I think the object 279 is a bit too powerful, yes its meant to withstand nuclear blasts but still from quite a distance, I've seen people drop 2000lb bombs right ontop of it and its perfectly fine yet the bomb leaves a giant crater, how are the crew not at least overpressured from that

Good thing about soviet tanks is, while their APCBC shells aren't as good penetration wise, they have very good angle penetration and absolutely monstrous amounts of explosive filler even for lower calibre shells, almost twice the amount that of USA shells

As a history nerd I must intervene the tiger from the story told in this video did not fight 50 t34 tanks all at once it fought them in waves as they crossed over a railroad track another side note is that Russia was using a military model of power in numbers and so its tank crews where extremely under qualified alot of the time a other side note at this time in the war Germany's economy was under siege and so the tiger running out of ammo so soon could have been attributed to A Germany not having the resources to fully fill the ammo racks or B the damn tank had been in a previous engagement and hadn't had time to restock on shells (ps you make great videos but i cant take historic missinformation wether intentional or not)

I've read a lot of first hand accounts from Western Allied tankers in WW-2 (and actually knew a few as well) virtually all of them said when they encountered German heavy armor they would either try to out flank them, track them, hit the turret front with white phosphorus -- or if it look hopeless, they'd call in an air strike or arty. Some skilled gunners might aim for the turret ring or lower mantlet on Panthers. But I've never hear of any of them purposely try to shoot off a barrel.

It has a good armor for a TD and good DPM, but this TD is so difficult to drive, i always scared to go frontline

Should have put it up against the Tiger 2 - Not that it would probably change anything but the Tiger 2 armor at the time was insane and a fun fact - No tiger 2 was ever destroyed from a frontal attack

If you guys did this in realistic a tips would be to dont punsch The throttle at some point The stick will stop working due to overspeed (happened alot to me in realistic before i notised The overspeed)
