SKippy's Guillow's S.E.5A RC Conversion - Part 3 Fuselage

Hey everyone thanks for watching! Just over 540 subscribers now which is amazing, if you haven't already please do subscribe.
This video sees the construction of the fuselage and covering with the provided tissue.
There will be a slightly longer than normal break between this video and the next as we go on a family holiday. Next up is the final putting together an paining.
These Laser Cut kits are so much nicer to build and easier to work with!

Nice work! Keep in mind those are large tail control surfaces on a short coupled airplane. Small movements will have big reactions. The balsa landing gear will be a weak point. I copied the balsa landing gear parts in spruce and reinforced the fuselage mounting points. Haven't had break yet on some rather hard landings. 😁

Thanks Jon. I will use wire as per the plan to reinforce the gear and will limit the throws for the rudder and elevator 👍

I like guillows kits. But i wish they would arrive in the 21st century and offer kits which are already prepared for rc installation.

True, but it would take out some of the challenges and there are so many different types and sizes of components to choose from 👍🏻

I use Mylar strip, small piece glued in with CA, 2 bits per surface 👍🏻
