The problem with this take is that no one including Acho expected the Ravens defense to be this good last season, so how can you say how god they will be next seaons. Everyone said Clowney/KVN were washed and we seen how that aged. Bottom line you never know how good a team will be until they play

Acho is right and I am a Ravens fan, DC changes will hurt, it took at least 6 games to get McDonald’s defense season one . The team let alone the defense had pieces that showed up and got better when injuries happened example starting safety get hurt your third string leads the league in INT. Running back go down you get Keaton Mitchell. As a Ravens fan you have to know that’s not normal. They squandered an opportunity cut and dry.

Roquan made queen look good we will be fine. Geno wasn’t our best safety not even close he wasn’t even a starter.Clowney, we get vets every year who contribute like he did. So in reality we loss nothing. 2 are back ups 1 was playing avg until roquan showed up. Defense will be just as good. And offense pretty have same wrs with more experienced zay and now Henry plus when mitchell Healthy.

How can u say a team in the first year under a new coordinator was as good as they can be then turn around and say the defense is gonna be trash cause they are gonna have a first year coordinator… funny thing about Mike and I loved Mike.. …, but let’s be real last year was only his second year as D coordinator for us and people outside the building doubted him going into last year because of our lack of overall personnel especially in the secondary… Remember Brandon Stephens had looked average at best prior to last year… No doubt Clowney had a career year for us last year but let’s be real he was coming off a 2 sack season going into 2023 .. hindsight is always 20/20 but based strictly on talent and health our secondary should be much better… PQ is a hit but Simpson has all the physical traits to be a potential upgrade… He’s bigger stronger and faster… Not to mention he actually got to sit a year and learn the game at the pro level… Zay should be better in year 2… Henry should be better than our committee approach to the run game… Not to mention Lamar should have better command in year 2 under monken.. Time will tell but at this stage of the process in comparison to last year the ravens appeared to be an improved overall squad
