I cant understand why you can't see it through, all of us guys that have been with you from the start would love to see you guys finish it..
They grinded and welded it with the glass tool in so all the sparks on the glass the need to replace . That's why it showed with no glass.
Attention Buyer please send a few photos when you finish this lovely LSE. This is the vehicle that drew me into your channel. Watching Chris weld all those rotten spots up and finishing them to a factory spec still WOW. Thanks Gentlemen
This is the reason I subscribed to the channel all those years ago. I love this project. I wish It got done last Christmas as a special. Fantastic project and one everyone's wanting finished
Could not agree with you more, Classic RR or crappie vans? To be honest I have stopped watching it's so boring now. I only looked in because it was the RR. Silly me🤣
Such a shame that you're not going to complete this, I know you say that you don't pick and choose projects for content but this would definitely be more interesting than another white van or another VAG vehicle
200 hours? So 2 long weeks work and you'd split another 45k, just can't understand why you wouldn't just get it done. You know it so well you'd do it quicker than anyone else and it's an icon of your channel.
Honestly given the amount of work having been put in and the level of quality of the workmanship, I would put this through a classic car auction. There will be a queue of people waiting to get their hands on this.
What a shame, been watching since the start and always keep my eyes open for an update on the LSE. Rather watch this than a front ended audi any day of the week. I really hope you reconsider, i highly doubt anyone else will do the restoration the justice that you guys would have.
This was my introduction to Salvage Rebuilds. Gutted not going to see it finished.
this car was the reason i started to watch the channel, i waited all this time 😅
Struggling to understand this one. It feels like spending a solid 2-3 weeks on it will yield you approx. £40k. I don’t think the 3-4 flips or salvage rebuilds you’d do in the same time will yield the same. Even 1 day a week maybe ?
Yep for sure AND we'd all like to see it.
@@pauldyson5121 Yup.
This was the project that brought me to the channel! Sad to see it won’t be completed by you gents but sometimes you have to move on ! Thank you for bringing it to a close! 👍🇨🇦
Same, first episode I seen
Come on guys finish this one. The channel will love this one getting completed.
Never normally comment but I would like to see this get finished!
Such a shame this isn't going to be completed on this channel. I respect how time consuming it would be and how busy you both are but this is one I'd loved to of seen done.
What a shame your not going to finish it. It was what got me watching your channel. Sorry but can get a bit boring just doing salvage. The the land rover and the Viva spiced it up a bit. 22:46
You guys are CRAZY not finishing that off - it’s soo close, all the value is in that last 15%!
Gutted they can’t see it to the end, this car is the reason I’m here.
Im a long term subscriber and im confused as to why you would decide to sell after all the work that you guys have put into it, all of the hard work is done, you said it yourself! I find it very odd that you say that you wont find the time but look what you just did in 1 day! Disappointing to say the least guys!
Hi Guys, another very interesting video. Do you think you might be able to encourage whoever buys it to make a video of the ongoing restoration journey? I suspect there are 272,000 SRUK subscribers who'd love to see it through to completion.
I’m not understanding this. Why not finish this project like the rest of the cars…..I’ve always wondered. I’m a big fan, followed Rob from the early days.👍
Was always a fan of early stuff haven't watched for ages till this thumb nail. Sorry that u lads never got to finish it.. to be honest I only liked the retro stuff on here just gripped me. All the best in future with ya work I did enjoy the early days. See ya lads
That's so disappointing, it made such a change from the usual cars you fix up on the channel, please reconsider 😢😢
Send it to auction so we can see how much it goes for!
why dont you just get it done ? whats the difference between buying a write off and repairing that and doing the classic ?
Such a shame you aren't getting this done but totally understandable. This was the project that got me hooked on your channel about a year back. I'd snap your hands off for this if I had somewhere to store it
Rob, watching you re-assemble the interior of the LSE was an absolute pleasure. It was so satisfying and the repairs that Chris has done, coupled with that lovely paint job on the floor, door shuts and roof etc is perfect. Very very nice work my friend. 🙏
Disappointing to see you guys ditching this one, would have been one of the best rebuilds from all your videos, but you guys concentrate more on the average day to day cars, I think if you actually concentrated more on such classics like you did with the rs turbo s1, you will get a lot more support on your channel, sad to see you guys not take this one to the end.
