Hi, I’m quite certain that the Mandela Effect is indeed a very real phenomenon. Most of the instances affected by the Mandela Effect cannot be found anywhere online.
Take, for example, the phrase “Me Tarzan, You Jane” from your video. However, if you search for a similar scene dubbed in another language, you can sometimes find the original "ish" sentence.
I’m from Romania, and in the case of the Mandela Effect related to Snow White, the original English version uses the phrase “Magic Mirror.” However, in the romanian dubbed version I grew up with, it was “Oglindă Oglinjoară”, which translates to “Mirror Mirror.” So, at some point, this phrase did indeed exist.
I always use this method regarding a Mandela Effect.

Thank you for the update, All Time..!! The biggest Mandela Effect for me is the location of our heart. It used to be on the left side of our chest. When I learned of the Pledge of Allegiance back in the early 1980s, I learned the reason for our right hand covering the left side of the chest was because we needed to put our right hand over our heart. I googled and found "Holding your right hand over your heart is a form of respect for Country and Flag. Its part of the United States Flag Code." Now our heart is located almost right in the middle. Our skulls also have the eye sockets sealed off, and we have tiny holes in our skulls now.

I remember watching a lot of little house on the prairie when I was kid. They did have an episode where the girls got trapped down a well. But I also remember lassie and the dog going for help with the same situation in that series.

You should look into Mandela Effects of the original PS1 Final Fantasy VII. There was a clip played of one of the flashback sequences in another video I watched where I noticed a specific line of dialogue from Sephiroth was suddenly different from how I remembered it.
FFVII is a game I know like the back of my hand...or so I thought. I 100%'ed the game many times over the years, although the last time I did so was probably about a decade ago. Anyway, this one altered line of dialogue creeped me out so much that I decided to watch a full playthrough of the original game to see if there were any other changes to the dialogue. Turns out there are quite a few very noticeable changes...
The playthrough I'm watching is 35 hours long and I'm only about 20 hours into the video at the moment...so who knows how many more changes I will come across...I'll share with you the original change I noticed which was what prompted me to dig deeper into this.
In one of the later flashback sequences, the one where we are shown the truth of what went down in the Mount Nibel reactor, we are shown Sephiroth stabbing Cloud, but then Cloud grabs Sephiroth's masamune and flings him off the bridge. Right after Sephiroth stabs Cloud, I very vividly and distinctly remember the line being "Don't...push...your luck.."
However the apparently correct line is: "don't...push it.."
I completed this game so many times and I am telling you, I am 100% convinced the dialogue of FFVII has changed.
I remember "don't push your luck" too. It's possible there are different versions of the game where translation might have been improved. Things like greatest hits version and directors cut ect. For example Sephiroth after doing you know what he says "Beacause you are a puppet." Because is obviously misspelled you can see it in HCBaily playthrough.
If you played FF8 there is a part where you have to find the captain and commander and I somehow triggered a scene of Fujin having a nightmare in the hotel, but never could do it again. I mentioned it casually to a friend once and he experienced the same thing. Not really mandela just thought I'd share and I've brought it up before but no one else has shown an interest or had an answer. And think it's interesting considering all the fan theories about that game that Square denies.
@@rjmaxx1258 yes I did think about the dialogue being changed across ports/re-releases but that one particular line just seems very unnecessary to change. I'm actually putting together a list of specific lines that I think were altered so I can check across all versions. That's how determined I am to get to the bottom of this, It's driving me crazy lol

The line me Tarzan you Jane comes from a little known today comedian Jimmy Durante, in the film Hollywood party of 1934 performed a Parody of the first tarzan film that lasted for two and a half minutes called Schnarzan the Conqueror!! (with two excalaimations marks.) A film long forgotten, but was often screened as an afternoon movie in the UK durring the 1970s (which is where i know it from).
Durante was short, puny, had a huge nose that was the source of much of his comedy and spoke with a New Jersey accent, he was commonly known as the Schnozle a refeerence to said large nose.
He rerformed the role in long johns worn under a loin cloth and fought obviously stuffed Lions and snakes, and upon meeting his glamorous Jane played by Lupe Vélez (yes that Lupe Vélez) Durante's then girl friend he exclaims "Me Schnaran, You Jane?" and when she says yes, he mugged to the camera with a "things are looking up" expression.
This is the origin of the phrase that quickly lost it's question mark and became attached to Johnny Weissmuller

The effect that messed with me the most is the Ford logo changing. I have really good visual memory. And took extra attention to staring at car emblems ever since i was a kid. The ford logo used to never have the whirly swoop thing in it. Thats a fact.

