Good Works Tractors is happy to be sponsored by Rim Guard Solutions! This is perhaps the most well-known ballast brand on the market today. Rim Guard goes right inside your tires, so it's out of the way, it doesn't freeze, and doesn't corrode. It's made from natural materials, so it's safe around livestock and pets if it spills out. Rim Guard liquid ballast adds more weight to the back side of your tractor improving stability, loader performance, and power to the ground. Find your closest dealer at bit.ly/3d0whX0

Awhile back there was a link for wheel/tire kits for sub compact tractors I can’t seem to find it again any help? I looked at the tire link and still can’t find them.
It's always good to see a video from GWT explaining to the customer base why he does what he does. This is where the customer base should be very grateful as it is a lot of work that the end user doesn't have to perform. In the end, saving the saving the customer time and money
I appreciate that. I feel like most of the products I sell really sell themselves. I just get eyeballs on them. The challenge is finding those "no brainer" products out there that check all (or enough of) the boxes such as quality, features, versatility, pricing, warranty, etc. It seems like it'd be easy and I wish it were, but it's quite a challenge to sift through the thousands of manufacturers and products on the market.
This is a great example of customer service right from the start. Researching products that are good quality, good value and reasonably affordable takes a lot of time. It shows that you care about your customers.
I appreciate it L Cee!
Can't please everyone. Doing what you consider to be your honest best to apply your expertise and judgment for the good of your customers AND your business, will help you let the complaints and minor dissatisfactions roll off your shoulders. The world doesn't become a better place if you try to be all things to all people and lose your own love of the work in the process. Keep doing what you're doing, looks good from here!
Hey, thanks for the words of encouragement. Have a good one!
Wish you sold a commercial 4’ lawn roller. 24” tall by approx 4 or 5 feet wide
working on it :)
I love your site,it’s the best I’ve seen, and I have run a lot of different equipment along the way.
It’s great that you keep price point in mind. Gotta look at what’s the best bang for the buck, depending on what customer is using it for.
Appreciate your honesty and candor!!! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
GWT will be working with BEFCO 🥳 ! I have a 12’ Befco cyclone flex wing lawnmower, bought it used and it’s probably 20 years old. But, it runs like a champ and I think it looks higher grade than 2023 models from other manufacturers.
Nice work Courtney!
Sweet, glad to hear it Chris. That's reassuring.
Sounds like the good old stuff to me and you can’t beat that,it’s the best, good for you!!!
It's nice that you're looking out for your customer base
I've got your back!
Pat's quick hitch will work .
In regard to sickle mowers I will say that for clean areas they can mow a lot very quickly. I have a 9ft I and J double action bar and the double action bar really helps provide a clean cut at high speeds. As you mentioned there are lot of areas where they aren't a good option but if you want to mow open areas or have a cheap way to cut hay they are a good way to go in my experience.
Definitely, I've seen them work and they look really effective.
Pond banks are another good use for the sickle cutters
Thank you for this information. I liked this video very much.
Glad to hear it!
interesting to hear your well thought out reasoning on how you pick what not to sell
Thanks for watching John
Great info. Thanks
Thanks for watching Mark
I would be interested in the ballast box prototype as I will be working my tractor on steep hillside most of the time. The idea of off setting the weight would work great.
I’d love to see that roller come out!
Excellent video.
Thank you very much!
Appreciate your honesty and candor!!! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸 19:36
I came across something called a TR3 Rake by ABI Attachments. Seems to be used for field prep as well as driveway maintenance. Do you have any thoughts on it?
Good video! If you would sell the Pat's Quick Change hitch system, it would solved all your quick hitch compatibility problems at a low price. The flail mower you sell would work fine with it.
No thanks, they've asked, I've said no. It does not solve all your quick hitch problems. Pats system is a partial fix at best.
What’s the best mulching attachment that can also till the top of the soil?
Courtney, I’m looking for a combination root rake and grapple combo for my LX2610. I already have a third function and there are so many options out there. It’s main use will be to remove downed limbs and removing thick thorns and honeysuckles on the sides of the woods and lane. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: I’ve never been a big fan of quick hitch attachments. The quick hitch isn’t as universal as it claims to be and you end up having to mess around with it just as much as just hooking whatever attachment you have to the 3 point. But I only use my box blade and tiller with my 3 point, I have a mid mount mower so I don’t have to swap out attachments often.
