In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Komedie
Every once in a while, Russel Howard gave me this sleeper agent vibe, like he excelles at tasks that require skills that could be put towards assassinating someone.
The darts, throwing a ball into a stump
Yeah, he is perfect if you need to assasinate a bunch of people around a key target 😋
He barely hit the board though. Maybe if he was assassinating a cow from 10m away?
@@billymays9296 Assassinating a cow with darts would take some insane precision and power. You must basically be a human crossbow hitting the literal bullseye at that point
I'll always love Tim Vine rambling about darts, not even trying to be funny, just genuinely passionate
And wasting 4 1/2 of his 10 minutes whilst he's doing so.........
On the swedish version of Taskmaster a contestant had a brilliant solution for this. Same rules. She chose one dart from one meters but after every time she had thrown the dart she got up to the board, collected the dart, went back behind the line, threw it again and carried on like that for 10 minutes! Perfectly within the rules! Loved that solution!
She chose one dart and got like 300 points or something
@@nunneli10 Thank you for the info!
That's flipping brilliant.
that's so smart! The rules don't say you get one throw, or 10 throws, just one/however many darts. That's the kind of stuff I would never catch if I was a contestant.
the swedish version is great!
Alex messing with Alice about the anatomy of a dart was quite funny.
She's one of those contestants that really brings out Alex's fun side

Watching Russell Howard I was thinking "he's gonna have hundreds of points!".... 😂
The editors are geniuses. I love the way they put these things together.
I like the way they leave rule interpretation and loopholes in play..... it's just a pity that a lot of these "celebrities" are either complete morons or just playing up as stupid for the show.
Tim vine being very good at traditional darts then deciding to go for an untraditional throw is like a NBA player going for full court shots instead of free throws.
I was half expecting after revealing how everyone scored that Alex would go: "And the way you score in darts if you start at 501 and subtract what you hit... making our winner Russel with 498 points!"
It’s 301 not 501
@@zonger5787 you can play 301, 501, 701, etc
@@zonger5787 Championship darts plays from 501.
@@zonger5787 imagine arguing about something you have no clue about 🤦🏻♂️
@@mickmccaff04 I mean, they may just be used to playing at 301. Outside of tournament play, there are multiple options for starting points 🤔
Love the jump edits between Tim and Russell, really heightens the amusement comparing those two, er, efforts!
The editing makes this show genius.
you forgot to add the clip of alex introing into the task.
"Now, its time to play some darts!"
*all the contestants groan in unison*
Good thing this wasn't during the season Lee Mack was on. (Lee currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most darts number twos in one minute and for over a year held the most darts in inner and outer bullseyes in one minute)
why did Lee keep going for a darting poo in one minute?
@@Matthew-bu7fg I think there just wasn't a record for that, yet so he thought that's something he could go for.
@@beavisbutt-headson3223 it was for charity

If there is a BAFTA for best editing on a comedy/panel show Taskmaster should win it.
Not just that, the whole set design, staging, presentation, camera work. They get some incredibly good shots and angles for task-based improv. The fact that every couple of seasons they use an entirely different theme so it never gets too dull. The crew of this show are the real stars, and are the best in the business as far as I'm concerned.
@@essidus I think it's Alex Horne's philosophy as much as anything, because I notice the same thing with The Horne Section that I do with Taskmaster. The formula is to do something dumb, and do it really, really, really well. And the formula works brilliantly.
Just when you think Alice Levine can't be any more adorable, this gem pops up.
I'm literally speechless.
It's such a good cross section of British comedy celebrities, it's something for everyone's tastes without anyone overpowering the others.
From being completely oblivious to who Alice Levine is, she has become a big favorite of mine!
They're all awesome in their own way, so it's a big collection of best bits.
If you're not too unconfortable with... sexy stories...definitly check out her "my dad wrote a porno" podcast. Beyond hilarious.
@@siamesebc
I'll look into that, I saw a clip of Alice visiting and talking with "adult actors" for a series I'm not able to see here.
She really didn't seem comfortable with the situation, but she made it through.
one of the funniest russel howard tasks
Everytime I think Greg can't get any more homoerotic, and evey time he proves me wrong 😌
My gut would be go for one dart from one metre, because I'm pretty sure from that distance I could easily lean across and gentle nestle it into the triple 20 😂
The thing is, there was no stated limit to the amount of times you could throw that one dart. You could literally just stand there, lean over and poke it in and out of the bullseye for ten minutes and score thousands of points.
Here’s how I imagine this task going for some other TMers:
- Fielding would go for the regulation three, and get a 140
- Acaster would get a four-figure score with the 60, then chuck the melon in a punk fit a la Howard, and accidentally knock them all out of the board
- Baddiel would go for the single dart, but insist on throwing underarm with the board behind him
And Wilkonson would throw the full 60, manage to play his way round the board in triples and doubles, then replays would show his foot was past the rope.
