I hate myself for never seeing them live, one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time... WALK ON!!!
This is the most underrated rock opera of all time. It is 13 minutes of pure rock, and when all 4 tracks on Walk On (the album) it makes a masterpiece that rivals other great rock operas from Queen, The Who and Green Day. Fantastic work, and anyone who thinks otherwise isn't a Boston fan.
Their first 2 albums are some of the greatest in all of rock, but Walk On seriously should have received more love than it did. Third Stage wasn't fantastic, and the most recent 2 albums (while good in their own right) don't hold a candle to the magic the early stuff had.
Long story short, I've always said that Boston is the only band that could put out 6 albums in 40 years (not including Greatest Hits) and still have such loyal fans. There's something special there.
True! It is pure rock’n’roll! As the the organ part, named Get Organ-ized, sounds amazing!
All you have said is just true, this gret band has have not the recognition they deserve 😢❤🎉
I never understood why this album wasnt a bigger hit. It was a much needed sound after the mellow (but still excellent) Third Stage. This was a great track, Tom is a very underrated keyboard player and guitarist.
It actually went platinum and had three hit singles, including this song.
And songwriter
It was released in the wrong era
I am Japanese sorry I can speak English very a little.
But I love Boston's tune 14 age from to now 49 age .
Mr.Tom is very nice and this video very nice too.
Thank you so much.
I think it's really nice to hear people like Boston in other countries. I started listening to Boston when they first started. I was 16 myself and now I'm 59. As the verse of the Boston song goes....Its been such a long time!!!!
Then you are now 56 just like me, hello from Boston kiddo
Well I don't know if anybody reads replies 7 years later, but welcome. I'm 59 for a few more months anyway. Always nice to hear from people with good taste! Peace.
well done, Boys heart! were all Boston fans! and you speak English way more than I speak Japanese! Arrigato!
Greetings to the Rising sun Nation: Japan.
For those who say it can't be Boston without Brad Delp, you are right it can't be 1976 thru 1988 Boston. However every band goes through changes that require new members added to fill in the holes left when a lead singer is no longer available or his voice no longer allows him to hit those high notes. Of course I wish 30 year old Brad was still nailing that high E but this is what we have now like it or not. I saw them on this tour and loved every minute. Tommy DiCarlo et all do an amazing job. Tom Scholtz has put pieces together to make their music as close as possible to the albums. He is a master.
one of the most underrated bands ever
Yes, that's true.
@@enriquechavezterrones9311 I think it wasn't underrated in the '70's and '80's, but, and I bet Tom would agree, velocity of getting albums out had a bit of a limit on production. I think this particular album was absolutely brilliant, and what's cool is the cut/style/tempo/vocals is so "Boston".
Best band and best song ever...would give my life and soul for this kind of music👌
Tom gave that B3 a workout! Absolutely wonderful!
the best damn electric guitar sound of all time Boston has been my favorite since 1978
And Gary Pihl is soooo good
By far my favorite Boston song. Never saw it in a live recording, loved it.
This will be played at my funeral!!! Long live Boston!!
Amazed how good this sounds live
I cant stand people who are haters ! Most haters cant walk and chew gum at the same time ! The new lead singer is as close as your going to get to Brads sound and Tom is and will always be one of the best you will ever hear period ! Boston Rocked then and they Rock now !!!!
Just be thankful TS still performs. It's not like he's hurting for money. Not many 70's bands playing anymore as the average age is 68.
Not a hater, but i am NOT a fan of Michael Sweet. Hair band singing! Not Boston!
Like anybody gives a crap what you think...his voice is flat and has no depth.
I saw Boston live 3 times every concert was great
This is GREAT......1st time seeing the Walk On Medley played live (although they left some out :))!
One of my favorite Boston songs ever. Michael Sweet is amazing
I loved hearing that song again!! Cheers!!!
Giantific, you can only say Whow what a great performance
Love Boston period early stuff I fell asleep to and cried if not on love all the older. Need I say more and they all sooth me today.