Lots of options on the grapple for sure. Those Precision are really nice, but pricey. We've got the smaller Worksaver SCG-48 that has been popular for a long time. About half the cost of the Precision.
It’s funny you mention an airport. I used to work at an FBO at a small county owned airport that were responsible for plowing the taxiways and runways. However, we were responsible for getting snow away from the hangar/building and away from the in ground fuel farm otherwise the plow would shear the caps right off. We had a John Deere 2025r I believe and we got all kinds of attachments because we were right down the road from their testing facility. The front mount hydraulic snow blower was great in the winter.
Please don't snowblow my mooney! :)
@@andrewkirch5920 Fortunately we didn’t have nearly any aircraft on tiedowns because there were sufficient private hangars and a generously sized community hangar on the field.
I have converted two implements to ssqa. It's normally about a week and a half job. And that is from someone who went to welding school and has an engineering background. Doing one on a small tractor would be a lot easier. I did mine on a small wheel loader and that was a trick. It would be hard to offer a kit because every machine is so different. I think every one would need to be custom made to the machine, so those would be hard to sell.
MK Martin makes a good ballast box - has tool holders, receiver, and "feet" (to more easily move with pallet forks). Loaded with quikcrete mine weighs in around 550lbs
For me, the thing that stands out is the small amount of weight. 550 lbs is too light for a loaded ballast box. It's paying a premium and getting less out of it.
@@GoodWorksTractors perhaps they have different sizes available, but it was a good "everyday" weight for my subcompact.
I get that SCUTs are your bread and butter, but some wider attachments would be nice. Specifically 72" pine straw rakes, which are less destructive than a landscape rake and wider than the 60" dethatcher you offer. My Yanmar YT347 is 70.6" wide.
I’m on team sickle bar. I’ve got a John Deere #5 I’d love to trade it in for a three point mounted one for sure.
Haha, good to know!
LMC makes some pto spreaders I think are quick hitch compatible. But you may already know.
Yeah, I looked at those awhile back.
I like your channel so much I recently bought a 2025r. I'd be happy to pay more for a good roller for sure. Big fat roller not a 36" one like 60" that heavy. P.S. thank for your quality control. It matters 👍🏻
Awesome, thanks for your feedback Sam!
Chinese attachments are good. My Chinese girlfriend is a super nice ride. Well built. And they don’t eat much. Environmentally friendly. And compact
good segment. how did you put the duals on the 1025R Luke was driving? do you think they help with stability? worth the cost? i like the variety of equipment you carry. Everything i have gotten from you has been great quality stuff with great customer service. Now, it has to be a planned purchase now that I'm on a fixed income.
Yeah, those duals were pretty awesome all around. Spacers will make a big difference though and less stress. The duals have the cool factor going for them, but a bit less practical.
@@GoodWorksTractors thanks for the feedback. I'll have to look into spacers for my 1026R.
The befco and enrossi sickle bar mower are the same . They are expensive but are very good cutters and don't "lay down grass".
The Befco is nearly double the price of the Enrossi. Specifically from an Enrossi owner I was told he got rid of it because it laid down big, ugly sections of grass on his ditch banks.

I just ordered a Funny Top from you yesterday. If you can find a good, large, not terribly expensive, lawn roller I'll be interested, probably next year though.
Definitely working on it, hope I've got one lined up for next year
Looking to buy a stump bucket for my Massey Ferguson, just concerned with receiving it. Live near Syracuse,NY. Want to make sure I receive it and in a timely manner. Just looking for some advice and comment. Thank you!
Hi Rocky, you should have it within a week or so after ordering. You're not that far from Michigan. Hope this helps and thanks for following along.
I would like to find an affordable debris/leaf blower that would fit the 1025r.
Pretty sure in the last video,I saw a couple nice bucks sleeping next to the tree😂❤
What’s your thought on tar River 507 no till drill
My thoughts on Tar River czcams.com/video/2-vAP4JSHTw/video.html
Hey Courtney, are you selling that ballast box prototype?
No, I'll keep hanging onto it for now...for what reason? I don't really know. Sometimes a great idea strikes when I least expect it.
