oh god, you are the biggest face of “i have my disability but my disability doesn’t have me”
love u, u are wonderful
I couldn't agree more.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow, love that statement
"It's like the Gods are playing bingo!" I love that so much
😂😁
Fletcher Shore Me too! 😂
Fletcher Shore I was just about to comment that 😂😂
have been dying of laughter bcuz of that line...i can completely relate to her position tho 😂😂😂
I missed that-where was it, please?
You literally have smashed EVERY stereotype for a disabled person and a LGBT. You are THE most beautiful person I've come across both inside and out. You really have the most beautiful aura about you.
Oh! I LOVED LOVED your comment. Exactly how I was feeling about her, precisely what I think about her channel. THX
Vivs GM me too!!!
CZcams needs to take a break. Your comment shows up as a comment I saw on a previous video but when I go to reply it shows you actual comment.
Crap I meant to like this comment not dislike it please forgive me
Implying stereotypical people are bad is shitty behaviour
Lol I always forget that you’re half blind and deaf. You’re so good at communicating and pushing through the struggles. I respect you so much.
“You’re not disabled enough to be on this show.”
“Oh yeah?” *loses sight in one eye on top of being deaf*
Yeah plus wtf does "disabled enough" even mean lol
I saw the synopsis for each episode of Britain's Missing Top Model and in the episode where Jessica is eliminated is says "Jessica's attitude towards her chronic fatigue" and I was like wow, what the fuck? She got eliminated because of her disability and yet they said she wasn't disabled enough for the show. So seriously fucked up.
So you have perfect eyesight in both eyes but one eye just isn’t big into sharing. Maybe wear an eye patch to show it who’s the boss. "I don't see why I should be the only one who can't see out of that eye"
Sounds like an interesting idea, never thought of that. x
its what doctors do to kids, they use an eye patch so they can get the eye to work and not be lazy. My cousin had one for a year.
Jessica Kellgren-Fozard I sometimes have to cover my left eye especially if I am fatigued from just general life of a mom, because, while I technically can see out of that eye I am looking through a big scar tissue patch covering my cornea. Meaning light, color, and vague shapes can be seen but, don't let that eye try to take over visual focus duty because, I can't see anything other than the giant blur glasses or not. Fun part is both my husband and I are blind on our left sides. So yes I can attest covering the damaged eye can at least force the undamaged one to learn to be primary focus since we only use one eye at a time normally to do so. Best of luck and thanks for being so open informative and sweet.
That's for amblyopia. It has multiple causes.
Wearing an eye patch for a lazy eye is actually for a different type of eye related problem. However that doesn’t mean it may not work for you but this isn’t the same as having a lazy eye. Just to let you know :). I learned the reason for a lazy eye in uni I however have a hard time explaining it in english sorry.
You're so cute and pretty and your positivity is so contagious and wonderful! :^) I am so glad I found your channel
em Was gonna post the exact same thing! 😊
Thanks! 🌸
yes!! me too!!
Yes! I knew a guy who was visually impaired in one eye for 30+ years (he regained his vision when he was...uh...electrocuted. Don't try that at home.) and he had a pretty awesome and interesting life as a professional musician. He basically told me the same thing that you just said, Jessica, "You just keep on keeping on, and it's fine."
Nicole Piechocki woah
if it's true that he regained his visoon after being electrecuted, then it might be possible in the future to have such medical treatment and give people their vison back. (obviously depending on the reason for losing it)
You are the only person that mention a lot of things ''bomb scary'' and you still say it with a big beautiful smile...definitely you are a hero and an inspiration
Thanks Maria! Smiles, always the best 😊
Your perspective on life is just awesome! To me its a good mixture of recognizing "Well this is kind of shit and very frustrating, but it is what it is. Moving on!"
Thank you :)

"you are still you no matter what happens. you are just as smart, just as kind, just as funny." i needed this today and everyday. 💕♿️💪🏼
+agirlisariot 😘 you keep on keeping on!
I'm a spoonie too, and I'm crying now, but in a good way. It's so easy to forget that, and sometimes, I feel like I'm just alone and waiting to die alone, lol This lets me find that spark again. Thanks!
1:22 eye got sad that you were talking smack about it
"and now you probably have some added black humor to throw in there" hahaha you are hilarious Jessica :D
ha ha but is true!
So many of us have had Drs either not believe us or they test for a while and then it's as if they lose interest or get bored if they stop getting the results they expect! Thank you for being brave enough to share your experiences and your chronic illness journey, you have inspired me to do the same on my channel xxx
You are so welcome! I'm just happy my experiences can be helpful to someone else xx
Some of the Doctors just passed her on. How irresponsible of them. It's shocking, but happened to Jessica many times. She's a warrior.
