Aging with Grace: Understanding Living Options

Studies show that most of us prefer to remain in our own homes as we age, but we may need help to do so or may need to consider alternatives. We will present the different living options for seniors, including considerations for obtaining help inside and outside the home, including approximate costs.
Rabbi Stander is the Community Aging Specialist for HHCI CARES (Caregiving, Aging, Resilience, Ethics, and Spirituality). Prior to joining HHCI in August 2021, he served as a pulpit rabbi, chaplain in both hospital and hospice settings, and ombudsman for long-term care facilities in Harris County. He holds a Master’s in Hebrew Letters from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