@@adamrobinson6951 poor man, he just can’t get a break lol
Rhod would rope Alex into playing doubles with him, choose one dart, and have Alex point-blank the other 59 into the board. Somehow, this requires Alex to have taken his pants off.
- Guz would go for the 60 and end up toppling the board through too many hits in one spot, citing its 'lack of stabbability'.
- Osman would find a stake or other sturdy object to fix between the regulation oche and the board, against which he would lean to 'place' all three for 180.
- After ribbing all other attempts, Ardal would vanish for the first eight minutes of his own, before spending the final two minutes chucking all 60 in handfuls of no less than five.
Rhod would have realised the task says nothing about not moving the dart board, and would have taken the dart board to the 10 meter line and placed the 60 darts in like pins
I'm not confident I could hit the dartboard from one meter away.
My worry from one meter would be the dart not sticking to the board.
I'm fairly confident I could hit the board from one metre away.
But then my arms are almost a metre, so I'd just have to lean over a bit.
@@matthewparker9276 Oh, I'm fairly confident I'd hit. My point was more if you aim from that short a distance would you get enough force for the dart to stick.
@@Laislebai Your force only decreases over distance

Should’ve kept their “Let’s play darts!” reactions
This clip has captured the essence whole movie in it. Especially the 10m contestants. The tease that Tim Dillon is already good at darts gets us thinking that for sure he will score high. Then the eventual realisation that most of Tim's darts didnt hit the board and Russell who, at first we thought, wasn't good at darts getting much more darts to hit the board leading us to think that maybe Russell got a higher score. And then the final reveal that most of Russell's darts that hit the board hit the black portion which grants no points while Tim scoring second best. 10/10 Had me gasping at every part.
Just a heads up but it's Tim Vine
Who the Fuck is Tim Dillon?
I loved the opening for this that wasnt shown. Alex says something like "let's play darts!" And everyone facepalms, groans, and looks ashamed
Lisa was very strategic with her games
Good task. If you knew the average score was going to be like 17 you'd go the close throw every time. But in the absence of that info the 60 dart spray is more appealing.
At 8:13 I was really hoping Greg would give Russell 9 sexy points, meaning he was still in last place.
Absolutely love the one guy just belting the darts
"Fuckin' in for a penny..."
My man!
Russell has serious talent lol
Not bad when you consider he's looking in two directions at the same time...... LOL.
Didn’t say you couldn’t move the dart board closer did it? Just move the dart board to the 10m line and use 60 darts at point blank range.
"isn't it a horrible day" .... "thank you" xDD
Any time Russel aces a sporty task, he is so immensely attractive!!
he didn't ace it he came last
This was the first task I ever saw. 🥰
I thought darts was scored by subtracting from 300 or something. Could have sworn this was going to be a trick.
In traditional darts, yes but there's different rules
Wind wasn't a factor for you.
I wonder if dropping the board to the ground and then going for 10 meters would have made more sense.
Alice is just adorable
I remember playing darts on the MV Bridgegate (a bulk cargo ship) during a storm in 2012... that was interesting 😁
Can't believe no one went for 1m but just increased the height of the dart board as it was on an extendy pole - getting you the /highest/ score
Or just throw the one dart multiple times.
Meanwhile Phil Taylor is watching this licking his chops “hun, I think I’m coming out of retirement”
God I love Alice xD
Alice is so sweet in this, so adorable 😊
8:07 This would have been the opportune moment to flashback to the beginning of her clip where she said "obviously i'm not an idiot"
I feel like a missed opportunity was just moving the board closer, Noone said you couldn't just had to throw from behind the lines right?
I would set an unreachable Task Master record by throwing 60 darts from farther than 10 meters out.
stop making me fall for alice again, please😅
It really is unfortunate watching this show
she was drop dead gorgeous when doing taskmaster
i think i love Alice
Modify the dart board by moving numbers around, now the top reads 5,201, any dart in that section and you win, and i would go with 6 dart from 3 meters
I would do great things to be able to be on an American remake Taskmaster
If this was me I’d just miss all the throws on purpose cause in a game of dart you start with a points tally and when you hit the board it removes that amount of points, so by the logic of the game the person who hits the least will be the one with the highest score
“I’m not an idiot, I know the middle is the highest score” oh dear…
... is_a_high_score ...
«No» 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Classic 🤣🤣🤣
I have to admit I probably would have gone for the bullseye/triple 20 with the single dart at 1 metre just to get a solid score.
Just a show with Alice playing pub games, ta.
Alice went from bossing the opening episode to having an astounding lack of darts knowledge. What a fall from grace lol
If I heard correctly, the rules never stated it had to be a set amount of meters away from the dartboard specifically, right? It also never stated you couldn't retrieve your dart(s) and throw them again, so technically you could just go up and throw a bunch of darts from 1 meter away, no?
Yes.
Come on, who was shouting 'pen behind the ear'?
I don’t know why, but I think Alice is exactly my type of girl 😂
A feminist who hates men?
Anyone know the background track playing when Russell was throwing darts?
Ma men!