I want a seeder so bad like that kasco. I'd buy
Unfortunately, I've given up on them. Kind of crazy how they just completely ignore me. I guess I should take that as a sign :)
@@GoodWorksTractors they do the same to me. I’ve reached out to them to purchase some products and they don’t respond. I’ve gone to a different manufacturer. Not sure how they stay in business. I just ordered some stuff from you should get it this week. Can’t wait! Keep up the good work!
@@rpmking691 So strange. Thank you for your order JP, hope it treats you well!
SnowVac is probably the best value for a loader snow blower with an engine. 66 inch, 29hp fuel injected and 825lbs and for about 13.5k if you don't have a loader or 10.5k if you do have a loader with ssqa.
Single row potato planter and digger. They are hard to find.
Sounds like you're lookin' out for us!
Doin' my best!
I'd LOVE a SSQA snowblower, but yeah......not at the kind of prices they are offered.
Yeah, sounds awesome until you hear the price!
Anyone have a lead on a tractor attachment that would cut and mulch sagebrush in one step? The sagebrush on my land has thick stalks (1"+ in diameter) and is like tree branches. A typical mower or brush hog would definitely not work as some of the sagebrush is already 5' tall. Preferably, it would need be a quick attach, since you don't want to roll over sagebrush before it is cut down. Ideas?
A Baumalight mulcher is a tool that can do that. Pricey buggers though.
Have you looked into flail mowers? Plenty of videos of people using those to clear 2" diameter brush. Cuts it up real fine too, essentially a rotor tiller made for clearing.
How about Harley rakes for small tractor?
I should have included that. We can get them from Worksaver. I've quoted them from time to time. Way too expensive for most folks, over 10k for the smallest versions.
Is that frontier aerator for sale?
The spreader too! If for sale let me know!
Do you sell any boom flail mowers?
Unfortunately not, sorry
Woods is owned by Agco. I feel Woods products are a real good quality at a mid level price. Not to say there isn't equally good products by other manufacturers at lower prices, but I feel like Woods is a safe purchase.
Woods is owned by Oregon, not Agco…well unless Oregon is owned by Agco and I’m just not aware. www.oregontool.com/our-brands/
@@GoodWorksTractors you are correct, I was mistaken about what I had read. Woods and Massey Ferguson entered into an agreement as to offer their line of attachments through Massey dealers that are painted Massey red and supported by Agco financing programs.
was looking at your tillers is rhino that much better than dirt dog to justify such a difference in price?
Hey Scott, stick with the Dirt Dog. Rhino is basically identical to the Dirt Dog, just more money. I don't even stock Rhino anymore as the Dirt Dog is significantly cheaper and just as good. Hope this helps!
@@GoodWorksTractors thank you!
god i wish you would carry kasco
Mandako makes "mini" landrollers in 6' width. Requires 24 hp min. Not sure about price.
Those look like they cost the price of a nice family vacation 😂
"Salt" and fertilizer work on a broadcast seeder really bad. Does anyone make a stainless steel or plastic adjustment plate? Mine are froze up despite me washing and washing after every use.
Was yours rated for salt and fertilizer? Most are not.
The flail would be much better than the sickle bar.
Your videos havent been showing up in my feed
Strange, I'm not sure why that would be. Sorry!
Why buying from GWT is worth your time. Thanks!
I appreciate it Henry!
i need a roller but i'm getting quotes for over 5 grand
Yeah, lots of those out there, haha!
LAWN ROLLER advice: don't buy o e with sharp edges on the roller. They're a pain when you need to back up, and can cut your turf.
What 20 to 30 thousand for a snow blower, out of your mind
Woods is tied into a specific tractor mfg? First I've ever heard that before. I don't believe that is correct information. Frontier, on the other hand, is a John Deere side brand. Frontier equipment is made by various OEM manufacturing companies, of which Woods is one. But that is correct, Frontier builds nothing. It is simply a brand name.
I can’t sell Woods. They only sell to certain OEM. I’ve tried.
@Good Works Tractors there's a dealer near me that used to sell Mahindra tractors, now only sells Ferris, Exmark, Grasshopper, Stihl. Maybe some other minor stuff. He's a Woods dealer now also as of a little over a year ago. They dropped Mahindra about the same time that they picked up Woods.
I don't like ballast boxes just all the way around they're a waste of a machine although they do put in safety I am about that I always have an attachment on the back being my bagger box blade backhoe rototiller something's always on the back so I can't have a ballast box anyways I'm glad I didn't buy one
