Hunter only, our capes are gate ways to the outer reaches of space time. I don't think the vex can compare.

Nothing Important Here looks to be an incredible dps tool for atraks
@@nothingimportanthere2082 Its probably the best weapon to use in that encounter. A dude told me that he did about 110k dmg per phase while his teamate using xeno only got 75-80k.
@@SynchroFPS I figured. I wanted to get Cloudstrike and Lament first before I used them in the raid against Taniks and Atracks. Cloudstrike looks really good to use on Taniks.

@@andrewdorman4797 heres the thing, this seems to work with lucent blade unlike guillotine so you get more frequent heavy attacks and you gets the bonus of the buffed damage although i dont believe it stacks with well or bubble and the buff works with all swords
@@andrewdorman4797 and if you want sustained dps you wouldnt use guillotine, youd use a different sword with jagged, sword master and whirlwind as guillotines heavy takes too long for a little more damage and those swords can use lucent last i checked (again the bonus charge rate)

I've been using a sword build for so many seasons and only worked after the 2 swords of arrival shows up.
Now its perfect after this new sword.
I cleaned up gambit boss almost solo just "wailing" on it for a few seconds.
The chainsaw is cool, but anyone noticed that is also rocket powered? Is a rocket powered chainsaw sword.
It was a fun journey too, missions felt fresh and new with cool landscapes. Love it.
The quest for this weapon was genuinely the best one Iv seen in ages.
No raids required, no PvP, no gambit.
Anyone can pick this quest up and enjoy the steps to unlocking it, without yanking out hair!

Yeah, yeah, it's a chainsaw sword, which is Warhammer 40k. But the setup feels so much like Doom...

The shape of the Lament is a bit too much like the Crucible to be ignored.
You're reforging a weapon wielded by an almighty warrior feared by their enemies.
The weapon is forged in a orange-red energy.
The one that guides you to reforging the weapon is a once-organic being that has transferred themselves to a technological existence.
In both missions involving obtaining the weapon, the moment you get the sword, you immediately get to use it to carve up everything in your path.
Not to mention that both the Crucible and the chainsaw are Doom Slayer's signature weapons, aside from the Super Shotgun and BFG... and the Lament is a combination of the Crucible and the chainsaw to rip and tear through everything it comes into contact with.
Please tell me I'm not the only one that sees this...
I don't know exactly if the Crucible was an inspiration for the Lament but I agree with you. They're pretty similar.
I think you are the only one that noticed but the other I was killed by the Unmakyr in D2 Crucible
Well, the crucible sword design is actually a pretty common design known as the "armour Slayer", which is basically just a sharp stick with a broader half moon stapled to the top so you can stab people whilst simultaneously slashing them. The chainsword, on the other hand, is a iconic design from warhammer 40K, and, more importantly, was created to be one of the primary weapons of the space marines, who are the god emperor's greatest soliders, enhanced beyond any normal human, specially chosen by the god emperor's servants to defend the imperium against all of those who would seek to destroy it and subjugate it's people's. Which sounds an awful lot like a the travelers guardians, specially selected by its ghosts.

Up vote this for Azetcross! Love your videos man! I got an amazing roll of the Trustee from the Raid last night (polygonal rifling, steady rounds, killing wind, high impact reserves and a range mastery work). Was testing it out with a buddy and its got a ridiculous time to kill and ridiculous range (like .75 crossmap), 240 rpm, 47 head (49 during high impact), 28 body and this is no mods, no fragment buff, and scout rifle drop off range.... I think you can see where Im going with this! You gotta get your hands on a good roll of this! No one is talking about it

I've never smiled so much watching Destiny 2 gameplay.
You can use it very well for speed running aswell. If you use the light attack while jumping and revving it you can launch foward quite fast, just a little extra perk for this thing :D
I’m in love with the sword. I was on the fence about sword but looking at it and playing with it. Omg it’s amazing
you can use the blocking swipe ability with the titan to do the sword skate glitch but it makes you even faster because the revved swipe increases your lunge distance

Hey aztecross, the damage the heavy attack does is based on the charge remaining in the revved version. The best combo is actually 3 light attacks then one heavy, that gets the most damage
I immediately thought of Stronghold when I got this sword. This sword will be staying on my 100 resilience Titan for sure 💙

Also with the lament if your charges you can attack enemies that are close to you in the air as it will keep comboing the enemy where as no other sword will
This thing is also insane in Deep Stone Crypt. I was consistently doing more damage than my team throwing this on earlier.
I have a fragment on my titan that increases damage on frozen enemies. That paired with this sword and lucien blade is beautiful
In high-school I helped a family friend do tree removal on the side before enlisting and one time the chain caught and bounced back right over my shoulder. shredded the leather brace thing you wear around your neck area

There's also a chest mod that gives you damage resistance at point blank range. I'm also pairing with Striking Light.
You can get Arctic Haze Auto now thru Variks if you complete the 4th green on his list it opens up quests on a second page.
You can hold guard while and after attacking, depending how much you have left.
Pair that with the stasis fragment that gives you a 10 second weapon damage buff when you freeze an enemy, shatter damage + badass chainsaw sword = ya ded son
Ehroar actually broke down the damage, Rev/1/2/3/Heavy/1/2/3/4/5/Rev/1/2/3/Heavy is the loop for this sword.
Cross’ coming-of-age lumberjack story is the most accurate southern man story I’ve ever heard. Dad had me literally cutting my down oak trees as soon as I hit 8 years old haha

I remember when I cut down my first tree at eleven years old. It was rotting on my dad's property, and he didn't want to use our fuel on the chainsaw, so I had to use the ol reliable axe. Made me realize how much I liked hitting things. Was my incentive for lifting weights, as I loved how accomplished I felt after I felled the tree. Not to mention adrenaline.