At my size...I can physically reach the bullseye from 1m away 😂
I 🧡 tm
Now I want to try 60 darts at 10m.
Anybody know where to watch the newest series of taskmaster?
6:25 obviously i'm not an idiot so i know the middle is the highest score 😂 😂
is there a way to watch Season 11 and onwards?
I'm surprised no one took the board off the pole, laid it down on the ground right at the 10m line, and just stabbed 60 of them in to the board, tbh
I'm a bit disappointed no one tried to move the board to the 10 m line and just throw from a 5 mm distance
I would’ve put the dart board up in that tree and thrown one dart from a meter away. Regardless of where it hit, it would technically be higher then any other score on the ground
I kinda wanna move to the UK
Would it work to walk up to the dartboard, lean it towards you, stand behind the line, and carefully PUT a single dart into the triple 20 (or triple 19 if easier)? I think if you were the only single-dart player, Greg might let you have it for creativity.
This was posted months ago. By your channel.
I'd go 1 for 1 and go for the triple 20
I would put the darts in the target, take the target, stand behind the furthest line and throw the target with the darts .
Shouldn't you just not throw any darts or miss it on purpose? Since darts start at a high score and get lowered as you land on numbers, the highest possible score would be to not actually land on the dart board.
British people not knowing the rules of darts is like fish not knowing how to swim.
I don't think the comedians are working class enough.
We play plenty of darts here lad
@@theserhoratio that's my point...
"I know the middle is the high-score" ouft, didn't even get that right >.
If you don’t play darts, I think that’s a fair assumption to make.
Oh totally, I wasn't judging her, I just felt bad that the one piece of knowledge she *thought* she had was useless.
Alice is gorgeous.
Darts is like golf, where your score gets lower when you get points. So to actually win this challenge, just miss the board.
I am Alice in this. I still don’t think we learned what the hat bit is called.
Thing is the dartboard was on an extending pole, throw the dart in and raise the board, doesn't matter the score as it would be the highest, I was expecting that the be what Alice did and the rest would swear and be jealous.
Alice in the rain was right to go for 1 dart. Especially if she had never thrown a dart in her life.
❤❤❤Alice❤❤❤
She's pretty but that's all. Neither pleasant nor talented nor committed.
@@bethanylowe8773 Did you just say *_Alice Levine_* isn't pleasant!?
Bro what sad, dark hole do you live in? Is there anything I can do to help you escape??
Thank you to Alice's parents for creating this unique beauty
_Tho kind of dum but ok_
I would just move the board higher then there’s no way to get the a score higher cuz the score was in the highest position
at the three minute mark i thought the twist was gonna be that in some darts you count down so the lesser number winns, or that its the highest physicaly located score, so it's the small box below the number 20 that is "the HIGHEST score". ^^
some of yall trying way too hard
Alice is so beautiful...
she was stunning on taskmaster
Can you take the numbers off dartboards? If you could just change the numbers
"I'm not an idiot, so I know the middle is the highest score" she honestly has no clue about how darts work, the confidence in saying something completely wrong is hilarious.
Alice Levine is very cute.
She's a feminist
@@jimmyreece5781 and
@William Reid Men don't desire women who try to belittle them.
1 meter away. You can reach that with your arm right xd just put it into triple 20 and hope nobody else beats it
Your arm is a meter long?
I know I would've done the 10 meter but it would've hurt to know I could've done the 1 meter and won 😂
Darts is a race to 0 right? So a high score is what you start with and you work your way down, so to get the highest score in darts, just do nothing.
For the multiple darts I thought they would have to throw them all at once
didnt say nothing about not being able to move the board
just take the board put it infront of the 60 and just throw them from less than a metre away easy win
I would have taken the 30 from 10m, no matter the outcome, I would have loved to throw 30 of them over that distance
alice is adorable isn't she lmao
im not gonna lie i wouldve throw all 60 of them darts and with my luck into the wind. thenafter i did all that i would e realized wait i couldve used ghe 1 dart from 1meter and stab that triple 20..... yup
Watched this and told my gf the 60x darts from 10m is easily the best option, estimating i could hit about 1/5 darts. She had no faith so we bet on it and i bought a darts board. We took it to a park and hung it on a tree. I ended up scoring 194 points with 10/60 darts hitting the board. Expected value for a dart hitting the board is somewhere around 12-ish points, so on average you just need to hit ~5x darts in order to get 60 points. Massage felt great :)
... I mean when you score darts you count down to 0. So wouldn't the "highest" score be the one who got the least amount of points?
Bit late but in a game of 301, yeah. The point is to hit 301 points exactly. If you go over, you've lost, and the last shot has to be a double (in the outer ring)
There's a bunch of ways to do it, but I don't think this task specified the type of game.
Are we sure Alice is an adult and not a body swapped toddler?
They are so close to the dart board thats crazy i was hearing 10 meter 7 meters like nope how about 7 feet
Well to win dart you are going to REDUCE your score so if you chose 1 from 1 meter away and threw it in the grass u'd win