@@KindCountsDeb3773 happened to me too it’s the way they are trained it’s awful
@@BeverleyButterfly It's cause some just don't want to tackle a complex case, so they use the excuse of "it's not my specialty". You don't want that kind of attitude in Medical practice or doctor. Sorry you had to be confronted with that.
You are the antithesis of:
"It's not the cards you're dealt, it's how you play them"
Love to you and yours from Vermont.
I have several disabilities and am glad to have found your videos. I am blind in one eye, have a lazy eye & coloboma in that same left eye. Glaucoma, sight all gone in the bottom realm of my visual field doc watching me for a brain tumor. I have 5 kinds of arthritis I was born with all this but have never been held back. At age 28 I am still going on have many bruises & scrapes but not much stops me. I am headed to a scooter chair soon & have fought that for a long time but watching you has helped me transition to this next phase of my life. My scoliosis & spinal stenosis is progressing to where I will soon have to compensate. You are a beautiful woman thank you for your videos & sharing your life.
I am also blind in my left eye due to an optic nerve coloboma. Youre the first person I've heard use that word other than my eye specialist! Thank you for sharing. I hope you stay positive. Much love. Xx
I love how positive you are in every video, it's such an inspiration to young kids and even adults that are going through some of the same things as you that everything is going to be okay, thank you so much for making these videos, I love them 💋💋
😊💐🙌
The moment you talk about Drs and it not being their "specialty" - 😂👏 SO with you there! Made me literally laugh out loud 😄
👊
Omg. Please do readings for audiobooks! Your voice is delightful! ❤️
I love your voice and your pronounciation as a not native speaker you are so, so, SO, easy to understand! Not like most native speakesr that don't pronunce their sounds propperly hahah :)
She is a native speaker though :) She wasn't born deaf.
+Isabella Tate She wasn't
I know she wasn't born deaf, that's what I said. :)
+Isabella Tate Oh yeah sorry I read it wrong my bad xD
Okey now I see the confusion, I am the "not native speaker", not her.... just a direct translation from my mother tongue! Sorry for the misunderstanding! When I read it it just implies that I am the not native speaker, but I see where you are coming from, sorry again!
That’s exactly how my right ear went, it’s been two years but I remember it perfectly. I remember all of the pain, I remember being terrified that it wouldn’t come back, I remember the brain splitting ringing that went on for two days. I also remember the days that follow. The doctor saying it was an ear infection, the only ENT doctor in my city that takes in minors say to me that be would have probably been able to save it if I had come in sooner after waiting over three months for my appointment. I also remember my mother crying, crying because she thought it was her fault, if she had just yelled a little louder or gotten a second opinion.
It has definitely been weird, I have completely abandoned my cross system since it’s easier just to turn.
It’s surprisingly one of the best things that has happened to me in a surprising way. It has given me a new perspective on life and it ended up being a big game changer, it also helps weed out true friends.
Welp that’s the end of that. That’s my looooooonnnnnggg way of saying this video is #relatable and that I love your content!
Keep on keeping on
Feel like you went back in time and inspired the 'Keep Calm and Carry on' slogan. Honestly, your videos have such an inspiring message you should do a TED talk or something!
Ur voice is Hella soothing
She said audiobooks were good and i was like yeah. Then i remembered she was deaf and was like ??????
Suggestion to those who can actually hear perfectly
Fe
I love the fact that she always wears something vintage
I wish I had even half of your positivity. I have severe mental illness and psychosomatic pain disorder and I just gave up. You’re a wonderful person and I feel guilty that I can’t cope and I should be able to if people like you can.
TheFoxFan You have a lot to cope with. Maybe sometimes you can cope, and sometimes you can’t. You aren’t all one thing. Feeling guilty is understandable. But it probably doesn’t help. And giving up can be temporary. Best wishes.
Don't compare. Those two words helped me so much when I was in a similar mindset. Just because someone else handles something well does not mean you should too. Everyone is completely different, different memories, different lifestyles, different personalities. It is ok to give up sometimes. It is ok to not be able to get out of bed some days. It is ok.
P.S. I'm sorry if this is not helpful or you have heard it before, I meant it to be helpful, even if I am 2 years late.
“And I’m screaming and screaming and SCREAMING”
*ukelele music continues*
*"I HAVE ONE EYE,MIC DROP"* I LOVE THAT..
All of your videos should be shown in schools, on the NHS and to anyone who needs to be cheered up. I've discovered more about myself through your short stories, challenged ill informed misconceptions i held and i thank you.
Dark humour is the only way to cope with the obstacles of life, but sometimes falling is half the fun.
I've been watching since 1am, its getting on for 4am, the black bags are worth it!
What an incredible woman you are! Xx
I’m also partially blind in my left eye, and it’s actually kind of comforting to see somebody else with this kind of issue. A lot of people don’t quite understand it, so it makes me happy to have at least one other person who does. Thanks for sharing!!!
