He has a lifetime of experience with wrenches and he loves to teach what he's learned. Super humble guy and we are blessed to have him on the team. Thanks for taking the time to write and for following along with the crew!

@@billisbobagis1687 maybe you need to try small shops. Big dealers will want experience but small shops are always looking for help. Like i said its a hard job and many people don't last. They might not pay you that well in the beginning because you are learning. My neighbor works for a on the road repair shop that and he says that they are always hiring people. He says they hire kids that have never changed a tire because they need as much help as they can get. But most just don't last, its a tough dirty and at times very stressful job when it comes to diagnostics. But if you are young and determined im sure you can be successful at it. Just don't assume it's going to be all nice and good as these videos make it seem to be sometimes.

Also the connecting rod may snap and punch a hole through the engine block and you have to junk the block

So odd how different engines can be. Maybe I just am too easily fascinated, but the engine in my bus, is so over engineered in some things, yet so simple in others. Although the way they want the gaping measured on the rod caps is just insane. Tighten one bolt up (before the TTY begins...apparently by magic since they dont give me that value lol), the measure how much the other end, the unbolted end of the cap cracks open. Measure that gaping maw, and then you know to tigthen more or not. Its so...imprecise to me, yet other things they want machined at .1 thous tolerance. (it aint a Detroit, or Cummins. Its a MAN engine...horizontal 6 with hemi...err not heads but piston bowls lol)

All that nice equipment you gotta get poor nate a proper engine stand. Jack stands stink with engines that heavy.
