Pretty interesting to see that once their missiles ran out, so did their skill

I won’t say that they had no skill, but at the same time the F16 has a radar gun sight man. It can be iffy with a slippery opponent but I find it to be accurate enough. Kinda disappointing.

I know how to evade missiles with an me262. It’s tricky but possible
I actually got a few kills with my gun. The problem is that the F-16 only has like 600 rounds, so the cannon runs out faster than the missiles.
Funny enough the first F16 that got taken out was by a kikka which had much worse firepower then a Me262 let alone F16, max respect for that Japanese pilot
in an original 262 it'd be still harder to hit because kikka's type 5 cannons HEF-T round goes 920m/s when any round from MK 108 goes only 500m/s. That's why japanese 30mm's are slower and don't have minengeschoß but are actually better

I think if the first match was p80s they would’ve won. Looked like the low velocity of the German guns let them down quite a bit
@@ivanfromtheeast4709 they have Mk 103's which is higher velocity than 50cal, same with Mg 151 basically
@@sabrinaboisvert1141 the mk108 fires with a muzzle velocity of 1,770 fps while the m2 fires at 2,910 fps so not only is the muzzle velocity faster it also has less drag

the first F16 player just spammed missiles, his aim with the cannon was honestly pretty terrible, not a particularly interesting battle to watch

That's kind of the point. The F-16 isn't just faster and more agile than a Me 262, it also has much better weapons. And yes, I did get kills with the gun. The F-16 only has like 600 rounds of 20mil, so it runs out quickly.
And if you're questioning my skill, I will gladly 1v1 you F-16 vs. F-16.

fun fact, the head of the luftwaffe towards the end of the war actually used the 262 and mainly used it as an interceptor due to its exceptional speed compaired to bombers and the guns that were used on it, including the 50mm anti armor gun that could pritty much break a wing before you could say "bandits" if you had good aim.
The 262 variant which carried the 50mm cannon (the Me 262 A-1a/U4) had 2 built. As far as I am aware, none were used operationally, and if they were, I highly doubt they ever would have hit anything.
262 pilots lamented their closing speeds with enemy bombers, as it gave them such a small window to shoot that it led to far fewer kills than one might expect. Knowing this, I can’t even imagine how difficult it would have been for pilots to use the 50mm.
Case-in-point:
If it worked as well, some version of it would’ve seen use post-war. The closest we got to it was the single 37mm cannon on the MiG-9 and MiG-15, which was specifically intended for taking down US strategic bombers. It was so difficult to use that pilots whom were exceptionally skilled with it in-training were awarded a special title, “Sniper Pilot.”
@mfil92 sniper pilot class qualification was created in 1971 so it definitely had nothing to do mig 9

The 7ms couldn’t get enough signal to launch, I kept trying to launch the 7ms the entire time but the only time I got enough signal was in that head on

They werent even low lol, they just refused to get signal for launch, I think it might have been speed difference

Why no one using the Me-262 C2b?? Gives a little edge for the dogfights against modern jets. Would love to see a C2b engaging.
Yea well the boosters would help but only a little. Also i only saw the a1 and the squadron one , so i guess that's what they had to use.
This reminded me of how I, a P-400, shot down 1 F-16, 3 MiG 29s, and 2 MiG 21s

Mig 29 is faster than f104
It's so easy to dogfight 4th gen jets in 1st or 2nd gen jets. You have a smaller turn radius because you are slower when at max speed.
Thats y top jets dont engage in dogfights

In first round there was literally no chance for 262s unless the pilot us stupid. You just shoot your missiles, go to space, rearm, repeat. Big respect to the Kikka pilot.
I like so much your content:) I would like to see, more of the historical recreations, maybe battle of Łuck, battle of Hannut or battle of Falaise? The war in Poland (1939) would be very cool, but we don,t have to much Polisch vehicles (like PZL-11, TKS, Karaś, Łoś, 7TP, Wz.34)

Honestly, while I find it cool to do these vs matches, the first round was obvious. The 262 can't climb. It's engines are atrociously bad (in RB) and with the enemy getting it's missiles back every few seconds, not a chance
Agreed, they basically just could and did sit at long range/high altitude and spam mach 4 missiles against a trans-sonic jet. Wouldn’t be different if it was bi planes or even Mig15s

I managed to shoot down a f-14 tomcat in a french monoplane with 20mms it took a good hour or two but I managed to do it.
As much as I love the 262 the meteor is older
I see a me 262 from Brazil
The first part is just outright boring. Missile spam all the way, and 2nd round shows that pretty well after the two F-16s expended all their missiles.

Minor skill issue with the F 16 pilots... kind of disappointing
Had the speed, climb rate, and weapon advantage and performed terribly. Could have just been because of the way it was edited but once they ran out of missiles they were terrible at dogfighting, just proves even some top tier players have as much skill as new players
