    Bucerías meaning "place of divers", is a small beach resort town in Nayarit on a stretch of Mexico's Pacific coast known as the Riviera Nayarit, on the Bay of Banderas, between La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Nuevo Vallarta.

    Yes we have visited Bucerias a few times. Quaint beautiful little town. Stayed very close by at two different resorts and we'd visit Bucerias and once rode a bus to Sayulita. Always wanted to stay at the Hotel Palmeras, there in Bucerias

    The Zona Dorada (aka the Bucerias Art District) has a weekly art walk, art galleries , art walk, boutiques and restaurants....and in my opinion a better part of the beach. Seems you may have only been in el centro and north of it.

    Oh Wow! I love, love, love Bucerias. We go there almost every year. Great food, and I find the prices much better than PVR if you know where to look. There is an artsy part of town on the opposite end of the centro from where you were walking. Did you find the taco stand in front a the little grocery store -- amazing goat tacos as a breakfast/almuerzo item. Make a point to stay there when you get the chance and sample some of the restaurants. Get the Huachinango! Saulita is a fun day trip -- and a real trip. Surfer dudes, fancy coffee bars, hipster skinny jeans, and very pretty streets and views. THE place to go if you want your own custom surfboard. Glad you got to visit!

  • @mhfnet
    @mhfnet Před 2 lety

    As much as I like the coasts in the Winter living in there year round is another issue. I would much rather have a place in the mountains with awesome weather all year round and beautiful cities like Queretaro or Morelia and take a quick flights to visit to Bucerias in the winter to get my beach fix. But heck some people are happy to live in high heat and humidity for 6 months of the year to live in places like Florida, so to each their own...

  • @ElectriccLuv

    Hey, Laura! How would you compare all these Nayarit beach towns (Sayulita, Bucerias, San Pancho, others you have seen? We are a young couple looking to move from CMDX to a not so touristy, sustainable Nayarit town. Something with arts, cheaper, authentically Mexican, not too touristy and good internet.. Haha, basically dreamy! :D Thanks in advance!

    • @laura-bronner
      @laura-bronner  Před 3 lety +2

      San Pancho probably ticks all of those boxes except for good internet, but no beach town that I've been in has really great wifi in Nayarit. They are starting to have it in Sayulita, but it's pretty expensive compared to good wifi in Mexico City. I was still able to upload videos on the Wifi that I had in Sayulita which was just normal wifi, not the high speed, it just took longer.

      @@laura-bronner Hmmm, interesting. I work as a self-employed web & marketing consultant and having a decent connection to work on wordpress-based websites is a must anywhere we stay for any length of time. Saw they had a work space business in Sayulita but I think that town is probably too spendy and touristy for us. We will have a mobile wireless hub for whatever cell/internet service we get so if there's good cell service we could be good to go. LOVE Baja but there are so many large areas where there is not even cell coverage... Don't think it's doable..
