  • Alton Brown does NOT like things in his kitchen that only serve one purpose. And since we're all on limited budgets and have limited space, it's not too different for us tractor owners. So we thought we'd look at which attachments we think give you the most bang for your buck in terms of accomplishing more than one task. All of these are suited for a sub-compact or compact tractor, no matter the brand (Kioti, John Deere, Mahindra, Kubota). So have a watch, and see if you agree or if you find your next attachment!

#1 - Pallet forks. I store my idle attachments on pallets and can shuffle them around in my limited space tractor garage. Also stack firewood on pallets, use a pallet to collet sawn logs for firewood, put fabric "pots" on a pallet and move young plants under cover if a frost is forecast. Turn the compost heap. And definately ballest. However you decide to hold it get the bucket lift capacity behind you and also a way to hook some up front for three-point implements without the FEL attached.

Hey Courtney. Closing on a home with 12 acres just north of Flint and I've been researching subcompact and compact tractors for awhile now. I want to say thank you for taking the time to give such detailed videos for us who don't know anything and are trying to learn everything they can before making that purchase. How far north do you deliver tractor with attachments purchases, if at all? Your videos are the highlight of my morning routine. Hope you and your family are well and stay safe.

Just ordered the mirrors and grab handles from Mudd's - Appreciate the discount and looking forward to seeing behind me without twisting in the seat. Also purchased a Frontier Landscape Rake LR5060L. It took a bit to get a handle on it but from the manufacturer I had to make one improvement. Drilling a drain hole in the bottom of the square tube frame as water enters the angle adjustment pinhole and it fills the tube. I had a bout 2 cups of water in mine.

Thank you for making these videos, they're very helpful. We have a small farm and its time to get a tractor. Personally I want a loader backhoe with a thumb, to make mucking out bedding easier on me. But then someone said that if I have the backhoe attachment, that means there is no PTO so I can't use other attachments? We'll need the tractor for mowing pasture, land maintenance, gravel road maintenance, snow removal, moving around 1 ton hay bales, moving around 1 ton feed bags, etc so I'll definately need to have a pto. What say you?
