Test Ride on KTM 250SX - Two Stroke

- I test rode @mxoudi 's 2018 KTM 250 SX. It was WAY faster than I expected it to be. It felt like a rocket ship. I rode a Husky FC450 earlier the same day and the 250sx felt so much faster. It was light and the power came on instantly. It sounds a little lean so we will bigger jets in it the next time we ride. Thanks for watching.

@@JokersWild70 suspension, plastics, grips, hand guards, seat cover, and a thinner tire. But he helped me jet the carb and get it right because it was awful initially

I rode a modern day 250 2t and I said the same things those things pull hard and they're scary they're not for the inexperienced riders
Did this still have the stock exhaust on it? Did you make any jetting changes? What changes would you make to it for the long run? Which map were you using? Thanks! Looks like a fun track 🤘
i had the same feeling of you when i tested my buddy 18 250 sx, it felt so fast compared to my 20 350sxf but he said the opposite when he rode my 350 lol ! so i guess its just a mental thing
Once u get into a 250 two stroke is hang on lol, I actually like the older kx500s as u get massive torque and you can keep it in 3rd and 4th on most tracks, those modern yz250s with 500 big bore kit is totally insane power, four stroke are good at higher speeds but two stroke so light and better imo

I want to downgrade from a 450 to a 250, I guess this msy not be the right direction. I LOVE 2 strokes, the dyno says 57 horsepower, which is the same as a fast 450. Ft lbs of torque is 21, 450 is 33.
Anyone recommend a 2 stroke over a 450 for an older MX'er? My last 2 stroke was a 2002 Honda CR 250R

Exactly! Kinda surprised how much faster it felt than my KX250. I'm gonna be slapping on some power mods and a better rear tire on my KX asap.

Faster with Honda crf 450
2 stroke's will always be way more fun than 4 stroke's. 4 stroke's may be faster but I don't give a fuck about the my bikes faster than your bike bullshit. Unless you race it's supposed to be fun not a competition. I don't get the 4 stroke fanboy's that love to hate on 2 stroke's just cuz 2 stroke's are slower than the modern 4 stroke's. They prolly never even riddin a 2 stroke a day in their life's. 2 stroke's not only are more fun but they just sound way better and smell way better too. 4 stroke's just sound like fart's. Sorry 4 stroke fan's.
