EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ CARRY ON BY RAINBOW ROWELL!!! It is amazing for teens and younger lgbt members. It doesn't completely focus on gay relationships but it is just so casually thrown in there and i love it so much

i literally just finished reading ‘Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe’ and all i could say is wow. like no wonder the book got many awards. it is wonderfully written by Benjamin Aline Sáenz. i HIGHLY recommend this book. at first, i was kinda bored due to the fact that i was waiting for there romance to blossom. but i continue reading and i just can’t stop. i fell in love. i REALLY recommend this book to all of you who’s looking for a book to read. i’m just really really really head over heels for this book.

It's average at best
just read Artistole and Dante discover the secrets of the universe from your recommendation. it made me weep when he got the envelope. I loved Ari and his lack of communication skills I thought it was beautifully handled. I have this book is gay as well which I'm looking forward to going through. love this list lots to explore 😄

I’m in love with Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I finished it for the first time a couple days ago, and I’m currently re reading it because I’m just so obsessed with it 😂 I can’t wait for the sequel and the movieee!

I'm just gonna list off all the LGBT books I've read. So... they're all G books actually, so giving them that label seems inappropriate. These are all of the gay books I've read:
_Timekeeper_ by Tara Sim. Absolutely fantastic, highly recommend it to everyone.
_Wonders of the Invisible World_ by Christopher Barzak. It's best to go into it with no expectations so I'll say nothing.
_History is all You Left Me_ by Adam Silvera. It will make you cry, but it will make you really happy.
_Proxy_ by Alex London. Exciting and heartbreaking.
_Willful Machines_ by Tim Floreen. Oh boy... _Willful Machines_ is an odd cookie. It's amazing but it has the worst ending ever with almost no plotlines resolved and we have no concrete news on the sequel. I'd wait until we know more before you get it because the disappointment I felt when it was over was so heavy.
I've only read two chapters of Nora Sakavic's _The Foxhole Court_ but so far it's amazing.
_Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard_ and _The Trials of Apollo_ by Rick Riordan both feature bi/pansexual main characters, as well as several other LGBT characters.
I've also read all of _Half Bad_ (_Half Lost_ destroyed me) but you already mentioned that so...
Special mentions for non-LGBT books with gay side characters:
_The Raven Cycle_ by Maggie Stiefvater. They're prominent but they aren't the main two.
_The Darkest Part of the Forest_ by Holly Black. Same deal here.
_The Shadowhunter Chronicles_ by Cassandra Clare (most notably her new series _The Dark Artifices_). And here.
The _Six of Crows_ duology by Leigh Bardugo. And again here.
_The Heroes of Olympus_ by Rick Riordan. This character is slightly less prominent, but his later appearances in _The Trials of Apollo_ make up for it.
The last one is not explicit in the text, but according to Jonathan Stroud, spirits would consider the relationship Bartimaeus had with Ptolemy, Nathaniel and Kitty to be romantic, and that they all felt the same way towards him. This is from the _Bartimaeus_ sequence by Jonathan Stroud.

The only lgtb book i've read is "Aristotles and Dante discover the secrets of the universe" and its also the only book (ive only read 36 books, its not much i guess but still) the only book that ever made me cry. It's SO freaking beautiful!!

I'm so happy that you put unbecoming on your list! We had to borrow a book from the school library for English and the librarian brought some new ones. I ended up picking unbecoming out of the new books and it was amazing. I wasn't out to my mum at the time and the way it shows the main character discovering her sexuality whilst dealing with the relationship struggles between her mum and her gran is beautiful. It doesn't solely focus on her sexuality but discusses family, friends and romantic relationships really well. It also made me cry multiple times, I can't recommend it enough. :)

Oh my god lmao I read Simon three times also haha. Becky is sooooo nice. My librarian is an author and through a group she knows Becky and she told her how much I loved it and Becky sent me a signed UK book and a book plate and a bookmark! She also skyped my school's writing club so I sat in on that and just asked her questions about the book and the companion coming out (nothing was released yet, it was just like two weeks after the release). Such interactive authors are amazing

I recommend The Ghost of Buxton Manor by Jonathan L. Ferrara. It's a gay romance with some ghostly paranormal elements and it's loosely based on Rupert Buxton and Michael Davies (the inspiration behind Peter Pan). You should really check it out!