Was running it in gambit with lucent blade last night. Great for bursting down primeval but I feel Guillotine pulls back when Lament is taking a breather.
I love that sword but have you tried using world line 0 with the new hunter exotic mask? It's amazing unfortunately I didn't finish my catalyst for the sword
I grew up in the south and can attest to quite a many trees getting chopped down. Sometimes it would even be used as a punishment and Deddy would take us out, pick a tree, toss the axe on the ground, and tell me not to come back in til it’s on the ground.
Just throwing this out there but if you have another arc charged with light mod in a different armor piece while you have lucent blade you gain both bonus effects. This applies with any arc charged with light mod I.e. powerful friends, radiant light
combine high energy fire with lucent for this, and its a NASTY burst damage build.
Use lucent blade, it increases damage by 35-40%, and increases guard charge by 25% for speed
Suggestion for dps testing: Pathfinder’s Crash on EDZ. The entire lost sector is just one room so it’s really easy to do over and over
One thing that i think you skipped is that the Heavy depletes the guard completly and does damage based on the charged consumed. So i think the best combo is 3 rev light for 9x banshee and the heavy, this combo has a dps of +80k
@Aztecross I use a 3 light then heavy combo. Still get the stack 9 multiplier and it doesnt take as much time to execute the combo. Been using it all day and it's a beast on bosses with Lucent blade.
In the mid tree sunbreaker titan stacks of roaring flames stack with this sword and all other solar swords

I'm not too sure but I think Dawn Chorus gives you guard energy if you burn an enemy or throw a solar grenade with your sword out.

The boss breaker and raid wrecker it does 3 hits on every rev hit then the rev heavy deals up to 7x the damage of the regular heavy

For those of you trying to do the raid the lament is extremely potent for dps in the atrask-1 encounter
so you hold block, release, do your 5 light attacks, then finish with a heavy correct? or does clock need to be held the entire combo?
this sword with icefall mantles is crazy, your a tank with the sword and kills keeps refreshing the ice mantles its nice..

I love this sword, its my new favorite weapon in D2 hands down.. its guard is so strong it blocks almost all damage from those massive brigs from heroic crux event and gets stronger while blocking that damage and it even effin heals all damage taken.. its so, so damn strong I really hope bungie dont nerf this since I missed the falling guillotine.. love it..
Does anybody know a way to get the Bequest sword??? It looks like a thin katana blade attached to the hilt that looks like one of those ODM control triggers from Attack On Titan.

Frostees may not help your sword charge faster, but that stasis fragment that speeds up your grenade recharge when you break stasis crystals combined with frostees lets you use grenades like crazy. Even crazier in the eclipsed zone. Throw in weapons with demolitionist or wellspring and you're in grenade city. Lol
If you want the iconic close looking wyverian jaw blade from the first monster hunter game then get the logic weapon ornament with bright dust this week is highly worth it if you love monster hunter
This sword is basicly talor made for the second encounter in deep stone crypt angainst Atrax, a quick burst of damage all at once.

Also, makes it apparent that the Guillotine nerf is directly related to making this sword relevant when you think about it.
1. fantastic burst damage
2. heals with each bit of damage done
3. energy and ammo is very efficient and charges quite fast
4. with ammo and scavenger perk you could never run out of ammo
Just unlocked the second aspect for my hunter and warlock. Warlock gets an additional fragment slot with second aspect for a total of 4, hunter is still stuck at 2 with the second aspect... I get that they want to get more players off hunter, but is this really the way to do it? Cross, what do you think?

Hey I don't know if you are still doing exotic combo loadout but i have one for pve i tried it in pvp it sometime work and sometime doesn't.
Warlock Stasis *Frost Pulse* fragment with *Vesper of Radius*.
Without Vesper the enemy is only frozen but with Vesper of Radius on not only does it freeze them it also hit them with an Arc shock-wave killing them.
In pvp I notice that the shockwave will activate before the freeze and sometime will activate after the freeze.
Wellspring kinetic or energy with this sword is amazing, test it and you'll see
So do you hold the rev button for the whole combo or just the first attack ? 🤔
Combine this with stronghold on titan and man, it is a thing of beauty

@@ssenna free health for blocking an attack and maximizing all guard stats is useful, though I have to admit I wish we got a good ornament for Stronghold.

Maxing out guard stats allows me to tank things I’m not supposed to tank.

Banshee-44 is Clovis bray, it used to be his sword that's why you have to get it from him