The biggest shock for me was to hear the voice of Gex Gecko in this video ... my thought was what is wrong with his voice, later I have found out that the UK/PAL version of the game got an other voice. I think the UK voice of Gex is much better. ^^

An interesting thing about the Shazaam being in Gex with it being a 95 release, it's before Kazaam, nice find. Now the only movie that Sinbad did play in 1994 was "Aliens for Breakfast" released April 2nd 1994, a Saturday. Some people remember "Shazaam" being released on April 1st 1994, a Friday along with 6 other movies. Doesn't make much sense to have two movies with an almost identical release date.

I swear there used to be a Star Trek compilation of all the times Bones said "Dammit Jim I'm not a _____" A couple in particular I remember is "I'm not an engineer" because I think he was left behind on the ship and I could swear one was one of his colorful phrases referring to Vulcans. The Lassie joke clearly went over your head. No one thinks the Timmy fell down a well, was a direct quote. It’s a running joke to parody that humans on the show would intently listen to Lassie’s barks as if they could understand a tragic event he was telling them had happened, so he could get help from them.
6:49 Nope! Vader always said, "No, I am your father." The "Luke, I am your father." is a misquote first used in Chris Farley's 'Tommy Boy' when Tommy's playing around with a fan in his office. Having Tommy say Luke's name before the "I am your father." line informs the audience of the film he's referencing. Otherwise, the viewers would miss the gag.
Since then, the people have continued misquoting the line. Much like how people misquote Short Round "Hey, Dr. Jones! No time for love." from 'Indian Jone And The Temple of Doom.' This misquote is first used in Kevin Smith's 'Clerks' when a customer asks Randal if he'd seen a pair of keys, prompting Randal to reply, "No time for love, Dr. Jones."
These aren't Mandela Effects, but more simply people hearing a misquote and continuously using the misquote.
A video on youtube mandela effects would be a good thing to consider. For example, many people swear the popular Minecraft youtuber, camman18 (with an m) was called canman18 (with an n) when camman18's username appears onscreen as camman18 in his first video.

The moment she holds her hands out the tub. It just looks so weird now. Now she looks like she's a suicidal patient instead of her hands being the bandaged part. I think Simpsons pop references can account to 90% of these since we were kids in that Era only catching these movies on cable reruns but always catching the Simpsons our brains then conflatedth to. I played Gex over and over again when I was a kid. I remember every you are talking about and I remember watching the quotes in all the movies referenced. I was left alone a lot as a child and didn't have siblings. These games and movies were my friends. I remember what it used to be. These things have changed. I wish I had more proof. All I have is ny memories. I can even remember before I walked and have freaked people out for how far back I can remember.

It's "garbage smashers" I had the audio of the movie on 8-track when I was a kid in 1979. I listened to that tape on repeat over and over for an entire summer until finally it got over-heated and tangled up. My mom tried to save it but it too far gone. By then, I could literally quote the entire movie, from the drum roll of Twentieth Century Fox, to the last note in the outro. And yes, I even sounded out the music. 😂

I just saw a new media Mandela. I'm re-watching Orange is the New Black and Piper's "squat and cough" is different. I've seen ep 1 s 1 many times (re-watch after every new drop). I remember the guard telling Piper "you can do better than that" when she slightly clears her throat. Now, Piper just rolls her eyes and coughs....
I know I’ve commented this on a few of these but come the most obvious Wizard of Oz Mandela Effect has to be Click your heels three times. That was my first one before I even knew what a Mandela Effect was and it was on a VHS I kept rewinding it so confused. And it ain’t easy being Cheesy there’s no way I’m miss remembering that. 🤔 Wonder if there’s any Max Hedrum Mandela Effects?😅

That Luke thing drives me crazy because i was a star wars junkey ive watch the movie to nany times to count. I remember him saying "no Luke, iam your father!" The entire fight vader was trying to hint at Luke to connect the dots.

A new hope was slightly before my(time!?or) awareness of star wars. I came up on the empire strikes back and return of the Jedi. In that time once a new hope had its run in theaters it sat in the archives I guess until laser disc (you had to damn near be Hue Heffner just to afford one) or vcrs came about. So yeah through so through lax of tech a new hope was before my time but I went back and got in to it.

So, I realized I’ve had yet another Mandela Effect that I knew about for years before I knew what the Mandela Effect is. The insect extermination company Terminix was, at one time in my mind, called Terminex. I specifically remember that it was that way in the 90s. Then many years later I realized the name was spelled nix and thought they changed it at some point. But then I was watching through a compilation of TV broadcasts from the late 80s, and lo and behold it was still called Terminix then. Mind. Boggled. Anyone else remember it that way? Or am I the only one?

I think the one about Lassie telling people that Timmy fell in a well was a joke making fun of the show. Like joking that Lassie helped Timmy with his math homework. Something really absurd but hey, it’s Lassie and she can do anything