After my mom's brain surgery she lost some of her sight...well, during the surgery, I suppose, because they had to cut some things out of her brain, like eyesight nerves. Anyway, it was very hard for her because she lost her ability to read well. She was a reading teacher by profession; it was very sad, and hard. Anyway, she has regained and retrained herself quite well and can read, but her reading comprehension rate is still not nearly as good as it once was. She used to be able to read a 500page book in a day, and now can possibly read a page in a day with the same comprehension. I am very proud of her; she has had a very positive outlook similar to you, and being able to see that in her throughout all these hard times has motivated and encouraged me very powerfully. Anyway, keep up the good work, Jessica!
You are the embodiment of the "keep calm and carry on" British attitude.
I just recently discovered your channel, and I am so glad! I love your makeup/disability/relationship coverage of all the things :)
+Anna Morgan thank you so much! Glad you're enjoying the channel ❤️

It's always a better day when you post 😄

Thank you so much for telling this story. You're such a special person ❤️
You seem like such a wonderful and strong person! So inspiring!!!
I just found your videos about 2 days ago and I am in absolute LOVE with you and your whole personality.. You've had so many things push you down but you still seem so happy and joyous about everything. You're a real inspiration.. seriously.. and you deserve nothing but the BEST in life ever.
You're style and personality is the best thing I have ever seen!! Keep up the happiness!
Power to you, Jessica, you brave girl! I wish you all the best in life! 💟💟
Totally appreciate the humor place in your videos! Thank you!!
I don't know about anyone else but I would love to hear more about Quakerism coming from Jessica! A real person is so much more understandable and interesting than a Wikipedia page.
lucy moon talks about it on youtube a bit, its super interesting
I found your channel just hours ago and I am already so very amazed by how your positivity manages to get to me, and you're so good at explaining/telling stories and just-- ahhh subscribed and continuing to watch all your videos until there is nothing left to watch!
Your positivity is so wonderful.
I try to transfer it into my daily life. It is not easy, but it really helps me.
Thank you so much for your videos.
I love this video - I love the way you explain things. And 'remember ,you are still you' is the best catchphrase ever.
Your positivity is beyond me. You are such an inspiration and your ability to make something so serious lighter baffles me. You deserve all the love in the world. :)
Your honesty and humanity are truly moving.

i found your channel by chance earlier this evening, you're really lovely and inspiring to listen to and I hope you're doing well!
You are wonderful thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I am visually impaired/ legally blind and I find you very inspirational. You are so strong, you really are someone to look up too. Thank you again.
I just stumbled and I'm glad that I found your channel. Thank you so much for this! You're very inspiring and uplifting. The world needs more of you and your beautiful outlook in life. You deserve more subs! New subbie here 🙋🏼
You are so positive even though you've had some crap thrown at you! This positivity is just inspiring!! Xx
I LOVE the sims Jessica!! Helps me deal with stuff all the time
I don't know how I found you, but I'm so glad I did. You light up my day! I have some minor health issues, and when I feel like I can't cope I remember all that you cope with, and it makes me feel like if you can do it, so can I!
I'm so glad I found this channel. I struggle with severe depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and have normalized epilepsy. Seeing you be so positive and honest helps me bring it into my own life. I start every morning with you. ❤ thank you for everything.
You are so empowering for people. You seem to overcome every challenge that is thrown at you.
It's really inspiring to see all that you've overcome and to still be such a darling to people. You speak like a kind person, in such a world full of anger. And that's strong and amazing. Thank you for being here and spreading love and acceptance around.
I've been feeling absurdly blue and your words are a balm to my soul. Thank you so much for your work into these videos Jessica, I can't tell you how much I appreciate them right now.
It's so fascinating on so many levels to watch you: the fabulous content as well as the fact that you manage your challenges so well that most people probably wouldn't even notice anything unusual unless you mention it. I'm really sorry you had (and still have) to go through so many tough times and I admire how you can wrap it up in the biggest smile and move on. And I'm happy for you that you have a lovely wife who is there for you in those moments that challenge you off camera. Much love ♥️
You are just the sweetest person. Your conditions must be so frustrating but you seem determined to see the beauty in everything and adapt and be successful. You are so hilarious and beautiful and I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel :D
I just started following you recently and your channel is so wonderful. I don't have any other disabilities but I have been blind in one eye my entire life, and it's... impacted me a fair bit in unexpected ways by disqualifying me for a career I wanted to follow, and I've had a really hard time trying to move past that. Thank you for being so real but also so positive. Acknowledging that it sucks but trying to move forward anyway. I struggle very much with that. It's nice to see that it can be done!
your videos make me wanna cry because so many horrible things have happened to you and you keep staying positive and sweet and i was over here worrying because i have a flat ass but there are more important things in life
You are a great inspiration for me. You have no idea how you have helped me in life situation. In dealing with physical difficulties that are not visible to others.
