This video was so great. My lace/tulle/mesh info is informed from training to ventilate wigs so it’s interesting to learn more about the distinctions between the fabrics.
Ooh fascinating! I, conversely, haven't really delved into the world of wigs (though swiss lace has come up, I'd love to see that in person!) so I'm glad it was helpful!

I would really love to see a fingerless glove sometime. There’s a lot of possible designs, beading would look lovely and it’s a smaller project. I’ve been looking at a lot of 80s does 20s lately 😅

All these videos are amazing! What are all the options to apply the image of your design to follow on your fabric? I know I could use my laser cut machine with a marker instead of a blade to draw designs on lighter colored fabrics. I love watching anything you're making, so whatever you love creating most is my vote. Thank you!🙏
this is a great question! I am planning a video dedicated to applying the design but - lots of options depending on fabric and marking tools. Prick and Pounce is a good one but doesn't work very well on meshier fabrics. heat-erasable or washable pens are also good, and I tend to draw my designs on paper (the old fashioned way) instead of digitally, so I'd be tracing them by hand but you could use a machine as well! Another option is transfer paper, which is great if your fabric is opaque.
Have you ever made a beaded hair covering? Somehow the stretch in these make me think of a knit hat.
I have two questions. First off, where did you learn all these skills? Secondly, did Unit your show yourself? Because I love it, especially the rainbow gradient, and knitting is actually one craft I do know. Thanks for sharing so much knowledge about tulle.
Why do people not say the House of Alexander McQueen once the designer pass away? Or Alexander McQueen by so and so? Because designs they do now doesn't look like something he would have designed (in my opinion). This is just my rant lol 😄. Thank you for all your videos. I'm learning so much. My Degree (aas) is in fashion design. I haven't used it in over 15 years and getting back into it. Your videos are helping me get that creative juice back running.
This is a really good question! I don't actually know the reason, but I'd assumed it has something to do with the original human by that name creating a business that has the same name...maybe it is just a colloquial shortening! I'm going to have to google this now! I totally know what you mean though - I feel much the same way about Dior. Thanks for watching and for posing this interesting question!

The thing I have a problem with the most is actually finding patterns and understanding how to fill in a space to achieve a cohesive beaded look that’s not too busy, but not too plain either, do you think you could maybe elaborate on that in the future?
This is a common question! I don't really have a magic bullet of an answer - and designing patterns is so personal, a lot of it is about figuring out what you want to make, but I do have a video planned around the steps I go through when planning a design and I'll share my steps and thought processes for a few of the pieces I've made, so hopefully that will help! It'll be at the end of our little learning series :)

Do you happen to know of a comparable tulle to the one you used with your wedding dress that would ship to the USA? I love that the holes are so small!
Frustratingly no - I had to order LOADS of samples to find that one - it was called "Invisible tulle" and it was in the bridal section of the shop's website, which might help, but there's a really irritating lack of consistency across descriptions as far as tulle is concerned so you might have to do the same and order samples.

Haha of course! The shawl here is Goldenleaf by Nim Teasedale (www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/goldenleaf) and the one from the last video (The Beyonce Bodysuit one) is Travel Mode 2.0 by Sosu Knits (www.ravelry.com/projects/katkat92/travel-mode-20) - As for what I'm wearing under each shawl, you can't really see much but I made everything and they're all my own self drafted patterns. I will attempt to remember to do a proper outfit tour next time!
Ok I have a question. I was on Instagram and I saw where a person was ironing embellishments fabric on top of another fabric. I was wondering what they were using. They were advertising bobbinet mesh. So are you telling me? You can put mesh in between two fabrics. Iron/press it and it become one piece of fabric? No adhesive needed? Is bobinet mesh and organza the same?
Ooh good question- bobbinet is a type of 100% cotton tulle and wouldn’t stick to another fabric without adhesive- organza also wouldn’t, so I’m not sure what they were using. There is a heat-activated adhesive made by heat n bond called “fusible web” that can be used to adhere two layers of fabric together- could it have been that?
