    I actually made a sideblog for lesbian/bi/pan book recommendations of all genres sapphicliterature.tumblr.com/ since most "popular" lgbtq books tend to be about gay men and not wlw, and are focused on coming out. and I'm also trying to find books with trans lesbians too since those are literally nonexistent unless you dig deep into depths of the internet to find them lol. I also try to find books with women of color as protagonists since, most tend to be about white people too.

    Love these recommendations! I've read a lot of these but I think it's great to have some lesser-discussed LGBT books with a spotlight!

  • @thelibrarianofalexandria6200

    Great video. always love underrated videos like this, seems like "everyone" "always" recomends the same books its nice that other books get talked about too.

    great list, but it's best to say 'is' instead of 'identifies as' when it comes to gender and sexuality. i know it's more popular to say 'identifies as' but a lot of lgbt people, including me, feel like it implies our orientatiom/gender status is a choice rather than something we just are (also, intersex is a medical condition, not something you really 'identify' as - its like saying 'i identify with having a genetic disorder' which sounds iffy). still a great video.

    Cool list. From these, I’ve read The Spellbook of the Lost and Found and Radio Silence. I’ve liked them both very much. I also enjoyed Wild Beauty and Of Fire and Stars.

    Great video! Quite a few books I hadn't heard of before actually! Might have to add a few of them to my TBR...
    And a few days I've actually ordered Noah Can't Even, so I imagine I'll be reading that quite soon as well :)

    Not sure if you guys have heard of it, but there's a book called Peter Darling in which Peter Pan lives as Wendy Darling in the real world, but escapes to Neverland when it becomes to difficult to keep living a lie, so Peter's a FTM transgender teen/adult (not sure which!) who may or may not have a love interest in Captain Hook ;)

    Omg I didn't know The Big Lie had a f/f romance either! It's been on my TBR for so long and I find the concept so intriguing but now it's definitely higher on my list!

    i recommend riley redgate's book. seven ways we lie has a pan mc which is mentioned on page and her second book, noteworthy, is about a girl who cross dresses and has incredible discussions on gender.

    The mm relationship isn't between the main character is because you'll never meet me but it does involve one of them and He does come out to the other main (Ollie) about his sexuality first and he is very accepting.

    I think you will both really like the LGBTQ+ book 'The Art of Being Normal'. It focuses on a transgender boy and his friends. It is a lovely book about frendship that has a massive plot twist 😊

    My favourite EVER trilogy has some LGBTQ aspects. It's the All Souls Trilogy. I like it for the straight relationship more but it definitely has a lesbian relationship as well as a gay character.

      The All Souls Trilogy starts with A Discovery Of Witches and is by Deborah Harkness.

    I am glad for your recs, but you do know intersex is a medical condition right, it's not exactly something you can "identify as." You just sort of are.

    • @purplekitten6637
      @purplekitten6637 Před 5 lety +1

      Yes, I noticed it too. I think she confused the term intersex with intergender or bigender.
