Wish a DVD had been made from this tour. Having both Brad and Fran Cosmo to sing lead was priceless.
Saw the Walk ON Tour and it was sooooo good!
Thank you!!!
Too bad they don't still have Fran. Fran was the only truly great singer and fit they've had besides Brad. No offense to Michael Sweet. I just don't think he was the best fit.
this was brad's last Tour with Boston and am glad i got to see'em Live in Albuquerque. This song was a great surprise, just loved it!!
Yes it was. Got to see them in Biloxi, MS that year.
I love that heavy chunky riff that comes in over the chorus... Just genius songwriting.
Boston has so many underrated gems.
True. The entire Walk On album is very underrated imo.
Hybrid Ice wrote this song. Boston bought it.
Check out the original from Hybrid Ice.
@@safersects4633 yeah boston change many of the parts and the music entirely
Fran Cosmo and Brad Delp = best duet ever!!
you got that right
Seeing the tours with them together was soooooo good
And during this show, 10 years after the album came out and "flopped", Tom doesnt care. He is still playing it as he should!!!
Thank you!!
i love this song and yes its a hard song to sing live and fran nailed it........
Everytime I hear Brads voice on back up vocals I get goosebumps.
Brad we all miss you man....
Damn, I love hearing Brad. So sad he is no longer around.
GO BRAD...MISS YA DUDE!

What a bunch of talented musicians!!
delp and cosmo.....WOW what a one two punch!
It's missing the part where they drop the giant bass down from the ceiling with all the space videos on the video wall. I was 14 and I'll never forget this show at arrowfest 2004.
Love how they opened it with "The Launch" from Third Stage. Guess Tom just doesn't get to play it that much.
Starts at 4:30 . Thank you Hybrid Ice for one of Boston's best songs.
Jim Munster thnx
I still like the H Ice version better !
@@scottewell9743 Absolutely The ORIGNAL was Much Better
@@suebailey9842 yes ty hybrid ice did way better !ty again
Agree. Loved Hybrid Ice growing up in PA.
Wow Tom even plays the instruments of other on stage amazing!
they were awesome together
No disrespect to Fran but when you hear Brad singing backing vocals it makes you wonder Walk On would have sounded like if he sang on it.
No doubt
Brad is the master
Would have sounded better , for sure
But I DO like the Walk On album
Great Hybrid Ice song right there. They wrote it.
most awesome * one if my fav bands ever
such a difficult song to sing. For the non-singers out there. Brad and Fran are doing impossible things live.
Nick Melara Hybrid Ice led by Chris Alburgers voice do it all the time
@@jimforney7130 yes they do it well, but this is done in a much higher key.
It's a tough song, but I heard them do it on this tour much better. Just an off night, particularly on that high line after Brad sings his line.
Thank you!!!
@@francosmo4750if this is Fran thank you for many many hours of listening to one of my favorite CD,s of all time
Love's Brad's voice.
Best ever
Tom Scholz's daughter on bass is just the coolest of cool to this 60-y-o diehard Boston fan from South Africa.
Boston is Awesome - Concert - Pittsburgh PA 1777 - Three Rivers Stadium - Pretty sure:).> Thank You:).
First Album:).
Back in the middle of Pittsburgh's 4 Super Bowl too!
Such a beautiful song. 8:24

When I saw Boston in 2014, I didn't know Brad had committed suicide since I had just started listening to Boston 3 years prior, and I thought Tommy DeCarlo was Brad since they found so alike. I didn't learn the truth until 2 months later
Trust me that's what Tom is hoping for.
@@robotnutz3601 Bullshit
Brad looked happy he got to rest some.
Love Boston but this song was originally done by a local band here called HYBRID ICE (can find the song on youtube).. Boston just changed some the words around but same song.. Just wondering if gave HYBRID ICE any credit or anything..??
They did credit. You can't use someone's song and change lyrics without permission from the writers. If they did, it would be an easy win lawsuit for the original writer.
3 music icons standing right before you.
Boston>hybrid ice
Jesus, no one on the planet adjusts their ear monitors more than Fran....not just this video, dig up any other live one with him in it. Either get ones that fit or stick with the floor wedges!!
I have pro ear monitors (custom molds) and they can be very uncomfortable for people that have a lot of movement in their ear canals when singing. I am one of those people... fortunately I did not get my IEMs for live performances, but I fidget with them all the time. On a side note, I have to be careful when I have mine in because my jaw can dislocate.
It looks like they issued a guitar to everyone who entered the arena and threw them on stage
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🤘💋💋💋
1977:)>.. Yesterday.
Fran Cosmo is good but no Delp!!!
That guitar is freakin' huge. Is there a story behind it?