I so wished brad delp sang on this song.
It's Okay I'm with the BAND
at 06:42 Tom to his bandmates "...yeah... I know... I'm having fun here!" :) Love it.
🤔... As Deep Purple Fan I thought He moves into Lazy....🤘😉👌
This is the best song ever
With this lineup I expect a sooner than later new album. Keep the good work. Thanks.
A big thank's,for this post.FANTASTIC!
I miss Fran on this one!!
Yes! Fran was so great on this album! He doesn't get the credit he deserves from the fans.
@@barrychitwood3946 Hey but Michael Sweet isnt bad tho. Fran is my favorite of course
Carnal!!! 🇲🇽
Boston is amazing going to see them live July 21st at Tropicana in Atlantic City
Jeffery Neal the drummer is my history teacher
Wow. Where?
Great drummer
JEFF NEAL!!!!
Goddamn are these guys GOOD !!!!! BOSTON music is the best in all the world !!!!!!!!!!
Yes, in the 70's he had Barry Goudreau and brad Delp...
Saw them in 2004 and got to go back stage and meet Brad, Gary and Kimberly. They were great that night. Tom should have ended Boston when Brad left us. This is sorta sad.
Yea, that's sort of a tough call to make I guess. Tom was just as much of a vital ingredient as Brad, having pieced most of it together on his own. I think if I was Tom I would probably want to continue doing what I was good at doing, but I know it's definitely not the same without Brad.
Good and very long theme! It was exiting!
Amazing!!!😎👍👍👍
Michael Sweet
I just can't do it....it's like a cover band without Brad.
Brad didnt sing the original here. You gotta listen to it for what it is and know what it isnt. Boston took a turn when brad left.
Of course I'm gonna say BOSTON ROCKS
the greatis rock an roll band ever recoded.
The Rockman matches up close to some of the songs on the 2nd album, but the 1st album is Marshalls all the way. In some early interviews, Tom did say that he learned a few things from Barry.
@forrestclay Well said "multitude of trees" !!!! Take care Bud !!!
9:20 njpw G1!
Great stuff. Wish it was Brad n Fran though
Mr. Scholz, God bless you 4ever.....
@achamate Boston is coming out with a new album sometime in 2012!
Lead singer looks like he's more interested in playing rock star than in actually signing the song. I've heard worse, but they could do better.
He’s actually not the lead singer, the other guy tommy decarlo is and he’s actually better than who ever the hell this guy is
@@tigerguy1013 Not on that song. DeCarlo is clearly singing backup. DeCarlo is worlds better.
That would be Michael Sweet, he was brought in to sing lead on a few songs and play rhythm guitar for this tour. And he is a rock star.. which is why he has great stage presence.. and he got to play live every night with one of his all time favorite bands, so sure he was just loving every moment of it.
@@tigerguy1013 Actually at that point in time they were both official singers in the band. Tom was basically trying to duplicate the same live dynamic they had when Brad had returned to the band and was singing alongside Fran.

Tom is one of greatest musicians of rock history.
Kick ass hammond playing
Sepre cosi .............
Why dont we have enough likes on this masterpiece..... All are f***king deaf...lol
wow
he could sing
Take a shot every time he flips his hair back
Yeah, not a fan of that trick... or the running back and forth.
The organ has alot of emphasis on Deep Purple
Brad delp is Best with Fran cosmo
@forrestclay Well said ...multitude of trees !!!!!!! Yep , it's me .
That's not Fran Cosmo is it
No Fran left in 2007 right before Brad's suicide micheal sqeet took his place and now its Tommy Decarlo who is a guest performer here
Hammond organ sounds a bit to me, he tends to start Deep Purple's "Lazy" from Machine Head or Made in Japan ...:-)
Imagine if Brad Delp sang on this, it would be a real Boston song!
well.
