- This video sumerizes a part of the work that went into making this Range Rover driveable over the course of the last year. This project has been a great learning experience for me and also triggered the project car addiction.

Top job. Keeping the Land Rovers alive! 🙏🦘
Thanks!! :)
Absolutely loved watching this old Rangey come back to life. The final scenes on the sand dunes looked like an old 70s TV advert for Range Rover . Brilliant !
Excellent work
Epic mate in the middle of doing the same!, i can feel the blood sweat and beers that's gone into bringing this Rover back to life. Awesome effort.
Thanks!
Absolutely love it,the amount of work and time you put in is incredible. Great job
Excellent work, thanks for sharing! Inspiring to grow a pair and finally start restoring my Disco 2.
Amazing video! What a lot of work! Impressive!
Well done. Cool to see all the rust cut out and new life been put into it.
Thanks!
I'm in awe and inspired. Wow.
Enjoyed the compilation. I was not subbed for early episodes and never got around to watching, so it was nice to see from the beginning!
Thanks! glad you liked it :)
Great job!
Really enjoyed watching that. I found the choice of VW diesel a bit unusual as I kinda expected a 200 or 300TDi to go in.....but well done on getting it all together. Hope it gives you years of enjoyment!
A 300tdi would have been the best but I couldn't find any in Canada!
I do like your videos Ludi. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻😊
Thanks Dave!
Great work!!! Got an '84 RRC Turbo starting work soon
Awesome!
brilliant vid, and the truck is fantastic ludi, great work time too enjoy it
Thanks a lot! :)
what an amazing job. well done mate
Thanks!
Amazing lads
Making your own engine/trans adapter plate is next level fabrication skills. I would love to a conversation like this when the 3.2 in my Isuzu trooper finally gives up, 180,000 miles and counting.
Nice recap !!
Thanks man!!
Good work 👍👍
Thanks! :)
Ahhh the workshop/Garage...the greatest safe space known to man.I suspect when I die I will end up in the(my) great workshop in the sky which will only be a short hike to the Latina section.
Talk about getting it done. 👍
incredible.
Tu m’impressionneras toujours!!
Hihi ;)
nice job!have fun! :-)
Thanks!
Bravo !!!
Merci! :)
Hi Ludwig. Amazing job on this car. I would like to ask you how are your impressions months after it was done. I have a RR Classic with a VM 2.5 engine which is running really well now, but I'm afraid one day will not, and parts are difficult to get for this engines. 1.9 tdi is easy to get and cheap here in Europe, and one of the most reliable engines ever made... but it looks like an small engine for a big car, but maybe is just a feeling. Other than the overall result, what about the consumption? TIA.
Que tal viejo antes que nada me gusta tu canal y tus proyectos.. un pregunta me recomiendas un tdi 1.9 para un zusuki samura? Y es necesario instalar con computadora y arnes?
Quick question, what paint did you use for the frame and the axles? Got to do some refinishing myself soon.
Just some oil based rust paint… wasn’t setup to do full sandblast and epoxy
@@ludwigseeley6359 Awesome thinking about the same. Like rustloeum type oil paint then a top coat. Thanks!
Better take that LC the best 4x4 ever made.
Where are you located
What's the cc of the vw engine you tucked in? Good job!
1900cc, thanks!
A chicken apprentice, now I've seen everything...
Haha 😆
I got anxiety looking at the wiring!🤦
What are they thinking about when they are putting this small Diesel engine in this heavy car,it’s a way too small.
Good job but I would have thought that dinky "car" diesel engine would not have much grunt in the Rangey - LR 300 tdi maybe more suitable and more horses ?
the 300 tdi has around 120 ft/lbs of torque and same ish hp, the ALH tdi in this truck is around 270 ft/lbs of torque and 150 hp (not the stock turbo however)
I think I would have done up the donor car if that engine is as good as that even if it chokes the following cars !@@ludwigseeley6359
@@alanak3210 I must say it was tempting haha
What mpg do you get on it now?
Getting approx 10.9l/100summer and 12.4l/100 winter but still have an issue with slipping torque converter so could be a big better
@@ludwigseeley6359 I have a 2003 discovery in New York. And only get 12-14 on the highway. Want it to get a lot better to travel more with it :/
@@NYCRevolution1 yeah I just swapped a v8 in a fj80 and it’s a ton of fun, but would never consider driving across the country with it 😂
It must be as gutless especially head on in the wind
A discovery 2.5 diesel would have been easier
I clicked to see the girl. I’m thoroughly disappointed. But at least your rover people.
Nice job but unfortunately the wrong engine… ! Rover V8 would be better … 😉
Haha sure would heat up quicker in the winter
Range V 8 👍👍👍👏👏👏
range tdi 1.9 L 💩💩💩👎👎👎
Bodge job.
