Student Bodies: Home to the original 'Kill Count'!
I remember you had to reupload it before, or a similar movie. Whoever's forcing you to, if that be the case, Lemme' at 'em.
Blame Paramount and not quite understanding of the Fair Use exception to copyright laws.
Jesus, a double re-upload. This copyright claims are a pain.
Only along the punchline `when #BrandonTenold is the one spicing it up with his style of moderation!´.
Don't tell JAJ that 🤣
Still waiting for "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenhooker"
This dude ranks #1 for me when it comes to snarky movie reviews! 100 thumbs up
Agreed!
Yess love the sass. Haha. You rock Brandon
100 SEVERED thumbs up.
I watched this 20 years ago one night with my future brother-in-law. We laughed so loud we woke up everyone. I had forgotten all about this movie! Thank you! 😁
My dad and I watched it on a pay by the month cable movie channel. Sometimes Malvert P. Redd. Which is my pseudonym.
Gotta love how copyright holders strike down reviews which are under fair use yet leave entire full episodes of shows like Spongebob up and do nothing about it. Nice standards there Viacom.
Viacom? Heh. I could have sworn it was Toho copyright claiming a movie they don't own out of pure spite.
@@mightyfilm Eh, both are rabid when it comes to copyright takedowns of YT videos. I've been on YT for years, Viacom was a fucking monster back in the day. If you uploaded a CZcams Poop of Spongebob, your channel was as good as dead.
@@Duncaster Oh, I know ALL about Viacom's takedowns and shady copyright traps. They went so far as to take down anything that so much as had a network screenbug, and they were the scourge of Sesame Street clip preservation back in the early days of CZcams. Still, with this channel, if Brandon so much as drank a glass of water, Toho would copyright claim it because water was in the Godzilla movies.
more like viacunt
@@mightyfilm And I thought Viacom used to be a high tech company, and now they're just a big tech (copyright mob) corporation.
5:20 The funniest joke in the whole movie was at the beginning of this scene and involved these cheerleaders. They were performing a chant at the funeral which went something like:
"Gimme a boo! Gimme a hoo" Gimme a boo,hoo,hoo!"
I know right!. 😂.
Sorry but my favorite joke of this entire movie is:
"hmm chicken... hmmmm broken" when the dad returns home to find the chicken on the ground 4:54
When the film ran on television, I was so disappointed that they simply left out the man-behind-the-desk scene. They obviously should have had him say, "the producers of this film have asked me to say, [BLEEP]", with a bar reading "EDITED FOR TELEVISION" flashing across his mouth.
Fun Fact: Toby is the girl in J. Geils Band's "Centerfold" video that everyone thought was Martha Quinn.
Oh wow! She was a much better actress in the Centerfold video.
@@dali141965, it would’ve been interesting if there was a sleep over dance number sequence with the song playing. And that’s what the movie would’ve been more remembered for.
Most people remembe the heavy breathers on the phone from the 1980s.
I love how any chance he gets to take a jab at Queen Kong he takes it
The Body Count, the meta cliches, the killer’s monologues, “my rubber chicken” and “Who was that? It was Chicken lips..” This movie was was f***in hilarious. Loved this movie as a kid. Thanks USA Up All Night!!
This movie taught me the value of the R-rating, and what it takes to get one.
I think the MPAA conceded and let them have the rating they were after because technically even that scene doesn't qualify for an 'R'.
Fun Fact: I interviewed Joe Flood for my film guide. It was great!
Don’t be so formal. Call me, Daddy.
Creepy level 9,000 unlocked!
You know, I saw this movie in the theatre.
Favourite line that I still use when climbing double sets of stairs at work: “All these stairs. There’s so many of them.” I feel like an axe murdered.
Gotta hate copyright strikes. Nice to see that your channel is still up though
Same
Of all the videos to call copyright on...Student Bodies? Why?
CBS?
@@Talisguy At least it's not Toho.