Thank you so much
I remember seeing an episode of that show, and loved it. I had no idea until now that you were on it.
Your style is everything
You are always delightful and positive :) I enjoy your videos, bc you're so positive :)
You are such an amazing person and such an inspiration! Wish you all the luck in the world :)
I love your upbeat attitude. When you and your wife are communicating on the videos, I cant tell you are deaf. You are amazing. An inspiration to me for sure.
I've just come across your channel and I've got to say, WOW! I love your style it's so feminine and those auburn locks you have, amazing! I've always had a thing about the styles of that period. I am in total awe of your joie de vivre despite the hurdles put in your way and you have one of the most infectious smiles I've ever seen!! To me, your presentation style is wonderful, so positive and uplifting with excellent information too. Please keep up the wonderful work you're doing and thank you for sharing your trials and tribulations with us mere mortals!
You are a supreme inspiration and I adore you.
You are absolutely amazing I just want you to know that. Your indomitable upbeat spirit is just so infectious. I love how you have these disabilities but you don't let them define who you are
I love this so much. I've had vision troubles since before I was a toddler as a result of a condition and I never really stopped to think about those kinds of nice things. I just live with it and it can be hard sometimes when it's so troublesome, but that doesn't mean there aren't good things.
Thank You for using your own issues to help others who have disabilities or conditions that can hamper there lives and worse. Your POSITIVITY is such a tool and could/does help many to cope, and be happy thru the pain or limitations. They do not feel alone in their disability.
I appreciate you so much. You're so adorable and I'm inspired by you as a person.
You are an amazing person. I've been watching your channel for about three months now. I'm learning so much just watching. I have chronic illness as well. I tune in to your channel when I'm unable to get out of bed due to a flare, weak immune system, intensive pain, and God knows what else. I really respect you for being so open. Sharing your experiences is incredibly helpful. I find that people are afraid of talking about the subjects that really impact life. Personality, my husband says I over share, but I don't care. I have previously been stopped by so many people trying to get the right information to solve some of their own issues. You are educating so many individuals that may be apprehensive or unaware towards additional resources. So please continue the amazing and courageous efforts. You're beautiful inside and out.
You've been through the ringer! Hugs! Keep on winning at life and keep on being your awesome self.
You are such an inspiration and you are just gorgeous. I wish you all happiness in life. Glad I found your channel! 💕 Your outlook and the way you sound so positive makes me happy 😊
Thanks Nancy, so glad to help!
I don’t have any hearing impairments but it’s really easy for words to slur together when people are speaking, but when you talk I understand everything! I watch everything with subtitles but I can watch your videos with out them and understand perfectly! Thank you :)
I just wanna hug this woman forever
"The God's were playing bingo" lol I love how positive you are with all things you deal with - day to day. Sending love! Love love love your channel! Found you and now can't stop watching!!!
Love your outlook Jessica. Thank you for being you x
🌸😊
I don't know how you manage to be a such a lovely and wonderful person, full stop, but especially given what you have been through health-wise.
I LOVE your outfit in this one 🖤🖤 and the content/message as usual!
You are AWESOME. Thanks!!!
Hi, thank you very much for this video! I am also blind because I have retinitis pigmentosa. It was very interesting to listen to this video and hear your perspectives and story. Thank you very much for sharing all this with us. I appreciate it! Matt
you are awsome! purely funny, but deep at the same time. congratulations for being you!
You explain everything so well!
I just found your channel and I have been watching your videos for hours!!! Love your personality and your channel so much!!
2022. I came across your channel and subscribed. I started with your shorts and then your longer vids like this one and with your baby. Despite all your setbacks you somehow find a silver lining. Your positivity is surreal. Inside I’m smiling, laughing and crying with you, but outside I’m absolutely stoic. You don’t deserve all those setbacks. You are living your life to your fullest 10x more than most people. So unfair. You, ma’am, are the definition of strong and inspirational💖
Thank you. You are the first person I know, other than me, with one eye for seeing and the other eye being yours but not working. I also often forget they consider me visually impaired.
I love your videos, I'm so glad for finding your channel.
I love your personality so much!!
I k ow this video is an older one. But I have to say you truly are an inspiration on how to get thru this human experi2nce. You've been thru so much in your life and yet you still have a cheery spirit that shines every time you speak. Tha knyou for being an amazing human being.
9:07 - the fact that you smile when you say that is beyond my comprehension. Respect.
Thank you for sharing your story. Your such a strong woman x
I absolutely love your style! You are gorgeous!
I just discovered you through your instagram!! You are beautiful, strong and inspiring and I can't thank you enough for sharing your positivity 😊 ❤❤❤