🤔 I watched the Christmas video with Kimberly that you posted the link to in what I expected to be the answer to the question but there's nothing in the other video that tells the story behind the giant bass...

It's a bass guitar
Magdelene was done well by boston but for all who don't know a band called hybrid ice wrote and sang it and it sounds great. Hybrid Ice was a great Pennsylvania band but all who know thought they hybrid ice should have been on the big stage. Listen to them on u tube
chuck s Magdelene let me hear it said so I am sure Answer me or your voice be silent evermore. Here I am was I wrong this time was it all in my mind Magdelene. Love Hybrid Ice. Still bringing in the crowds.
My first concert? - Hybrid Ice at Muncy High School in northern central Pennsylvania. My Dad hung with them before that too.
Brad lands the notes, in the sweet spot, the guest star is pushing his larynx up and squeezing the notes, never a chance to go higher.
John Jewel thx u nailed that one
Brad landed the notes in his 20's, 30's and mid 40's not so much after that. Tommy sounds more like the albums live.
Great album but imagine how much better it could have sounded had Brad been lead vocals.
I think Fran did just as good a job.
I imagine How Much better If Chris had Been lead (Hybrid Ice)
good job guys with that song those old fashion ear piece that thay have now days that thay put over there ears is crap all it is is a strap that gos over your ear and it hard to keep it in your ear and it doest give out much sound eather i notice he was having issuses with that and at the end of the song looks like he was trying to take it out right away
4:30
Sorry but this doesn’t hold a candle to Hybrid Ice’s original Magdelene!
nice try copying brad...but.
How does Tom Shultz feel about the fact if he wasnt such a narcissist Brad Delp wouldnt have killed himself?
This all streams from Brad never feeling like a true partner.
That's a pretty unfair statement. Tom Scholz (notice the spelling) did write all of the songs, produced, and arranged. Brad left Boston at least once before, he could have done it again. He killed himself because he was caught looking at his sister-in-law naked with a webcam he secretly hid in her room.... So.. that's not cool.
Thats bullshit and a horrible thing to say!!! Tom loved Brad!
@@dcdno_one2393 Tom Scholz was blamed by Delps ex-wife and inner circle for putting Brad Delp in the middle of disputes with former band mates. Delp was tight with the former band mates and Barry Goudreau was also was Brad's brother in law . Also what fueled the fire more was that Brad was really upset and disheartened that Scholz fired Fran Cosmo and his son from the band after Scholz discovered allegedly Cosmo and his son had been using the logo BOSTON to bill themselves outside the band. Scholz was banned from Delps funeral by Delps ex wife and he tried to retaliate by suing Miki Delp for defamation. In 2012 the Massachusetts Supreme Court threw Tom Scholz' lawsuit OUT.
@@davidstewart4310 But Brad didn't like Tom Scholz. According to former bass player David Sikes "Brad never could bring himself to stand up to Tom" and he said Tom Scholz was screwing Brad out of a lot of money. Tom Scholz had a tendency to belittle original band members and Brad According to Fran Sheehan had said" You don't want to cross Tom, he could make your life miserable ". I was very surprised to read these interviews but the former band members weren't afraid to speak their minds. They didn't criticize the music but they did reveal Tom's perfectionist attitude. If you saw Jim Masdea the drummer before Sib Hashian (RIP) on ROCK HISTORY with Jim Beaudin earlier this year, he said Tom was a narcissistic person. That full interview is on CZcams. I made none of this up.
@@waltersimmons946 I know all this. It’s not what prompted Brad’s death. Brad had set up a camera in his girlfriend’s sister’s bedroom recording her. A peeping Brad. When she told him he needed to tell his girlfriend - he killed himself instead. The band conflicts are nothing new and didn’t cause this death. Brad’s own behavior and subsequent shame was the new change.
The band conflicts were long standing. Barry had sued Tom too. If Fran was using the logo Tom would have to kick him out or he would lose his trademark because it would have been undefended.
Not near as good as Hybrid Ice!
Sorry Boston, the original was better
They really butchered a great song.Hybrid Ice thank you for a great song,
What an unnecessary crappy-long intro.
It’s a separate song off of Third Stage 😂
