  • We're taking a wrecked 1988 Jeep Cherokee and fixing it for as little money as possible. We'll show you how to inspect the damage and how to pull the frame back into shape the right way. Then, we'll give it a facelift with some updated sheet metal. In fact, we're spending so little on this project we're calling it our "Cheep Cherokee". #jeep #jeepcherokee

XJs are basically made of papier-mâché when it comes to safety.
Remember that these were designed by non-Chrysler AMC in the 70's. The safety cage was for rollovers, not small-offset frontal impacts.
XJs never came with CV shafts. Those are from a ZJ and are 100% interchangeable between each other.

As a teenager myself every time I see one of these “low buck builds” I get frustrated because they have thousands of dollars in tools and lifts which make things super easy for them. I really would like to see them try to put a rebuilt motor into truck or a car under a big tree. I don’t have a lot of money so that’s what I did on my very first install. It was difficult but I made it work. It’s just annoying to watch videos like this because of the title then you start watching the video and realize there’s nothing really low buck at all about this build. smh 🤦‍♂️

4:25 the only thing you care about the car is that the radio works and that's it, its a beater jeep your not going to care about it anyways.

I want to convert mine to a 4wd.

It is easy to convert to 4wd. Just find a 4wd jeep that is close to the same year you have pull transmission transfer case and drive lines. It should all just bolt in. Makes sure the gears match front and rear.
