one on every playthrough.

This mission can be solo'd. It's just difficult when it comes to the last parkour double spore part.
Its not thar difficult only thing i struggled on was the boss teleportation and one shot melee
I also had to solo xenophage
You should go on destiny companion for fireteams it's pretty good for finding raid groups
Just use witherhoard. Are of effect damage is your best friend

It would of been different experience if you would do the quest without a guide. You would learn to enjoy it more and not complain about what and how the devs develop new content.

Took me too long. I was figuring out the puzzles on my own, only needed to look here for what to do with the spoors.
I defiantly recommend using Ticuu's Divination because of it's tracking and ability to add-clear.
Thanks for the guide. Helped me to figure where to go from the landing spot, but from there I worked to figure it around myself. Sure it took hour or two solo, then realized I cannot beat boss solo as myself... And then realized I cannot invite players mid-mission. So yeah! Had to run twice...
Riffle is worth it though!

Such a cool mission, I love the setting of it.
The setting was good but that is the only thing good about it! There are some nice challenges but overall, I would say, it's not good game design - it should feel challenging without being cheap. This just feels cheap, similar to the Hawkmoon quest.
The Lament quest was fun though!

Lol I died at the first boss and it bugged out on me, putting me back up to the trash compactor part with no respawn basically making the scorn bugs spawn infinitely with the walls closing in on me...had to quit, not in the mood to go back anymore either for now

This was pretty badass! Did the whole thing without a guide (except for the quest start), I’d like to see some more actual missions with more design and scenario like this.
To anyone who can't find the objective on arms dealer just go back to orbit and retry until there are enemies behind the door. Most of the time people have already killed the baddies and took the objective and left the strike. If you join a strike in progress the objective has most likely been completed
Soloing this mission was pretty fun, to be honest. being alone made atmosphere even better. The boss took some time, but I was able to cheese him by constantly going back and forth between the upper and lower level. Though for further runs I'd prefer to not run alone to speed things up
Easy Boss fight just use AnARCY. The lifebar of Locus goes down so fast and when u have Grenade Launcher Ammo finder its soo easy.
I was an hour in there and didn’t finished bc I don’t always got the buff when I shoot the glowing bubbles. I was so fucked up after an hour, I leave
@@orangenerthantrump3751 I sometimes didn't get the buff either. I felt you have to stand really close to the glowing bubbles to get it. Though I took about an hour as well, since I don't have much in terms of high damage exotics

I swear, this exotic quest is probably my favorite one so far. Its not just a run-in run-out fast one, its difficult, and best of all, it's soloable. Took me an hour and 30 minutes, but it was well worth it, and it was fun. Thank you Rick for the walk through ❤

Grab the left lever, then the right lever, then the goop wall, go through the door, hop on one foot, kill 7 scorn but leave the 3rd vent with the fuse. Go down, kill the boss 5 seconds before killing him pop the chicken petting emote. I love Destiny.

Broo i completed the quest like 5 mins ago solo underleveled (i used witherhoard for the boss since i accidentally killed myself with the europe rocket launcher) btw i found out the doors myself and etc. took me almost a whole hour
and i realized there will be random rolls, im gonna team up with randoms for a god roll of it.
i really dont wanna try whole days to get myself even a nice roll out of it even tho it would be satisfying (if you wanna team up with me say so, but im a google stadia user)
During the mission I found a dead ghost I couldn’t interact with

I'm honestly just going to buy the deluxe edition of Beyond light because it has 3 seasons anyways plus catalyst. I already own Beyond light, but it's a slight deal to get the 12-15 seasons with Deluxe edition.
