    What carb settings worked best for you on this sled in terms of jetting, screw turns and needle clip position? Right now my current set up is this 400 main jet
    Stock 145 starter jet
    45 Pilot jet
    .6 Pilot air jet
    Stock needle position 2
    Screw turns?
    I’ve heard a lot of people going to the .9 or 1 pilot air jets and maybe raising the needle to position 3. But going over the discussion boards everyone did something different. Thanks

    • @StreetersGarage
      @StreetersGarage  Před 3 lety +1

      Start with the baseline specs from the service manual and go from there.
      For setting slide height and idle. Take a look at the video I did for the Indy 500 round slides. It’s the same theory using the correct drill sizes.
      But with the Flatslides it’s much easier since it’s a single cable that you’re adjusting.
      Set the cable for the slide height and then use the idle adjustment screw to bring it to final.

    Do you need to do anything with the top of the carbs/slides?

    • @StreetersGarage
      @StreetersGarage  Před rokem +1

      Typically you don’t have to deal with the tops. But it would be good to pull the caps off and inspect the slides and make sure they’re not cracked.
      If the slides are green in color, they’re prone to cracking. If they’re black, you should be ok.
