Every time I watch this opening it brings me right back to my childhood. I was 6 when this game was on and it’s just nostalgic. Saturday nights and Hockey Night in Canada. Unfortunately living in southern Ontario I was subject to watching the pitiful Leafs every Saturday night.

They're better than the Avalanche uniforms. They were also in the colors of Colorado's state flag, which made them more appropriate.

Notice the inside of the net in the middle with that long protruding piece of metal. That was later removed when Mark Howe slid into it and it went up his rectum and he was seriously injured. (And that my friends is a true story)

Great highlights! Thanks for uploading this. I'm writing this a mere three hours after this video posted, and I notice there are already 152 views. This goes to show just how much the legend of this dynasty lives on. I look forward to more videos from this great era!

Right off the bat the goalie equipment looks incredibly small, no wonder they came out so far to cut the angle.
I grew up idolizing the big three, they all played well here. Hard to believe The Flower would retire just 3-4 years later, he was still flying.

An exciting game. I had forgotten about the offside rule moving the puck from the defensive zone over the centerline. I had also forgotten how goalies moved much further out from the goal line

Do you have a complete, or somewhat complete game that you can post? I would love to see this in it's entirety? I love those old Colorado uniforms. Ahhh.the nhl seemed so much better back then, I can barely watch hockey now, and it makes me feel bad to say that.