Only found this channel a week or so ago, between all the copyright strikes and CZcams's prudish nature I'm surprised that it's doing as well as it is. Brandon's far from the edgiest creator but I'm glad he doesn't feel the need to self-censor. Of course the black boxes will always be necessary but it's a bit disappointing how much other channels in this sphere neuter their language and gore. CZcams (and the copyright holders) gotta chill out.

Saturday the 14th, Pandemonium, Wacko and Class Reunion are all just... un-bearable, *but Student Bodies is the only horror parody I love!*
I feel the exact opposite. Saturday the 14th and Student Bodies were unbearable for me.
I first saw this movie several years ago and loved it. It still makes me laugh to this day.
My brother and I have been fans of this movie for years. Thanks for pointing out all the meta-bits.
That janitor guy is the scariest thing in this movie.
I loled at the principal chasing after her in the trash can
3:42 - That has got to be the scariest fake out scare in this video
Can we get this man 1 million subs already, way overdue
I didn't know Toho owned this movie
No, it's Viacom. They're even more notorious for copyright striking
@Jojoforpres thank you
@@thatonea-hole Viacom is worse i just didn't feel like mentioning them, but i guess it's to late
2:44 maybe that's why?
I loved this movie as a kid, The Breather was & still highly underrated slasher killer 😂😂😂
An early 1980s spoofing the slasher horror craze that would gained so much traction in the 1980s.
There was a time (memory fuzzy) but close to this time when it seemed to me, EVERY movie was a parody. I liked horror shows and got so exasperated one time saying "Eventually you have to have an actual horror movie instead of another parody". In reality, I grew up in Western ND and was likely censored with theater owners not showing real horror shows. So, there seemed to be a horror spoof time.
"Don't be so formal, call me 'Daddy.'" lol!
That thumbnail and movie cover get me every time.
As long as there are enough good jokes and you laugh. This one had enough good jokes and I laughed. Plus Toby was very cute.
Malvert was a comedy actor named The Stick bc of his unusually thin physique
Man, I'm sorry you've had to reupload lately, but these are really good videos, so I'm happy to watch again anyway.
Indeed. Worth rewatching. 👍
I saw this in the theater and enjoyed it. Like you said horror spoofs weren’t a thing then so the self-awareness wasn’t yet done to death. It started with the “This movie is based on a true story ...” statement which was a clever bit. I, too remembered Stacie’s breasts and the fact that she told people they were a disguise. When she squeezed them they made a squeaky balloon sound. I never understood the janitor’s arms and I don’t want to!
Oh yeah, the janitor freaked me out. Still does when I see him. Those arms and legs......
I'm a sucker for visual gags that might take a a second watch to catch and the layered clothes with increasingly aggressive NO buttons at each layer on Toby is hilarious.
Yea me too, it took me a couple times to notice the buttons
damn you brandon.. i thought this seemed familiar.. a reupload. you got my hopes up. youre lucky i dont mind rewatching your videos from time to time.
The hands bursting out from the grave jump scare actually worked on me just now; despite me seeing the review last time it was uploaded. 😲😂
Same
I assume that was making fun of the ending of "carrie"
yep I am not happy with that
He doesn't mention the very last scene is a parody of Carrie. I'm surprised
I think the "i would've gone with a Shining parody" line was him acknowledging it without outright saying it
Would love to see Brandon review Saturday the 14th. “Wow, look at all these owls”
Loved this movie when I was a kid !!! Melvin had me rollin in it🤣🤣
Round three upload lmao
Ironic that Paramount flags the most iconic part of the film., in a mostly forgotten slasher. It’s been sampled a lot.
1:12 It also sounds like a porno.
2:42 That's some next level 4th-Wall breaking.
5:19 If there's a kink to shame someone for, that would be it.
6:04 ALL the '80's girls, in '81? This movie was way ahead of its time!
Let’s try this again.
Another re-upload? Who would have thought someone cared about Student Bodies enough to do two copyrights strikes on this video.
Took their sweet time too.
But not everyone has their finger on the YT pulse like ToHo
Paramount made the movie, and Paramount is owned by Viacom.
Paramount/CBS/Nickelodeon/MTV/Viacom is known for being copyright strike-happy especially when it comes to SpongeBob.
