My town of Fort Frances has five of these scattered throughout the area. There used to be a sixth near the old paper mill but it got taken down. They test the sirens every first Wednesday of each month.
-SRNs are older, and have an older-style rectangular rotator box whereas -130s have a square-shaped, direct driven rotator box. -130s also have a large intake box and have a larger Federal Signal logo. In most cases, -SRNs are lower pitched than -130s.
You forgot about the SRNB! That was the model (revision of the SRN) that they started using the direct driver rotator in because of all the issues. And yes your right. The difference between a SRNB and a 130 is the larger intake. I give you kudos for that because very few notice that.
I know its wired the 2001 has the same chopper with a little faster motor but it seems to wind down faster. The thunderbeam sth-10 and 2001 all have the same chopper also keep in mind the 2001 is built off the thunderbolt thunderbeam and sth-10. If you looked in the chopper housing (the box that holds the chopper and some wiring) if you look in there you will see a chopper housing from the thunderbolt.
No, I think it used to be grey. Either way, I think Huntingburg should repaint their old sirens. They are starting to look kinda rough, especially this one.
The siren says to the bird "bitch get yo ass off me before I make you go deaf!"
this is one of my favorite older videos. I have to film this thing one day if I end up in IN
Yeah it's still there. It's controlled by radio now and sadly doesn't do attack anymore, but still a really nice siren.

0:22 poor bird
LOL at the crap flying out of it!
As soon as I saw the bird, I knew this video was going to be good!

Now thats a lot of torque.
Thats just like the sirens where I live how do I know? I live a few houses away from it
Yes, I know that. The reason why 2001s wind down quicker is cause their chopper is smaller then STHs/RSHs.
Some good bearings

My gosh those STH-10s take forever to wind down.
@SgtSavage166 Actually, the siren you are referring to is a nearby 2001-SRN in alert signal.
whats the differce between SRNs and 130
My first thought: Bird, you are about to have a bad day.
It's got some good torque to it. knocks the bird shit out,
Wow...guys...the fans r so stong (and the vibration of the siren) literally pushes debris out of the siren! Instant start, forever shutdown
yeah sirens are extremely powerful
Tornados sirens have strong air!
What
not sure about the Equinox though, think the intake the same as the SRNB.
0:10 You better run, birdy!
Is this siren on top of a Telephone Pole?
Definitely a good way to wake up the neighbors
Yes your right smaller chopper not as heavy witch means faster wind ups and wind downs.
That poor bird
may i use this video for a bird/siren contemplation? I'll have your username on the video.
♡
The bird and the federal signal tornado siren
I love you DSRX100
sounds like a 2001-130 because the port-ratio
@SgtSavage166 But I do wish there were Whelens! They are more reliable than the new Federal Signal 2001-130s. However 2001-SRNs are not bad though.
So if you add another STH-10A on the top will it look like a 3T22?
Nobody Isn't Here Maybe
Yeah...
ikr.. but idk if anyone here
Look the rust falling off it.
i think its farting out the birds poop. stinky isnt it
No, I think it used to be grey. Either way, I think Huntingburg should repaint their old sirens. They are starting to look kinda rough, especially this one.
Sounds exactly like Heyworth's siren
The bird heard the clicking of the siren so he flew off so he wouldn't hear the siren.
yea sure if it's not too late. Sorry for the late reply, I missed your comment for some reason.
i`m a fan of sirens! i thot i was the only kid who likes tornado sirens!

La da trouble bird!
Mounts are getting loose, shows how much torque siren has.
birds are like nice nothing gonna then birds are like shit. haha lol
So loud the whole thing is shaking!
Dose anybody notice the sth10 and 3t22 are the same but one has one more layer are they siren brothers or twins
yep, made by the same company
basically STH-10s are 3T22s but no Hi-Lo
+Grizzly Bear plus STH-10s are single toned 12-port sirens, and xT22s are dual toned 9/12 port sirens
BOB!theGMObanana +Golden Freddy ya mean
+BOB!theGMObanana *10/12
Siren needs to be stabilized more...its unstabe and unsturdy when it shakes like that
+Ace Lightning I agree, they could adjust it a bit, but I'm pretty sure there are just nuts and bolts holding the head of the siren on.
yeah...but if those things come loose, pretty sure its bye bye siren
Tornado Sirens 101 yeah...but if those things come loose, pretty sure its bye bye sire
Ace Lightning LOL XD
I also heard another siren.

+Grizzly Bear yep
POOR HUMMING BIRD!
100 years old
Arriane Preston Not 100. Around 60 since they were made in the 50s but definitely not 100.
if this siren was 100 years old. it would have been scrapped and replaced by a 2001 130 siren
This model specifically was available from 1959-2003 so technically your wrong
that is a rusty siren.