The vocalist's are good, but it doesn't sound right without Fran Cosmo singing it. And that's Michael Sweet, not Kevin. Rockman was a series of effects developed by Tom Scholz to simplify his musical process. Great products, but they just don't have the same sound as his rigs on the first two albums. And Tom was already using his own effects on the first album. They just weren't developed as far as the Rockman stage yet.
Saw this live with Fran AND Brad in 95-97 and it was sooooo good
Get ORGANized is epic. No questions about it.
Michael love too much his hair..
Crazy thought: Bring Barry back for lead guitar, Bring Fran back on vocals (because he was the only other Boston singer I liked even though hes still miles behind Brad), and Bring Sib back on drums and then Boston now will be worth seeing live because Tom himself and a bunch of mediocre band members isn't sparking my interest :P
then stop listening to boston
+Tigerguy 101 I'll stop listening to current Boston but not Boston in the past.
If it's not sparking your interest dont watch. I myself would watch Tom Scholz play on stage with 5 high school kids. To me the magic is watching and listening to Tom. I've seen him do some absolutely amazing things with his instruments and each time I watch I'm never disappointed!! He is 61 in this video and still Rockin. He did some recent stuff as well. I believe he was about 70 on the last concert it seen.
1976.
bradley delp is boston.
OK, I´m sorry, here You´ll have it: Tom Scholz.
Yeah I bet he does listen to bieber lol. Check the videos on his channel LOL. He plays World of Warcraft.
you don't like that first boston album and don't look back
greatest rock and roll band ever recorded.
Boston will always be my all time favorite band. But damn...neither of those dudes can sing!
Honestly , Tom should have discontinued the Boston name , ...just called " this" ...whatever
The timing around 11:10 and the guy on lead guitar suk. I saw Boston live in the early 90's when Cosmo took over, Delp showed up at the concert too, and both sang, it was a thing of beauty. The guy's singing here definitely need to go back & practice or give it up.
Randy House Funny. I didn't find that part bad at all and also Sweet sounds pretty good (although flat at places). What disturbed me the most was how off Tom Scholz was in the part 9:21 - 10:00 .
Randy House - I concur bro
I'm sad brad delp dead in year 2007
In 2007, actually. Still sad
what?
A voz do Michael Sweet é inconfundível. Canta muito!!!
bradley delp can sing.
mr sweet from stryper folks
At the 9:18 mark you'll see rock and rolls greatest "chime" player. I defy you to find a more talented one. The Clapton, Van Halen, Page, Vai, Vaughn, etc of the chime.
Ladies and gentlemen, a boston tribute band...
bradley delp
o
Did you guys know that was Kevin sweet from stryper sing with Boston!!!holly shit
+Chris Swinney Uh Michael Sweet, yes.
Michael sweet
WEAK. Fran Cosmo owns when he sings it.
Blame Tom Scholz for that; he fired Anton in a fit of pettiness and his father by that point was so fed up he called it quits. Tom even tried suing Fran a few years ago to prevent him from naming himself a former band member in his own promotional materials. 9_9
With out Brad and Fran Cosmo they suck!
Ur opinion. Michael Sweet is an excellent singer from an incredible band
@Teuska1959 Try spelling his name right.
I love Boston, they've been my fav band for all time, but... this is horrible..
This is not so good I expected from the real Boston and from Tom Schultz himself. I´m sorry
What is it with this guy and his hair? He's watched too many rock bands and is overdoing this.
@Stevlul We have a REAL contender here who is BETTER than Tom at guitar and writing songs , OK dude , the floor is yours................
Sorry ....cant do this "singer" . Not even close to being like Brad
He wasn't brought in to be "brad". he was brought in to be himself.
At least Michael Sweet is entertaining - other singer dude is a boring yawnfest.
Hmmm I'd take Delp, but Cosmo is one of the worst singers I've ever heard...in my humble opinion of course :P
That's not Cosmo that's Michael Sweet from stryper. Cosmo left in 2007 before Brad's death and Michael Sweet took over for a few years. Now its just Tommy DeCarlo (The other singer in the vid)