I bet support on the channel don't put food on the table though and average easy to sell cars do. Sadly
@@NicksGarageUk agreed, classics are niche despite what people in the YT game think. You have to bring a name to YT to get any real traction aka Harry Metcalfe or Jonny Smith or do crazy deals and flip things quick like Hoovies Garage, or simply have high turnover of vids like Hubnut/JayEmm/No27 to see half decent viewing figures with classics. It's strange how a channel built up through bent Fiat 500, Fiestas and work vans works so well but it's as much about personality and R&C have that in spades.
Sorry Rob and Chris - I don't get it. The value on a good one of these surely makes it worth your time to complete.
They will earn more money on other cars they can do quicker. With the time this will take and the low CZcams video figures it will probably get makes it a no brainier to get rid
They could make 30k to 40k. There average is 1.5k profit 20+ projects profit. Also the like and comment here are going through roof, it make decent CZcams money too. It's the time there short of which I get 😢 really am gutted though
I was really hoping yous would finish it 🤷♂️ I was looking forward to seeing this got finished 😔
A trip down SR UK memory lane with this one I must say? A case of what might have been with this project but totally the right decision now to move it on to someone else . Hope it finds a new home now 👍👍👍
Pity was looking forward to seeing it finished.
Hello Rob and Chris, well done on getting this project started for the next buyer. It will be lovely when it’s finished. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged
Someone is going to love this motor. The long projects is different from where you wanna be. Shame, though the content you've shown has been brilliant. We're good. You're class.
I'm shocked you guys aren't building it and making a huge profit but you know better than anyone why and why not. Fantastic channel!!
Comments speak loudly. Such a shame to see this not finished
Rob, it looks as if you were beginning to fall back in love with it. great channel, thanks for everything
It's a shame that you don't have the time but well done guy's that you have made the decision to move it on I'm sure that will sell without any problems 👍 looking forward to the next one 👍
This was the reason I started watching your channel all those years ago. I hope we can see it finished
This looks like it would be a lovely old bus when it's restored to its former glory ❤ 😊. It's a pity you 2 fellas didn't have the time to finish it because as always it would have been done to perfection. Only been watching your channel for 2 years and your love and perfection for your builds only gets better, take care and stay lucky and healthy 👍 have a great weekend looking forward to Wednesday's video 📹 as usual.
I’d given up hope we would ever see another episode on this restoration
same 😂
Ask for your refund. Oh… wait…
Just wondering why if it's worth so much finished you wouldn't put the hours in to get it done? Is your heart just not in this one? I don't see the advantage of fixing some generic car over this. Or do you estimate numbers of hours to complete vs expected profit? Doesn't bother me, I'm no fan of the LSE, just curious to your decision.
I’m guessing they will earn more from CZcams figures on other cars which are quicker to do. The lse never got massive views on its videos
@@bevangarner ooh, makes sense, as I thought the LSE was actually popular. Perhaps only popular to a few who keep asking about it.
You can hear the enthusiasm for this car in your voice. Getting carried away is the best thing you can do. Get on it, there's got to be money in it even if you paid a restorer to finish the job.
such a shame this never got finished when so much was done. and then to make no money off it! heartbreaking
I like many, was hoping we could have seen this beautiful car brought back to life. Many of us started watching this channel in its early days and I certainly felt almost an emotional attachment to this old girl. Its a consequence of success not to finish it, but I am also enjoying the ongoing varied content, lets be mindful of the very fact that these guys are running a business in the first instance and as such. Considering their successes so far, we have to be pretty confident that they know what they are doing!
Great to see you put it back together. Shame you haven’t time to finish it but understand you have to make a living and that leaves no time for this one. But it does leave time for more content on new projects for loyal subscribers. Have a great weekend Rob and Chris 😁
This is the only SRUK video I couldn’t watch. You’re throwing away a good profit, and I feel like you’ve given in…sometimes it should be about the content and not the hassle. Gutted.
surely this just needs paint and rebuilding? you did the rs turbo so why not this?
