    Another great video Adam, I love that you've lightened up a few steps & chores with your voice commands to Alexa, You're a very good-hearted kind person to take on that abandoned pond and get those guys really going and cleaned up, keep it coming, Don't give up we all want to see the end result of a once weekly look at them in the end after the abandoned pond is exactly where it should be!

    The heavy cleaning is why i moved away from the 2 nexus 320's that i had. Now im running a 80m3 hour drum 3 m3 of k1 moving bed and 500 kg of bacteria home and with my havy feeding it holds up so much better than the nexus and i clean the bacteria home at the start of the season and that's it. love the video's! always nice to see an update :)

    Nice to see you using a variety of filtration methods there Adam 👍🐟. I had a nightmare with pressure filters when i first started koi keeping check out my first video. But i did only clean them weekly n discovered loads of gunk inside when i opened them up which had been causing me issues. Im now on a nexus 220 n a k1 bead filter which i clean every 4 days with 11 koi. I would have loved a drum but the mrs said no due to us being on a water meter £€$ another great vid mate 🐟👍

Then I realized it’s a business when I saw the big tank and fabulous carp. Puts my 8’ x 6’ pond and 20 goldfish to shame. I,l be back to watch more, thanks.

    I upgraded my nexus 300 centre section to the 320 and added auto kit, best thing I’ve done to pond, I have a large vortex before which takes most of muck. I did have to install a non return valve after pump as when cleaning water was being lost from the pond. Just added a Cetus sieve on skimmer before bakki shower

    Hi Adam - loved the video - quick question - I can see your’re using a pump to get rid of your waste water from the filter - could it be done without a pump into the bucket? Sorry if it sounds like an obvious question! Also where did you get the bucket from and what’s it’s capacity? Thanks a lot.

    • @AdamJulyan
      @AdamJulyan  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi, Not unless the bucket is lower than the nexus as water needs to fall out of it if i didn't have the pump gravity would only half empty it as the bucket is higher than the bottom of the nexus.
      It's a standard koi tank 48"x24"x24" most dealers can get them i think it holds about 300litre.

    • @AdamJulyan
      @AdamJulyan  Před 3 lety

      It is in almost every way the same as the Cloverleaf ones the difference is the white inlet and outlets and the sticker that says cloverleaf isn't on it. The wiring and competent and housing are the same.

      I’ve got a 280gl pond with 10 or so 8-9” koi running on a laguna pressure flow so very similar to the filter in your video. I’ve got to say, I only clean it out maybe two or three times a year! I’ve got crystal clear water and don’t have issues. I couldn’t be cleaning it out 2-3 times per day!
