- while the Bowflex is a really good home gym option, and I do love it, eventually you'll find things you might not like or just don't do what you want. in this video I'll show you two DIY mods I did on mine to give me a better workout. if you do these please buy the right materials to hold the weight you do. you def don't want a snap back while your benching.

Great pully mod and thanks for sharing. I have a bad shoulder so getting into bench press position is uncomfortable for me. Just purchased a used ultimate 2 with extra accessories and accessory rack for $100 in excellent condition. I rented a truck for a couple of hours which was worth it to me to not have to disassemble. Well worth the $50 to bring it home. I am really enjoying this so far.
Ditto. This is why I did this. I have a certain issue that causes inflammation in my joints and linings and this saved me a lot of pain. Have you tried tumeric by chance for your shoulders?

@@metaltracker1723 I take pills. Took 2 years and the doctors were going to go in and just snips the nerve to stop the pain in each shoulder but I decided to do my own research and no kidding it was life changing for me. No reason to go under a knife when nature has its own remedy. Try it. I really do hope it works. Tumeric is very good for inflammation. I have a co worker that juices it.

I have this same bowflex and was looking to add more resistance. Can you send me the link to which bands you went with? I would like to add the same bands to my bowflex. What size holes did you have to drill to add the eye bolts for the resistance bands? Thanks in advance

@@evilnick2885 Thank you for the quick response! I was wondering if I only used one side of the bowflex do you think I could loop the resistance band through the eye bolt and then back to where the top of the rods are would the band be too long? I saw in your video that you have the band going through the eye bolt and then to the other side but what would you do if you want to use just one side of the bowflex for a tricep pull down excerise, for example? I didn't know if you could loop the band together on the same side or if the band would be too long. I usually do a lot of my exercises on one side of the machine unless I was doing a chest press or something.
i HAVE ONE OF THESE AS WELL AND HAD TO DISASSEMBLE IN ORDER TO MOVE IT. I THINK I HAVE THE CABLES MIXED UP AND I CAN'T MAKE SENSE OF IT. THE MANUAL IS NOT TOTALLY CLEAR EITHER. DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A VIDEO OR SOMETHING THAT I CAN FOLLOW TO REROUTE THESE CABLES? THANKS
Not really but I could make you a video of mine if it helps. I know you can find the manual online as I did a while ago and printed it. I'll help somehow if needed.
