I've lost 20 pounds in the past 5 months and lowered my A1c from 7.2 to 5.3 during that same period. I've been type 2 diabetic for over 20 years. The main thing I am NOT doing is exercising. Working on changing that. I'm 77 years old, so walking is about the best I can do, for the moment. My doctor cut my dosage of glipizide in half at my last appointment, but I forgot to ask him what I have to do to get off of everything but Jardiance. What are the odds of me getting off of Metformin and glipizide? Thank you, I enjoyed your vlog. It was easy to understand.

You're welcome. Thx for your feedback, I appreciate it. I work hard to make things clear and understandable. What I've seen in 30+ years of clinical practice is that reducing dependence on prescription medications requires focus on the 5 steps in The Yates Protocol: nutrition, meal timing, stress, sleep, exercise and strength training. Usually 2 or 3 steps are the most important for healthy blood sugar levels. It will be great for you to see how your blood sugar responds to exercise and strength training when you add those into your lifestyle mix. It might make all the difference for your health. Since your doctor cut your dosage of glipizide in half it sounds like you are doing some things right to get that result. Yay for you!! Please keep up the good work.