I think its a massive shame its never got finished. Whilst i appreciate the viewing figures for the work undertaken weren't huge - even getting it sorted quietly in some manner off camera so to speak would have ultimately reaped financial rewards - im sure a bodyshop outside your locality could have come up trumps with getting it repainted and fitted up in return for some active promotion and updates on the channel. I totally get that there is a sweet spot in viewer stats as per how many episodes a project takes and that Range Rover dates from the 'rookie' period of the when you were working out your formula as the dynamic duo!
I just hope it gos to a deserving owner who will see the car right - and not waste all the hard work you've both put in to it - we all know what its worth when fully completed 👍👍.
I don't know why you don't just get it done and dusted and out of the way. That's a great car for an enthusiast to enjoy instead of it costing you money taking up valuable space. You're both doing well for yourselves and can choose what jobs you take in, so just give yourselves a bit of space in your schedule and get it sorted. Love your work 👍
Hi gents it's john from Gibraltar,I remember when you guys commenced with this project over thtee years ago,the amount of work and hours you put into this car is priceless. 5k is extremely cheap.
Wasn't it purchased for £2k?
Shame you did not finished this project. I remember this when I found your channel. Like to see it again when she is finished by the new owner.
It's sad you haven't got the time to finish it. Most of us watching tend to watch the same channels, and I know that when anyone puts out a Range Rover videos the views go through the roof.
Like others have said, try and sell it to another CZcams channel who can use it as the basis of a full restoration, then we can follow its progress on there.
This was what made salvage rebuilds what it is
Excellent project for someone once completed it will be brilliant Range Rover
Of all the cars the dream team rob and Chris have done this has to be the best car I’ve seen them do best of luck guys 🍻
Should make time instead of saying you don't have time
Instead of buying a boat..
What a shame after coming so far with the project, surely it’s worth finishing off guys.
Fair play lads, your running a business and we can clearly see you dont have the time, you didnt know the channel would sky rocket like it has which has been really good for you both but time moves on things change, really hope you get what you want for it well done for getting as far as you have with it. 👍
It's a shame you wont get to finish this one as it's from the start of the channel, from the dodgy music people moaned about to the coining of your catchphrase "let's get involved"😂 great couple of lads right there can I get a job 😂😂😂. I should of done a channel too but in my workplace it's far too busy and I do very similar work much respect.
I would have thought finishing it would be quicker than some of the write-offs you do.
But hey ho. 👍
Put it through the auction lads, that would make a cracking video watching it been sold through the auction!
You're getting very handy at the editing and voice overs Rob. Another great video. I must be watching ye for 3 years now. Always wanted to see where that RR would end up. I think ye are mad only taking 5k for it with the work ye put in. Auction all the way. On the other hand though, it'd be great to see an enthusiast take the project over and bring her back to her former glory. Be nice to see a few pics if that happens
Time is the enemy for us all guys, sometimes you just have to say let someone else have the pleasure of finishing the job, I’m sure it was a difficult decision for you both, nice post
Offer it to Mat Armstrong. Would be good to see this get finished by another CZcamsr so we can see the progress.
Oh, lovely car to put togheter. A lot more fun than a rusty old Nissan, and btw I could use Rob with that speed he's working in.
As allways: A really nice job, guys. Wish you all a nice weekend.
I 100% understand why you've had to move on from this project but I'd have loved to have seen it finished to the usual high standard we've become accustomed to.
Can't believe u never finished this... unreal
I discovered your channel because of the first videos on that
same here
I agree with the others saying auction it, as then you will get a better price and some content.. Gutted you are not finishing it but understand.. I hope the new owner brings it back to show you the finished thing so you can show us all. Great project for someone.. £5k is a steal..