I am absolutely in love with this list and actually wanna buy all of those books. I'm LGBT and study creative writing and english lit at uni so LGBT books are very close to my heart. I've seen in the comments that you've had carry on recommended which, if you haven't read it, it's AWESOME!! Also wanted to recommend the song of achilles by madeline miller. I could not put it down! I would recommend tissues though because I cried so much reading it!

I love that finally someone mentions the Half Life trilogy. Those books literally breaks my heart in million pieces. Everyone should read those books.

I see this is an older video, but I'm here because of Simon Vs. you are right, it was a beautiful, happy story. The book ended and I wasn't ready and I miss him so much, so I am craving more of that, and am searching for similar books, thanks for the great list. I kept pausing to find the books and my Kindle is now full of potentially wonderful books. I'm 40, and these just didn't exist when I was growing up, it makes me so happy that they exist now. Your generation is so lucky, as messed up as the world can be, some things are getting better.

this book wasn't out when you made this list, but History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera is an amazing LGBTQ book. It's probably one of my favorite books I've read this year. It's seriously so amazing. If you haven't read it, I definitely recommend it.

I haven't read 7 ways we lie but it's actually LGBT themed is it good? I haven't read it cause It's hard to find in bookstores
One I stumbled upon lately is a hidden gem on Amazon. Check out 'Loving Keera'. Its an urban lesbian drama and it was a great book to get lost in all the characters and just seeing how their paths crossed. I got into it and couldnt stop until I was done! I searched it on my Kindle
Simon vs the homosapiens agenda is amazing. It feels so real in its own lighthearted way, there is diversity and accurate representation of how teen frien groups are, they are all so different but also the same

I highly recommend Holding The Man . It is a memoir by Timothy Conigrave , it's honest and a beautiful read .

A Boy Worth Knowing by Jennifer Cosgrove is probably one of my top favorite books! It's actually the first book I read after FINALLY getting out of my reading slump of several years and I was so glad. It's about a boy that sees/talks to ghosts and gets a crush on his new/only friend. I personally enjoyed it greatly and encourage all that like LGBT+ YA books to check this one out.

I just finished symptoms of being human and OMG ITS LIKE MY NEW FAVOURITE BOOK! It's so good and I recommend it to anybody struggling with gender/ sexuality stuff.

OMG there this book called all it took was one look it's only on amazon but if you want you can read it on wattpad the last 10 chapters are not there it's about a alpha wolf who falls in love with a human it's so good and there's something that happens that I didn't see comeing till I read it again and I was like ok she did foreshadow it. Anyone else here read the foxhole court/all for the game series? I haven’t ever seen it in videos yet it’s such an amazing lgbt series it’s not lgbt from the beginning but it’s so amazing and it’s not the main focus BUT it’s a big part of it it’s so so good and i 100% recommend it it’s not well enough known or talked about it’s deserves so much more love

I've read almost all of these books and working on reading a couple. These are amazing books and some of my favorite reads, lgbt and not.

So I stumbled across this video, and I feel that I should recommend my personal favorite book series "Captive Prince" by C.S Pacat. If you're interested it's a beautiful series full of love, betrayal, hurt, and more love. There are some themes that many people might not be comfortable with, so I suggest reading the trigger warnings before, but it really is a beautiful series.

Release by Patrick ness should've been R. I just read it and it was amazing and shows good and bad relationships that happen to both be gay relationships
I do not disagree with you, Release is an INCREDIBLE book! (spoiler: I've made a second one of these recently and Release IS R!) but I made this video 18 months before Release came out. :P