Why not? It's a studio film. You want surprising? I had a channel that was taken down by the owners of "The Bloody Video Horror That Made Me Puke on My Aunt Gertrude". A film so obscure it had no Google hits before I uploaded it. Years ago, people on forums would accuse me of making it up when I was hunting for a copy!
@@zmbdog Lol wow man. Web-cred to you there then.
Malvert The Janitor AKA The Stick steals every scene he is in
"I should kill the guy with the gum" made me laugh.
I won't lie, the final scene in the movie made me jump-
Brandon should review Transylvania Twist
Have you seen the movie "SQUIRM"
After going through some of your older uploads when I watched the "SLUGS" one it reminded me of this movie...Great content and love your movie selections 👍
5:20 I don’t know why but that makes me laugh so hard
Sees Brandon has uploaded.
*Happiness noises*
Sees it's a re-upload.
*Sadness noises*
I shit you not Brandon. An ad came up right after the guy at the parade said “Come on baby. The floor may be hard but I’m soft.” and it said “Nobody likes floppy things.” while a guy was flopping a gun belt back and forth. The timing was perfect. In case of doubt the company is We The People and they were selling tactical gear or something. That made me laugh as much as the movie joke. Happy little accident. Something similar happened when I was a kid. Back when they spun records the radio was playing the song In a Big Country (I’m old) and the record starting skipping and for at least 45 seconds my radio played “In a big cunt” about 40 times. It straightened out before I could get a blank tape in to record it. Bygone days.
Hysterical was another 80s comedy horror movie.
The ending is similar to the original CARRI horror movie🤣🤣
Wow. I loved this movie. A slasher who wears golashes all the time. I love it! "I said, keys!"
Thank you for producing content Sir!
When people talk about Horror/Comedy/Spoofs the one that always gets overlooked is Hysterical (1983) , It's pretty funny stuff.
11:15 Good one! And I agree. Sometimes YT just suggests their videos to me at random.
Was that the girl from Daigon?
Man with so many product placements of Dr. Pepper through out the movie, the soda should have gotten a screen credit,
I saw this as a young kid on USA Up All Night.....i think i was 8 and was actually scared a bit by it lol
Best line of the movie:
Shop teacher: "Come on, you don't wanna kill me. I'll teach you how to make a horse head bookend. Do you read?"
Breather: "Only smut."
We just watched Black Christmas for our weekly monster/horror film--the ending left the group divided!
Horsehead bookends. Horsehead bookends. This was one of my favorite movies along with The Groove Tube and Kentucky Fried Movie.
Re-like ... We holding you down in SoCal.
Live. Live. Be. Believe.
"I'm going to kill the kid with the gum!"
Silly for sure. Saw this a long time ago, early 90s I think in college. Not great but fun.
Didn't know this got pulled.
This is a classic example of how to make that's all over the map but is funny af. My favorite line of dialogue is ,"Hold still while I kill you!"
Brandon could you review "Exterminator City" a sci-fi film in which a robot turns serial killer, and is pursued by a tough-guy detective robot?
The movie's cast includes the legendary B-movie actress Julie Strain.
Student Bodies is one of those movies that nobody knows when I bring it up out in the wild, while as a kid in the 80s I must have seen this movie dozens of times.
Instead of saying good-bye at the phone I still say, "click" to this day.
Love these!
*THIRD TIMES THE CHARM!!!*
It’s so dumb how Godzilla vs mothers keeps getting taken down like what is it the 3rd/4th time now?
It’s understandable that Toho is trying to protect its cash cow moneymakers.
12:57 - The janitor's legs are still hilarious.
Michael Ritchie was horribly inconsistent, but god, did he direct some absolute gems. I love SMILE and his 1993 HBO film on the Texas Cheerleader attempted murder plot with Holly Hunter and Beau Bridges
"Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza"
- Michelangelo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
OK, I understand Toho trying to protect their money making IP.
Overly aggressive and touchy maybe, but understandable.
Who in the sweet and salty hell at Paramount is worried about protecting the delicate legacy of this steaming pile of "technically a movie?"