You could of made a lot of money off that! Shame to give up on it.... we have been waiting a long time to see this finished
Love it bonus vid, ain't even got popcorn ready 😂
Hi Rob &Chris I would love the number plate as my initials but fully understand if complicates things too much thanks guys 😊
I like cover to cover your posts never commented before just thoroughly enjoy watching you doing what you love 👍😊
An honest approach to something that you can't finish unfortunately that's the nature of the beast success time and money
Think you guys deserve 10 k for this classic machine
Hope you get more money
Rob/Chris, don’t know if anyone else has made this suggestion but please don’t sell it off for £5k, people will get killed in the rush take off your hands at that price. Can I make the suggestion you put it through a classic car auction as it stands, with its provenance and links to you guys it’s bound to make way more than your asking price, then if £5k is all you want to take out of it just donate the rest to charity. You two guys are so honest I’m sure it would work. If you do sell outside of an auction someone will make an absolute fortune on it. Good luck whatever you decide,
I'm sure someone will snap it up. Are we going to see the "L" reg campervan getting finished very soon ??
Ahh your not finishing it then.
Thought that would happen!
Would have rather seen this finished than the series 1 lol
What a let down! 😢
Very sad to see the Range Rover go! I found your channel, seeing the first video with the Range Rover. I‘d love to see more content with classic cars … You developed the whole workshop to a complete new level! This is amazing and an inspiration for me. Keep up the good work!
Surely if it was worth 5ok finished you would be doing it. That would be a good month for you with just that car alone
It was just flicking though and saw the Range Rover jeez Rob it’s Saturday night and I’m not expecting a video 👍👍
This was the car that got me watching you guys
Rob I’m amazed after 3 years you remembered were t all went
Gutted it's going 😢 really wanted to see you guys take it to some shows. Feel it's a little like the Cosworth but money in the bank is sometimes better.
This is what bought me to start watching this channel roughly 3 years ago
That Range Rover is a bargain at 5K alot of the hard work has been done. 👍
Cannot believe that it’s been 3 years Rob , great work the channel has just gone from strength to strength !! Keep up the great work .
Been great for you to finish but only so many hours in the day! Great project for someone at a very fair price👍
If you both cracked on with it for a month it would be sorted……£50k for a months work…why sell?
Agree a lot o folks restore cars for a good Iiving. Rob & Chris could.
I’d love to have seen this finished’ but realistically you do have a lot going on lads . Let’s hope someone carries on with this ‘ and we will eventually see it done 👍
i hate it when tyres are only flat at the bottom, you'd think they'd be flat all the way around 🤣
I think u have proved in this vid that u would be mad not to finish it, get it painted then a few days to put it back together, job done, come on guys u can finish it
I think you could finish it a a special livestream event. You could maybe even allow 1-2 followers the chance to join you. Why not turn it into a special challenge livestream event over the course of few concentrated days. One last push to get it done.
Please finish this
I like many would really like you to get this done to your normal high standard, we all know that you're both really busy, and Chris is mid way through the redevelopment of the yard, which must be a drain on the cash flow, I think you're to close to let it go, come on fellas, show us how brilliant we know you are
Come on guys put this in front of of other work it’s criminal to abandon it. It’s all about choices…
Glad you’re letting it go needs some love you both have done your bit ,enjoyed it while it lasted.👍👍👍
Try it in an auction. It would be an interesting video.
Funny that, my tyres always go flat at the bottom too, must be a northern hemisphere thing!😂
At the end of the day, my thoughts are you guys are running a business and you cannot afford to be sentimental about things. It is a sad day that you have to let this go, but I think it is the right thing to do. Might it be worth having a talk to the auction folk and see what they know. They may just know of someone who is looking for a project like this and certainly hey will give you a good estimate of what it is worth. It may also be worth contacting Rimmers as they are experts in parts and projects. I used them a lot in the past for Rovers and Rannge Rovers.
Whatever you decide the best of luck. Cheers, Bob
£5K Rob & Chris?!?! That is an absolute steal chaps!!! Someone will snap that up pronto I feel sure!!!
Don't do it Chris, how many motors have you got rid of and regretted ??? Don't do it !
