Our Roundtrip to VIGAN, Philippines 12 21 22 2018 MASTER

While recently visiting the Philippines, some family members and I took a drive north of the former Clark Air Force Base, Now the Air Force City/Economic Zone. The journey move west of Baguio, near the former Wallace Air Station. The route runs along the western coastline, through La Union Province, on to Ilocos Sur.
Here are quick shots of our "Extra-Special" journey to historic Vigan, est.1508; It is the beautiful capital of Ilocos Sur province. This wonderful tour was just too darn SHORT.. I just can"t wait to add more recent video clips to this collection of visual candy. 🎥
Despite the torturous 700+ kilometer drive, the highway system of the Philippines truly has developed over the years. I love being of the "Old School." It's a good point of reference for comparing. I recall a 3-hour drive to Subic Bay from Clark; Not anymore! You can do that trip now in as little as 30-minutes.