Well, the fact that Viacom’s also protecting SpongeBob is somewhat understandable, as the character is the company’s main brand.
Damn executives at Viacom!!
To make it more understandable, I think it’s because Spongebob is their main long term brand now.
Again check out Silence Of The Hams with Billy Zane and Dom De Louise. It's not exactly brilliant but it has good moments and John Austin is in it.
That one and Mafia were some of my earliest spoof flicks along with Leonard and Naked Gun
I used to have this movie on VHS in the 80's.
Every Friday or Saturday night I would have friends over and we
would watch weird movies, usually over and over again.
This was a regular movie we'd watch.
I think it's a Classic.
BTW, Clutch is a great band.
Re-upload #3? I think?
"What is the a Lord of the Rings movie? END already!"
Well said.
2:58: The dog says, "Meow!" The pig says, "Quack!" The cow says, "Squeak!" The elephant says, "(fart noise)" The gorilla says, "(vomiting noise)"
3:28: EEEEEEWWWW!!!!!
4:25: Apparently, the Breather is a big fan of ASMR
5:01: The first kill count ever made
5:35: Knock, knock! Who's there? Charlie! Charlie who? Charlie Horse!
5:57: That, or someone trying to cosplay as Blade
6:09: The horse head bookend legion
6:43: The Breather is a pervert
7:41: Big Bird looks like a woodpecker
8:14: This movie predicted the usage of the eggplant emoji for....inappropriate reasons
9:59: That....sounds wrong
10:45: His date is a blow-up doll?
11:00: What kind of football game is this?
11:31: It could be worse....What if it's crack?
12:09: Eh, just use random nursery rhymes from CZcams Kids to substitute that. Kids will love it anyways. Why not have the characters sing, "Johnny Johnny Yes Papa" or "Finger Family" in thick Indian accents?
12:20: THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR TELEVISION
14:08: The Breather killed her with an old school action cartoon?
14:55: And he probably watches hentai!
15:57: Death by marbles? Take note, Wet Bandits!
And speaking of Queen Kong, still waiting for Brandon to review Konga, Konga TNT, The Mighty Gorga, and Ape vs. Monster.
The chicken says (sultry moaning noise)
I loved this film! I remember opening the newspaper to the arts section and seeing the ad with the student and the megaphone stuffed in her mouth and begged... BEGGED my parents to take me to see it! But the R rating kept me from seeing it since I was 12 and they weren't sold on me begging to see a horror film at that age. I was so pissed off when I saw it on VHS years later and found out why it was rated R.
I’ve seen I Wonder Who’s Killing Her Now. It’s terrible. I love it!
Like Lazarus it has returned
"What is this....LOTR movie?" 😆
I low key wanna see this movie tho 😂
Brandon, you review some parodies but what about a tribute? 'Zone troopers' is a good movie that deserfes a review from you abd is a very rare thing: a lovingly made tribute to a lost genre. Check it out sometime.
this is my second horror parody next to shriek if you know what I did last Friday the 13th, which I see shriek as a more modern version of this film, both are very stuble with their humor and didn't rely too much on shock humor
I saw this movie when I was 10 years old and had always been kinda curious about watching it again.
Thanks for saving me the trouble. 👍
Dejavu again
Maybe the killer played Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Atari 😂
What can I say about Student Bodies that I haven't said two times already?
Third times the charm!
OK I was 12 when I saw this on HBO and yes we laught our faces off. A few years later abunch of us watched it again stoned and it was even more hilarious. Now watching it yes its still funny
Wow, three minutes after posting, already fifty likes! Impressive!
*MOST IMPRESSIVE*
Does Toho own Student Bodies too? Another reupload lol
Fortunately, Toho does not really own it. It’s Viacom who owns it.
Student Kennies
Hey. I know that band. Shogun named marcus is my top fav followed by firebirds, ghoul wrangler, and psychic warfare.
I think your idea that this influenced scream has merit
So are the many STI epidemics, plus the serial human perverts and (more unusually) koalas who carry them around.
Kevin Williamson seems like he just copied and pasted
That flick was great
I love this movie, just excellence
huh i was wondering where this video went
