- Here is a little journal I made for a swap on JJJ. It was to be made with a children's book cover and we were to use wires or rings to bind them. I used a lot of vintage kid's books throughout. Enjoy the tour!
I love love love this!! Whoever receives this will be absolutely thrilled with it!!
Absolutely love this book. So well done. Thanks for sharing!
Such a fun book! Yes, spending time going back in time to your smash books and junk journals!!
Thanks for watching my oldies!
Your book is just amazing!Seeing all the illustrations brought back lovely memories of my childhood. I would love to attempt to make one of these books...someday lol. Thanks so much for sharing!
+Pearl Supernault They are really fun to make, and there are no rules (unless you are making one for a swap!).... so just jump right in and try it. You get better as you go, and seeing the videos other crafters make gives you great ideas. Good luck.
Love, love, LOVE it Diane!! Beautiful work as always!! Your swap partner will love it for sure!! TFS!!
I love this. The Winnie the Pooh is great and I was born in 1961 so it really made me happy to see the library card check out register. Just so nice. All the best Terrie
+Merry Terrie Thanks, Terrie. I miss having library cards and getting them stamped!! it's all computerized now. such a shame!
Love this journal
Absolutely love this journal. I got several ideas of what to do with some old children's dictionaries and the school strips. I have many old children's books to make a journal. Your video has given me the push to make some. Thank you! Wonderful journal!

What a gorgeous journal! Love all the bright images you found from childrens books and how you incorporated them to be pockets or pages or tags. It looks so good!

+Melanie Barnes Thank you, Melanie.
Lovely journal!!!
Your vintage children's items are just perfect! I HAVE to start making some of these!!!! Sandy
It's beautiful
Absolutely delightful! What a fabulous children's journal! I thoroughly enjoyed the flip and am inspired to make one myself. I love everything about children's books. I have collected many over the years. What I appreciate about you is your willingness to use original papers. I think I have to save everything but I really don't! I'm always burdened with this desire to collect vintage images and then hoard them. What good is that? Who gets to enjoy them if they are stuck in a box or file folder tucked away in a shed somewhere? Thank you for your share. Makes me wish I had participated in the swap.
+Wildroses I know what you mean. I have a tendency to want to save everything for just the "right" project, but I have gotten better about using what I have. Thanks so much for watching.
Very nice!
Your journal is amazing! So much fun... just have to make some of these.
Thank you. I am glad you feel inspired.
I just had to get my"Diane" junk journal fix tonight. Lol. Hi girl. I somehow missed this when you first put it up. Wow. It is an amazing little book. Very nicely done. You're such a great collage artist and I'm ready to start creating again. I've missed it. Thanks again for your inspiration. Hugs my friend and God bless you
Hi, Leigh! I've been creating again, too. At first I could only "play" for a very short time. I began feeling anxious and sad and I just couldn't do it anymore. But that was true of just about anything. Cooking, exercising, even cleaning. I just hated doing anything "normal" because my life is so far from normal! I still feel that way, but I can function for longer periods of time. My creative projects have been smaller and not "pressured" if you know what I mean. I hope that you are doing okay since the loss of your step father. I think of you often. Hugs.
PS: I love that you said you had to get your "Diane" JJ fix!! You're funny
I have the set of books from which the front cover was made. I refuse to get rid of my Golden Book collection although my baby girl is 19 years old. I enjoy reminiscing with these children's book junk journals. TFS
i love vintage children theme! im thinking about making one of these but i find it hard to get hold of old childrens books where i live. i am in love with your book though :)
This is so beautiful! I love all the vintage book pages, and the way you put it all together 💕
Really cute! Love the vintage look! You did a great job!
This is a wonderful journal Diane! Brought back so many memories as you were turning the pages. Really nice! Thanks for sharing! Christy
❤❤❤
Love it!
Great work thanks for sharing
This is great
Where did you get your lined stamp to stamp lines?
I believe it is from Stampin' Up.
Watching your videos sooth me lol. Do you ever do Disney themed?
Thank you Crystal. I'm glad you enjoy my videos. I don't do Disney themed journals because the Disney Corporation is very strict about their copyrights.
@@DianeHubertPrettyPinkCottage Ohhh makes sense. It's too bad. Seeing all your videos, I bet you'd make incredible ones 😊❤
What is JJJ? I would love to participate in a swap like this! I teach Kindergarten and would love to make or receive a book like this! Amazing!
+Under The Turtle Shell Junk Journal Junkies is a group on Facebook. It really is fun to do the swaps, and also to have a chance to see the journals that other group members make. Check it out!
Thank You!
Do you sell these or do custom orders? love this!
+Retro Christmas Chic I have sold books in a little shop in my town. And I sold a couple of books to someone who contacted me via CZcams. I would like to set up an etsy shop but am a little nervous about it. I am not very computer savvy! Thank you for your comment. I do have lots more kids books pages I could make more of these journals.
+Diane H. I completely understand what you mean! that said is there a way to contact you direct about making one for me?
+Retro Christmas Chic I am trying to figure out how to private message from CZcams. I did it before with the other person who wanted to buy a book from me, but now I can't find how I did it!! If you can private message me, I will give you some info to contact me!
+Diane H. Hi, I just researched how to do it but still not able to send a message to you. It said...
